Keto on cycle?
ad
So right now I'm on a cut, doing keto for a little while and it's worked well for me so far, I've lost weight but not any muscle as far as I can tell.
Anyway my question is should I drop the keto diet once I start my cycle? I'm definitely going to stop staying in a deficit once I get on cycle I'm mostly wondering if I'm going to need carbs more when I'm on gear?

The short answer here is that if you are going to bulk and try to add muscle tissue you cannot do keto. Keto is low protein high fat. The amount of protein you need to bulk and grow tissue will throw you out of ketosis due to glucogenesis. Cut on cycle with keto yes, bulk no.
I would say do your test at 200-250 mgs a week and stay on the cut. I recently did the same comeback after years of battling depression and letting myself go. Went from 270 down to a best of 215. I only used test and var until I got lean enough then added some tren e into the mix to bulk up the muscle a bit but I would highly advise to lean up a little more before doing high doses of anything.
Right, so if I'm just going to do a cutting cycle should I just go ahead and start or should I wait till I lose ten more pounds like I was planning
You don't use steroids to get into shape, completely unnecessary and a waste of a good cycle. Use them once you are in shape.

Lol that's what I was telling sele and he argued that I should use the test for a cut. After two people mentioned it I kinda thought maybe they're right
Steroids come into play with a cut when you have to implement more extreme dieting techniques to cut additional bodyfat and at that point they will help preserve muscle tissue when implementing those more aggressive techniques. No special or aggressive techniques needed to get bodyfat into the lower teens. Unless you are doing something really stupid you shouldn't be losing any muscle tissue to get to that point. Save the steroids for when you actually need them.
Right on -- yeah I really don't want to waste the stuff or my time. About to my goal as of today
sele137And why not continue with the CUT on the cycle as well? I understand that everyone has different goals, but I would continue until at least 10% BF and only then go for muscle gain.
Why would I use the gear if I'm gonna be in a deficit? Won't that basically be a waste and something I can achieve with diet and cardio alone?
No you can definitely use the gear and eat in a slight deficit. Wouldn't suggest what your doing now but figure your Maintenance calories and eat in a small deficit and continue the cut.
sele137That's a very strange question. Are you saying that you will only use gear when you work on mass?
You plan to build mass on gear and then cut without steroids?
I wouldn't say that it's a shame to save as much of the muscles you've been gaining for months. It is illogical that, for example, you gain a kg of muscle on a cycle and then on the definition without steroids you lose two kg, and that is exactly what would happen and you would not even know because you are not at enough bf to see the difference and the scale shows the same, only the problem is that the kilograms on scales don't measure muscles, and you would subjectively think that you haven't lost any muscles.
The point of what I wanted to say is that MAYBE you should get to a certain BF and only then start working on the mass because new muscles will not miraculously float to the surface. If you are now, for example, at 20% fat after the cycle, even with an excellent diet, it will not be less, but more.
Nailed it, thumbs up. And to the OP, how do you feel on the keto diet? There’s no such thing as cookie cutter diets, we’re all different and need to figure out what works best for us as individuals. @Makwa is probably the best guy here to discuss these things, he’s given me priceless tips, but even reading his older posts and comments will take you far. Sit back, relax, put your feet up, and take 2-3 hour out of your life and read up on Makwas posts. It will truly be a game changer for you and I’ll guarantee you will lower your dosages and get better results. Best wishes bro
I feel pretty normal doing keto, I've never really liked carbs all that much. Always been more of a meat and cheese type of person so I don't feel like I'm missing out on much other than not being able to eat most fruits. And makwa is the man, I've read a few of his posts about losing weight and stuff like that. He's given me a lot of knowledge already and so has this forum, I'm so glad I found this place before I just did a cycle without the proper information.
Gotcha, well I see you've been on here for like ten years so I'm going to assume you know more than me lol. I will probably be doing this then, 10% body fat seems extremely lean but that's kinda what I want is my muscles to be more visible and then I can build more. You're right man, bulking for too long was what got me where I am so I shouldn't be in a rush to do it again especially after losing weight
If you are truly in full blown keto, and cutting, try upping your fat intake as that is what your body is using primarily as a source for energy.
I know for me with certain compounds I need a lot of carbs or I’ll feel like I’m going hypo. But just test I don’t feel that way
Yes. Depends really on what your trying to achieve. Are you pretty solid already or what? Post up a before pic bro
Here's where I'm at currently just took this picture. Can't really flex properly since I'm holding the camera but I'm mostly just unhappy with my love handles.
Ok what are you going to run as far as this cycle?
Just test c, 500 a week. It'll be a little while before I start just trying to know what to do before I need to do it
Train hard. The test is going to be a game changer. If I were you I'd break it into a few injections. Don't load up on carbs because your just going to put on fat that way. High protein moderate carbs and go hard man. You'll shape up. If you want change you gotta try to kill yourself with that iron. These bodies we have no matter the look of them are naturally strong and resilient. It takes a lot
I am gonna be going hard for sure lol. I'm already upping my frequency not really been trying to lift heavier but staying at the same weight on my cut I feel like is a good sign. I just want to lose about 10-15 more lbs before I start. Never gonna allow myself to get out of shape again and it's crazy how you can lift consistently for years and still be out of shape cardio wise lol
