My new year's resolution is to read the bible every day! To help me keep my resolve I have moved my bible to the bathroom, every morning I am going to take a Holy Shit!

My new years resolution is to not make any resolutions.
And work on my abs a little more.
And put 3.90 gears in my car.
And a new transmission/torque convertor.
And finish painting it.
And try to be nicer to people.
Same here, get my 64 Chevy II under paint and put final restoration on my papaws fatmall/international cub tractor. And to just leave a little along the way for the youth, not much more i can ask for

I swapped a motor while it was snowing in my Camaro way back when, did cam change and new heads in a trans am outside freezing with a blow heater pointed at me too. BUT that was when I was younger and didn't give a shit. I have two C5 vettes right now, one is a plaything and the other is a Z06. The plaything is getting gears, new tranny, new tcc, 1sc Supercharger and once I blow the motor I want to do a beefed LS6. The Z06 is bone stock except full exhaust, texas speed 1 3/4 headers into a 3" xpipe into SLP Loudmouth catback.

I'm staying with a stage 2 4L60E with a 3400 stall. The 3.90 gears is so when I stop being lazy and put the supercharger on I wont be going through tires every week and I can hit the highway. At 4.11 I would be at 2500RPM at 70. I live where there is an over abundance of newer rustangs and I pink slip race, hoping to have a few of them fords to sell this year hehe.
AnonAre you an F body guy? I had a 02 WS6 with a 402 stroker about 10 years ago and currently trying to get my ol lady let me tinker with her SS. My favorite vehicle ive had yet was my 86 S-10 that i put a 400 small small block in when I was 17 and out down a few lightenings with it in my 20s.
Ahh the good ol f bodies, I had a few. Currently have 2 C5's. I do miss the days of being able to turn a wrench, now you turn a wrench then tune a computer.
My 2 favorite cars I owned were a 69 vette with the all aluminum 427, and my 72 camaro SS. Your 02 had an LS1, those are long lasting motors. Im debating an LS3 swap for one of my vettes but its quite a bit of work and it would be cheaper to just buy a C6 outright

When i was a cigarette smoker many moons ago, each Jan Id resolve to give up.... fail within the month or weeks or days.... and ultimately end up feeling sh1tty whilst solidifying the bad habit. NYs resolutions can be the bad habit sometimes.
Setting goals for the year ahead is great though, if you can set realistic ones, go for it and then look back later to assess!
On my hitlist this year is stepping up my mindfullness game, a career goal, investigating my metabolism/thyroid and mainly; becoming a better dad via listening / tuning in to the kids more to improve the emotional support i can give them.
AnonNot sure if it's a resolution or just a goal but buying a house is my main "thing" for 2018. Only bad habits I have is chewing Copenhagen and cycling steriods, I would say getting off steroids for good will be in the very near future and Copenhagen will be never.
I quit Copenhagen for some grizzlie extra long cut. Does that count?

I don’t believe in New Year’s resolutions or any of that bullshit. If I want to change something about myself on my lifestyle that I set a goal and I complete it. I’m not going to wait till certain time of the year to do it. That sounds like a way to set yourself up for failure. Which is why most resolutions never succeed.
It’s just a good time to reflect on what you want to accomplish. A wise man always plans for the future.
Every day I wake up is a good day to reflect on what I want in life, which is why I plain every day. Not wait months to start something.
