WHEN TO USE AN EXCLAMATION MARK/POINT!

I really can't stand reading an email from a source riddled with exclamation points where they are not even meant to be put.Another thing is 'before u order' instructions that read out like a threat and just put you off placing a order.Just stop using exclamation marks if u don't know how to use them please!

But seriously they are mostly used when quoting someone else ? I dont think I've ever used one in that fashion.
I think the motivation for the souces using exclamation points is the customers who cant follow directions. So the source has to end up yelling, which is done by exclamation point ,isnt it ?
