Blood pressure and EQ
ad
I started a blast on 11/16 (I am endo prescribed TRT) with 500mg EQ and 500mg test, probably my 10th cycle in life. I am 6'2 235lbs and 13-14%bf. So I know being from EQ in the past I wanted to donate blood. I went yesterday and my BP is up to 158/80, incredibly high for me as I am usually 120/70. On top of that I cant donate blood because I went to Germany and got a tattoo in the last 6 months. The blood pressure really scares me and I think I should discontinue the EQ. Thoughts and advise please.

What were your hema globulin and himaticrit?
I know this is old news but I have a solution that works for me.
Everything was within normal range. What was your solution?
You've peaked my interest with your solution that works for you. Can you elaborate a bit more or happy to take it to PM? I'm UK based and here you can only donate blood trough one agency (NHS) and they strictly limit it to every 12 weeks so not ideal when running longer cycles with compounds like Bold.
EQ is a fantastic way to "supplement" a stack but when you start taking weekly dosages (for the average user) of 400+ running into high BP is almost unavoidable without added BP lowering meds.
High RBC is almost always going to happen but with lowered dosages and quick a visit to donate blood every couple months while on (some stay on for up to 16weeks) one can utilize the benefits with less risk.
I love EQ and how it effects positively on my body but I certainly "respect" the negative aspects it will have if I get a little carried away on dosage.
All the various chems one can use need to be used with caution if we desire lasting through the Iron Game through to the Iron Maintenance phases of our life.
I've fallen into the "more is better trap" a couple of times but thankfully with decades of experience I am able to quickly decipher what I am using at the time that is causing issues of concern and backing off or removing from the mix to stabilize.
There is nothing better than walking around as the "Jacked Pappa" at family reunions/events but at some point, if you are no longer competing or desiring to, we need to look at the long term goals and work backwards from there.
We will find that longevity is in the hands of those WISE enough to realize "less is more" when it comes to the chems and making the rest up on nutritional additions and a workout program designed for our specific goals!
God Bless and be safe guys.
I agree, EQ can be an amazing addition once dosage is dialed in. Personally, I feel I get the hardness, strength, and vascularity I would with tren, but I can sleep and it takes 6 weeks to really notice it kick in. At 5'8" and anywhere between 205 and 215lbs with 10% or less BF, 700mg per week is bliss for a 16 week run. I'm 44 and have horrible BP issues with tren now, so EQ has become a staple. As soon as I bump it over 700mg I get the BP problems though.
On a side note, I have successfully used the blood donation method to bring it back under control quickly.
@exoticnfit....extremely well put bro
Just sharing what I know brother!
Been at the game a long time and we ALL need to keep up to date on how to stay healthy.
Blessings.
I agree 100%. I am at the point where I dont take anything that adversely affects me. I am running Primo and test right now and feel great. I may just stick with test after this though. All us old guys need to be looking ahead at the long road in front of us.
50...old? Nope. Get to 60+ then you can talk about old....and EQ is the duck's nuts - just run some Losartin for the BP.
Why not just take less eq?
I just felt at 50 yrs old that I was better safe than sorry.
Been running bold cyp for about 2 months now and bloods showed elevated RBC. Was experiencing fatigue and headaches. Donated blood and feel much better. From now on anytime I run any boldenone I will donate monthly.
You and I are in the exact same boat. The only difference was the compound that did me in was Masteron. I dropped that, donated blood and started on the baby asprin (probably not a bad thing to do at our age anyway). It has slowly come down (RBC and BP) but that was a scare I didn't need. I thought I had done all of my research, but just goes to show you, when you think you know enough, you don't.
"When you think you know enough, you don't." Well said, brother. +1
I took all of my EQ and threw it in the trash which was the best place for it. At first the docs thought I had cancer, however, all the arrows pointed to EQ which is where my fellow Eroidian brother pointed me in the first place. The cancer clinic decided to keep me on board in order to get my jacked up blood squared around. Flipping BP and blood counts were through the roof in six weeks and I'm one of those guys that has his blood tested every 4-8 weeks.
I live at a high elevation which makes EQ even harder to manage (so I learned the hard way). Now I cruise (and cycle) simply with Test, Masteron and HGH. I'm over 50 and very healthy.
If you're running EQ be extra careful, I could not be the only one that has problems with the compound. Elevated hemo and high BP can easily lead a guy to stroke out.

I threw mine out too, not worth it to me. My BP has always been on the lower side so numbers like I had really scared me. A couple weeks later I was all good. Just sticking with a cycle of test right now but I am going to investigate some Primo. Glad you are better and feeling good.
Hey Big Jo,
Let me know what you think of the Primo, It's on my list of compounds. I bought some a while back and the PIP was like Muta's old high octane Prop so I gave it to a friend. It's my understanding that manufactures can produce it with different suspension oils that reduce the massive kick.

Update: After 2 weeks off the EQ my blood pressure was 131/71 yesterday. A little elevated for me nut it has been around there since I started TRT. Unfortunately the strength gains I was starting to see from the EQ are now being lost.
I'd rather be "weaker" with a good blood pressure (aka-less stress on my heart) than "stronger" and putting my heart at risk. You are making a very, very, very smart decision to lay off the EQ for now.
For where you're at in life with your age and experience, brother, this is a marathon, not a sprint.
Regardless of AAS, you already know that it's all about diet and training. Eat clean, lift smart, and do it over and over.
That's the only real ticket to the ever elusive "good health." But you know this.
Of course, there are other compounds you can research that may be able to help you recover from your training which may serve you better regarding heart health rather than equipose. Look into primobolan, for one. It's not "as strong" as EQ, but long term, it appears effective. Lots of older lads even cruise with their TRT dose and add 100mg-200mg weekly of primo.
Please understand, I'm not saying YOU SHOULD go and do this. I'm simply offering this nugget of info cuz it certainly is something worth researching. (I'm currently learning all I can about primobolan. I'm almost 40, and for my lifesytle, I think it's gonna be a good fit for me in the long term, but I'm cautious and moving slowly. One thing at a time for me, so no worries there.)
At any rate, keep lifting, keep being smart, don't be reckless, and keep your head up! You're already stronger and more experienced than 95% of the lifters out there. Just cuz you've hit a minor road block, doesn't mean your journey is over. The answer(s) are out there, brother.
Thank you brother. I agree completely about the marathon, Im really glad I caught it because I ran EQ over a year ago and may have had the same problem and didnt know. At 50 years old it has sunk in that Im not going to get much bigger or stronger but I can look better and be healthier than the majority of my peers. That will be my goal from now on, I have too much to live for. 50 seemed a lot older when I was 20. I will do some research on primo as my ego and vanity does like a little boost, just not at the expense of my health. My wish is that all these young guys here would pay more attention to all their vitals sign and blood test and not just the scale and how much their bench went up. Thank you again.
really enjoyed your posts here. Im a bg fan of EQ but on this last very long cycle have fallen prey to the fatigue and lethargy. My doses on this as well as anything else are super low I mean like 0.5 ml a week (125mg low) with a similar dose of test prop 100mg/ml thrown in and 2 iu of HGH a day. I find the slow and steady approach works well u can put on tremendous very lean mass gains on a 6 month cycle (in my case without any hardcore diet but cleanish 18 lbs of keepable gains) and an increase in comp and bf.
Like I say the real problem was after 4 months there was a noticeable fatigue and sluggishness.
I had blood pressure checks done at the end and surprisingly my BP was very low (the right side of healthy low) as it always is off cycle so who knows. After a cycle and 3 weeks of PCT I give blood and that always causes a strength loss
Your attitude is inspirational! +1 for giving a damn, as well as going slow & steady!
I also desire a better body. I lift anyways, and since I simply assume that I'm never gonna compete in anything like bodybuilding, etc, I see AAS as medicine. The proper dose can really help a body. Too much medicine can kill you or have terrible effects. With all things, there's use, misuse, and abuse.
There are a lot of fans of primobolan, and I'm becoming one of them. I'm still new to T, so I gotta go get some blood work done next month before I make any decisions.
There are also plenty of people who don't care for primobolan, but the arguments all lend credibility to why it appeals to me.
"It doesn't work fast enough." (aka-slow and steady wins, so I'm fine with not blowing up like a balloon right away.) "It's expensive." (I'm old and not worried about my finances at this point in my life, so that's not a detractor.) "It's often counterfeited." (This is where this incredible website comes rushing to the rescue.)
The fact that it has low sides (if any when used in low doses) is awesome. Even when using test, an AI is often needed. That, in and of itself, makes the price of a test blast that much higher. Primo is a one stop drug. Now all I need is experience so I just don't sound like a fan boy.
At any rate, again, good on you @Big JO for paying attention to your vitals. "Remember why you lift." It's about being the HEALTHIEST version of ourselves for those whom we love. Always. Cheers brother!
@zeusmarada. Nice positive post bro. Agree with it all. I have a similar attitude in life right now. AAS are medicines and im only gonna pay for the best. This site is incredible I wish I had found it 10 years ago
Hi BigJo,
What are the problems with elevated RBC if you don't mind my asking? And giving blood lowers it again, but do you need to explain your on steroids in case the blood is not good for transplants?
High RBC = thick blood. Thick blood = high BP. And, even though you have more oxygen in the blood, you'll feel winded and fatigued most of the time.
Giving blood allows your body to add more water, thinning out the blood, lowering BP and RBC.
They love blood with high RBC. It is very good for their needs. Doctors will even tell you to donate blood when you're RBC is high. You don't have to explain why you have a high RBC
They even have a process (takes longer) where they "harvest" more RBC and not the plasma.

Much obliged for your answer Gre3g, a friend who does blast and cruise (not TRT) doctor(he snapped a ligament and had surgery) told him that he has thick blood and is at risk of a heart attack or stroke and has him on blood thinning meds, I'll pass this onto him and already encouraged him to look at this site.
Regards
Last chance
@Greg, +1. GREAT share.
I have almost the same states but it was Mast that brought my blood pressure up. I donated blood to bring my RBC count down, drinking tons of water and discontinued the Mast and went back to my TRT dose of test. It is slowly going back down now, but it took 3 weeks or so. A lot of board members also suggested taking low dose asprin. It won't lower your blood pressure or RBC (that was what I was most concerned about) but does reduce the risk of clots and heart attack. Good luck brother.
Thanks, Im going to get the BP checked today. I cut out the EQ immediately but still running a higher dose of TestE. Im sure it will be fine but better safe that sorry.
I read on here that a member used to bleed out in the sink....how much longer u have to wait to donate? Best thing to do is get bloodwork asap....stop the boldenone and lower ur test dose...
Thats a new one, I think I will just break out my leaches and do it that way ha ha! I have to wait another six months to donate. As for now I am going to stop the EQ and lower my test dosage. I plan on getting bloodwork next week. This has never been an issue, could just be that Im getting older. Thank you for the input.
Leeches will work too...lol!! I know a surgeon who uses them to increase bloodflow and perfusion to skin grafts and reattached extremities after surgery....he doesnt leave them on long, either...i do believe they come from south america....
RustyhookerHows estro? Ai use? I see plenty water below, clear piss is hydrated.
Not sure on the estro right now, I was planning on having blood work done in two weeks. With EQ I run a 16 week cycle and wanted to do blood at week 8. Before bloods I wanted to donate blood and that is when they check my BP, it has never been that high ever.
Stop eq and monitor bp. If it won't go down then go back to cruise and take care of that by seeing your doc.
YES! Blood pressure is no joke and especially at your age (I'm not far behind).
Also, giving blood won't help your blood pressure much. I would stop the EQ, hydrate well and see how you are in a few weeks. I would also visit your doctor just to be sure.
Most people get elevated BP from just test, so you need to be on top of things, especially on TRT.
I do hydrate well with almost a gallon of water per day. I know my BP gets a little higher even on cruise but this seem way outside the norm. Can I just stop the EQ or taper it some?
It's a long ester, so you can just stop it.
My BP is elevated due to my TRT and genetics. I went to my doctor and he put me on a low dose BP meds and I'm great now.
I tried every "natural" remedy to lower my BP, but nothing worked, so I visited my doc. I'm glad I did.
Thank you for the help.
@vhman, great share. +1
