High blood pressure
ad
So I know a side effect when running high doses of test can raise your estrogen and cause water retention, high blood pressure, and other side effects.
I have anastrozole if I start bloating, I’m also prescribed Clonidine (to help with anxiety) even though it’s a blood pressure med.
Would that help reduce high blood pressure if I was to have that side effect?
I’m still dialing in my TRT so I have some time. Just curious how the clonidine will affect everything.
Thanks guys.

Yes colonidine is for high blood pressure. I hate it tho. It makes me tired and gives you crazy dry mouth. Be careful because it’s not like most blood pressure medications. It drops your blood pressure right away. I wouldn’t take more then .1 mgs to start. That’s POINT one not one.
F'kin Dry mouth from BP meds is a real bitch ain't it - especially when training.
That’s the dose I’m prescribed. I was mainly just wondering if I do get high blood pressure from something in the future, if this would be something okay to use to help, or if something else might be better, which someone pointed out other medications also help reduce pressure on your internal organs, so I may want to try and get those if it’s safer/more preventative. Luckily I don’t really have those side effects from clonidine. It does help me sleep a bit at night, but I can take it during the day and be just fine.
Cialis Keeps my blood pressure damn near perfect. But I have never had bad BP unless running anadrol for weeks
Would you have high blood pressure if not taking the cialis?
I would have high blood pressure on cycle and always like 154/92 abd around that range. I found that 5mg/day cialis would bring it down to like 145/82 and around there so when i went for a physical the doctor wasnt freaking. Last time i posted that i was attacked by eroid cyber bullies telling me there is no way cialis made that much difference even though cialis was created for blood pressure originally. So you can believe me or shrug me off as someone who just makes up random shit lol. But my last appointment my A1C was high so she put me on Lisinopril and now my blood pressure stays down. Tell your doctor you have maternal and paternal history for high cholesterol and blood pressure so when they see your vitals on aas they cough it up to genetics.
Cialis works.
'The Eroids cyber bullies!!! LMFAO
What was their reasoning for using Lisinopril for A1C - I never knew it brought that down? Isn't it normally Metformin they use for that?
Actually started taking 1500mg berberine from amazon for 6.4 A1C and when i went back 3months later it was 6.0 but she said dont matter once you hit 6.4 im now flagged for life as "diet controlled diabetic" even if i keep my A1C down. Didn't tell her about the berberine she thinks it was my diet change so ill let that get the credit, hehe. And no, she dont know im on AAS.
I have seen Berberine is very effective for high A1C, although a little expensive. It's the gear thats raising your Blood sugar mate, if I run Dbol that hammers it up in my bloodwork. Not sure if it will go against you - but if you tell them gear is the reason why then they will look at it differently and just as a temporary thing.
I know its the gear and its not what they are thinking but my doctor is sketchy and dont trust telling her im taking an illegal schedule II bought from a website. Plus everytime i even have a headache or backpain she is gonna say "its the steroids" and not look into what it really could be and might be something serious. The answer will always be "stop taking a schedule II drug not approved by usda"
No but having high A1C now puts me in another category so what they allowed for blood pressure is now a lower standard if you are pre diabetic. So MY high normal blood pressure is now considered high.
Couple natural supps you can try. Carditone, Arjuna bark, co 10 and fish oil.
Are you prescribing your own TRT? Are you using TRT as the term for being on cycle, which has been the new choice of wording lately? Do you have preexisting blood pressure issues? Are you fat and using gear to lose weight?
Answers to these can help us.
No. I’m dr prescribed TRT, but after my trt dose is figured out, I’d like to run a test only cycle first. Blood pressure has always been good whenever checked. I’m prescribed the blood pressure meds for an “off label” use for anxiety from my psychiatrist. Not fat - I’m actually trying to put on weight.
Awesome. I would just keep my eye on it. Hugh blood pressure can be relative depending on many things. I’m usually around 130/60 - 140/70. Unless you have preexisting issues or family history, I wouldn’t proactively go on anything.
Anytime I’ve had vitals taken at doctors, my blood pressure is always fine. I don’t know the exact numbers, but I always ask if it’s good and I’ve never gotten a no. Family history, I’m a little unsure of, so it’s hard to gauge that. I don’t know a lot of my family.
I would just monitor it yourself. I use a cheap wrist monitor that is very consistent with the doctors office. If you feel something is wrong, then react.
I believe having read the uses for it, you should be fine to use it for possible high BP resulting from steroid use, some medications are however better than others for achieving this alongside gear. Most will choose a specific BP med such as an ARB or ACE inhibitor - Lisinopril, Ramipril, Telmisartan or Losartan or the choice of many as they also help relieve internal pressure in the kidneys meaning they do not get damaged. I use Losartan for reference now but have used Ramipril in the past too. If your kidneys become damaged then the effectively the sieves inside them will leak bigger molecules such as Protein, Blood and Glucose into your urine which is definitely something we don't want. Best way to check is the monitor your BP on cycle and if you are regularly over 135/85 then my advice would be to either use meds or upgrade your medication.
Well said brother! Heart and especially kidneys are damaged from long term use if blood pressure isn't controlled.
I also believe we all should check our GFR (Estimated Glomerural Filtration Rate) at our post blast bloods, just to be sure to keep an eye on possible damage.
Yeah I would’ve never known about it relieving internal pressure. Thank you.
For a beginner, what would you personally recommend to have on hand in case? You use losarten, any particular reason over the other ones?
Thanks
I managed to get this on prescription as I wanted to make sure I was using proper Pharma medication rather than a UGL version - so I had to go with whatever the Doctor prescribed initially. They actually put me on Ramipril to begin with but for some strange reason even from the initial dose I was getting upper stomach sharp pains as if it was bothering my liver. Sure enough in bloodwork 2 months later my liver enzymes had rocketed, so I persuaded them to let me give Losartan a go as the newer ARB type medications are a bit better than the old ACE inhibitors. They agreed - as I was sure I went armed to the teeth with knowledge all about the drug to convince them it was the one for me Lol - no problems since then.
So your doctor knows you’re taking UGL stuff, and still supports you? Or are you on TRT and said you were having high blood pressure, which got them to give you the script?
The Doc knows I use gear but bloodtests here don't show hormone levels as such, just everything else. I say I am having problems with high BP and they will provide meds for it. This is UK though which is a different system to US I beleive as we don't need things like health insurance - which I think may be void if you declare you use steroids. You may find your BP is still okay and might be worrying about nothing.
Ah you’re over in the UK where people have a brain. Everything and anything that would affect big corporations is illegal here and yeah, our health insurance system is a scam that just looks for ways to deny claims.
I honestly don’t know what would happen if I was to go to my regular doctor, say I’m using that, and if they’d help. I know I went to my doctor to try and get back on anxiety medication that I was on for years, but had to stop taken it for reasons I don’t wanna put out publicly (very open about it, but not putting the public info out there) and my dr literally said “my license is not worth risking to write you your script back”.
My blood pressure is always fine when I get it checked at doctors and wherever. I’m not even written the script for blood pressure, it’s for anxiety. I also remember when I was taking more test in the beginning (couldn’t give you an exact dose because I don’t remember), I had a few times my blood pressure felt a bit high. My TRT dose I’m perfectly fine. I’m mainly just wondering if when the time comes and I start a test only cycle, if this would help if HBP comes, or if another medication would be better.
Pretty much seeing if I can get another use out of these and save a little money on the side.
Fucking America and their “health system”. I wish it was possible for me to get out.
If its just a first cycle and a case of circa 500mg/wk then I think you will be fine mate, that level doesn't tend to affect it that much if at all in some people. To get high BP from test only you have to run quite a bit more and probably with another compound. Only way of knowing for sure is to test the waters and take regular readings and see where you are at. Take it sitting down, where you have been at rest for 5 to 10 minutes and haven't eaten or drunk within the last 15 mins. Do not talk either while doing it, also somewhere of normal temperature and not too hot or too cold.
In regards your healthcare system - I have never been able to get my head around the fact you have to pay a doctor/surgeon to save your life, and if you do not have a way of paying for it then its tough luck
My budget is extremely tight, and if I was to get private insurance, I’d be looking at prob $3-400 a month. Then I’d still have to pay whatever my plans copays are, deductibles, and a percentage if they won’t cover your whole script. My insurance denied paying for my testosterone because they require two tests below 300. My first one was 200 but they wouldn’t accept it because it wasn’t time stamped. The second I was around 100. The third…314. The cut off…300. So they said nope he’s fine, and I have to pay for the medication.
I’ve been in the emergency room and have had them coming around trying to collect payment, while you’re in the fucking emergency room. I said no, I don’t have any money on me. She goes “not even like $100 or something?”
Some people have it worse to the point they have to go to the emergency room for something stupid, because they’re required to treat you, but they can’t afford to go to like a urgent care or regular doctor.
It’s bad.
WOW That is Insane!!! I mean in my world thats like £300 per month on something they seem to more often than not say no to anyway. I can just picture someone sat there with a missing limb bleeding out all over the floor whilst they are hastling for payment Lol Would you say it is good quality though when you have work or surgery done or pretty basic level stuff?
If you go to the ER, they legally can not deny you care. I’ve been fortunate enough to not have had too many surgeries. I had an abscess on my arm that got real bad because I didn’t know what it was and I was hospitalized for a week with a vacuum on my arm to prevent infection. The only other operations I had where my motorcycle accident when I got cut off, tried swerving to the left to avoid them and almost did, but my hand hit their tail light. It took the top 2/3 of my right ring finger off. I didn’t get thrown off the bike, I just remember hitting the car and being like wtf and look down and my finger was gone. Firefighters, ems, cops all came out and a fire fighter comes up while we are all looking for my finger (I was still in shock and couldn’t feel it) and opens his hand and says uhhh is this it? And I see my finger in his hand.
They brought me in the ambulance to the trauma unit, where they had to saw my bone down because it wasn’t a clean cut. Some of the bone was above the skin where they had to close it. They couldn’t save the finger. They also can’t numb bones. It was the most painful thing I ever experienced, even with a double dose of dilaudid. My mom said they could hear me screaming in the emergency room. I then had to have follow up surgery and have 4, about 6-8 inch pins put down my hand to try and help my bones heal. On top of losing my finger, I shattered every bone in my hand.
For the most part, I will say the doctors were good. They treated me well. They’re not the ones who come after you for money, though.
As far as regular doctors, it’s hit or miss. Some are shitty (like the one who told me he knows how hard mental health care is in America to get, followed up by refusing to put me back on my medication telling me “he’s not risking his license to write me a prescription”. They tried to book me with him again and I refused.
I have basic government insurance though unfortunately (Medicaid) because another medication I’m working on getting off would cost me $300 a month and they only take cash or Medicaid. So that’s holding me back, because I don’t make enough to cover $300 extra a month, PLUS pay for private insurance and whatever deductibles, co pays, or anything else. It really fucking sucks.
Outside of the emergency room, if you end up with an unpaid bill at a doctor or specialist, they usually won’t see you again until you pay them.
A lot of our doctors are honestly people that went to school over seas where you don’t end up in a million dollars of student loans, and then come here to work. You CAN find good doctors. The problem is paying and insurance. The system is kind of set up in a way to trap people in poverty, because if you don’t have insurance, come tax time, they’ll fucking fine you $600. So I’m literally stuck from working as much as I’d like, because I wouldn’t make enough to cover my bills AND medical expenses.
@JakeKO Check that out mate!!
And that’s why I sold my chopper a few years ago. It just got too dangerous with people texting and driving, and it gets worse every day. I just hung up my helmet after two many close calls. I almost lost my arm on my Ninja ZX7 back in 1996. 12 weeks later my bike was already fixed but I still had an external fixator on my arm. Didn’t stop me though, as I was riding again a few months later. Stubborn guy that I was. I still miss riding, but I have way to much to lose these days. Working out and fishing are my only hobbies these days.
God bless this guy. Hope he gets well soon!
Ty btw for wishing I get well soon. The accident happened back in 2015. I’m as healed up as I’m going to be. They did a good job, from what I can tell, with surgery to help all the little broken bones I shattered in my hand heal as straight as possible.
Yeah I stopped riding as well. I still rode after this, but someone cut me off while riding in november, something I didn’t wanna do but didn’t have a car at the time. Up in my area we get snow early sometimes, and the roads had already been sanded. When I got cut off, it was going around a turn and I slid. Didn’t get hurt, few things broke on my bike. It’s a 01 hayabusa. I started getting the parts to fix it, but decided against it. My family hated the fact I road motorcycles, and people truly don’t pay attention. So I did the same. My busa is still in my garage and hasn’t been touched for years.
I miss it a lot too. I wish quads were street legal, off roading and quads is what I love most, but it’s fucking illegal everywhere around me of course, so I’m shit outta luck.
I hear ya, Bro! Sometimes when I see guys riding I feel like Peewee Herman when his bike got stolen. What I hate most is discussing riding with guys and having to say I gave it up. I’m 53 and not dead yet. For some reason I seem to care these days. I never thought I would give it up, but my bike started sitting around unused, and American Iron Horse went out of business, so every part I needed was a mod job and cost me a fortune. My Petcock went bad and it cost me a grand to replace. That’s what really made me decide to sell it. I also had a DR250 that a liked to rip trails on, but I treated it like an RM250, and ended up breaking an ankle overshooting a jump, and wiping out because the berm came up too fast. Never would have happen on a two stroke, but live and learn. I still miss it, but never talk about it because I have two sons that would want to ride if they only knew how awesome it is. Damn, I really fucking it too.
OMG Mate!!! Bloody Hell, those pictures are brutal Lol Its almost like the tail light cut your finger off - I can't imagine how it would do that. I use to ride bikes back in my twenties and a woman literally went down the side of me as she must have lost me in her window pillar. Because I was so thin and didn't train back then my legs were tucked into the side of the bike and didn't get injured - but the force of her running down the side of my bike BENT the right brake lever forward on an R1!!! Didn't get my hand though. So do you have a prostheic finger now or just a stump? Did you lose a lot of grip strength from that?
I think that’s exactly what happened, the tail light hitting it at around 65 mph, took it right off. My right handle was completely broken and basically hanging on the bike. The only positive thing was I wasn’t thrown off the bike.
My grip is still there for the most part, I had to adjust how I hold a pen. Thank god most things are typing now. Outta all fingers to lose, this was the best one lol. I can still use computers and game no problem. The issues I have are gripping too long, my hand can start to hurt a bit. If my hand gets wet and cold, the missing finger tip hurts like a bitch because I guess lack of blood flow and that my bone has very little skin covering it. So my finger will really start hurting and start turning purplish if I spend too long outside in the cold. Mainly only happens when I’m snow blowing. Other than that…nothing else much was affected. I’d like to get a prosthetic finger…mainly so I can fuck with people lol. Tbh no one ever notices unless I point it out. I was super self conscious about it at first. I think one of my best moments messing with someone, I went bowling with a friend and her two kids. Couldn’t bowl for shit cuz I used that finger to hold the ball, but whatever. I tricked the kids into thinking my finger got lost in the bowling ball lmao.
