Its the wheat bro. Wheat is not clean eating atall, it makes people gain weight faster than any other carb source. And mordern day wheat is extremely bad for your long term health. I can almost guarantee your wheat consumption is the cause of your insulin resistance and as long as you continue to eat wheat and wheat containing products you will continue to gain fat and become more and more insulin resistant.
I realize this may sound like crazy heirecy to someone who hasnt heard it said before. So don't take it from me. Go pick up the book Wheat Belly. Its written by an MD and is completely life changing. I struggled with weight much of my childhood and during hs. I ate super low fat, all whole wheat this and that and just got fatter and fatter.
The way to stay lean is to drop the wheat.
Id also suggest doing some reading on the Paleo diet, which has great success in reversing insulin resistance.
Have you tried the No carbs after 2pm method? So far it is slowly working for me to cut down on bf.
I have heard of people having success with that. Honestly for me tho, the opposite works better lol. More of a carb back loading approach. I have a tablespoon of coconut oil right when I wake up before morning cardio. Then a high fat moderate protein breakfast of 6 whole eggs with cheese and about 6 oz steamed veggies. then go train mid morning. Isolate shake at the gym. Then once I get home I have my biggest meal of the day and most of my carbs. Lately this meal has been about 10oz eye of round roast slow cooked in the crock pot with 8oz white potatoes and more veggies. Then I'll round out the day with a 2 more smaller chicken and veggie meals (chicken also slow cooked in the crock pot). This meal plan has worked really well for me personally. I guess it is similar to no carbs after 2, except that I also don't really like eating carbs with breakfast. I find I want to take a nap right about when it's time to go to the gym if I do. I love cooking in the crock pot since the chicken makes it own juices and red meat you just add water, its the cleanest most natural way you can cook.
If I'm bulking, I'll also have a big shake at the end of the day with 2 cups almond milk, 2 scoops casein, and 2 tablespoons almond or peanut butter.
I used gprh 6 as I was told by my coach that it will help me get ripped. Results??? Not sure....can't tell if it worked.
BigBmajIf you didn't notice anything, it must not have worked too well. How much were you using?
