What do you guys add to your shake?
ad
How's it going guys I recently read the post from Viking on the shake he recommends to add calories and I have to say it really works thanks again man.
Now I would like to know what are some of the things you guys add to your shakes to either increase calories or make them taste better. Of course meals are most important but the shakes definitely help to increase those calories.
I am taking the shake I mentioned above and I add coconut oil which adds 250 calories I know the fat might be a little high but I'm trying to put on size damn it! Lol. I know the combination can be endless but I would like to see what you monsters throw on yours thanks again.

Raw oats,pb,olive oil, whey protein, orange juice and whole milk.
Nitti droppin' that real shit!
Fries and a double cheeseburger normally.
High in saturated fats! That's a good start. I know you're kidding but I'm not! You've all been conditioned to steer clear of saturated fats. I think they want us to stay dumb. If we start actually feeding our brains the right way we might think more clearly and say things like "wait a minute, they are doing what?" Instead of watching American idol with a bag of Doritos. Foods high in saturated fats (medium chained natural fats, not the shit produced by processed corn based foods)
allow you to use your preexisting intelligence to it's full capacity.
So Nitti, are you saying saturated fats are beneficial? I mean, med chained natural fats, not processed foods.
I'm asking as I also think we are told things that we set in stone that really aint always completely true. Its the same with eggs. We told that the yellows are bad and we should remove them but they have the natural healthy fats so......
Basically, there is a general consensus that we are to stay away from saturated fats. That has been ingrained in us over generations. It is supposedly the cause of us being fat lazy fucks (Americans). That is ridiculous. Absolute bullshit! All the processed garbage that is produced by corn or soy (both horrible for you) are the things that you need to stay away from. You know that 98% of the corn produced in america last year was contaminated with this crazy X-men mutant strain of mold that fucks our bodies up? The years prior it was in the high 80's% and in that general vicinity for the last decade. It passes FDA inspection because they allow a certain amount of contaminants to be present in our corn or soy. Actually most anything produced in the USA is that way. But we are so hung up on "organic this, organic that" that we miss the fucking real issues. Fuck organic food! And even worse are friggen Vegans! Wtf are you a vegan for if you aren't a hindu hare krishna? I mean wtf? If you all mighty intended us to be friggen herbivores he wouldn't make beef taste so good to us. And why do I have incisors? My muthafuckin fangs are like vampires! Why? To cut through meat! So unless you are going for the cover photo of "Ohh so weak magazine" , you should be eating something that used to have a face. Another issue with that however is the way our meats are processed (hence the "GRASS FED BUTTER" COMMENT ABOVE). Grass fed meat is superior in taste and quality to your supermarket beef that sits hangf drying for 40+ days (yeah 40 days) before they package it. Another one that gets me fired up is "salt" will make you fat! WHAT?? ITS A FUCKING MINERAL YOU FUCKING IDIOTS! It isnt making you fat. It is essential for proper bodily function and when you cut it out of your diet you are starving your body of essential sodium. Your adrenal glands work so hard to produce it at a high rate because your dumb ass isn't feeding it so now when your sodium/potassium ratio balances out, your adrenal gland is so depleted and exhausted that you lose it function for most of the day! The ONLY reason they tell you to stay away from salt if you're fat is because you also have high blood pressure. Do you have all that fat on your ass because you eat salt? NO! 50 years ago they figured out that if you cut salt out of your diet your blood pressure drops. But why? BECAUSE YOU AREN'T RETAINING ANY WATER AT ALL AND YOUR BLOOD IS TURNING INTO SYRUP!! HOW THE FUCK IS THAT HEALTHY?? And when your blood thickens, your heart rate slows, your pressure slows or decreases. But what the fuck! Really? Is that the way to do it? How about you dont eat that 6th fucking donut you fat fuck! Don't dump 7 spoonfuls of sugar in that coffee. Fuck! Now i'm fired up.! I have to make a post.
I totally agree with you on this one Nitti. A interesting post. A interesting post with quite a few FUCKS thrown in. lol
Great read.
stunnerhrCrazy how misinformed most people are, they tell you things based on what they have read on some crappy magazine. Thanks Nitti.
Damn Nit you went ham on this thread. Nitti for president. Nitti's dropping knoweledge. Now tell that Vegan stuff to my wife, I've been trying to get her to eat chicken for years. ; p
RustyhookerWould love seeing a good post on necessary fats.
Yes, thats what i'm saying
Your right Nitti, I was only joking. I do however sometimes add a scoop or two of low fat coconut milk ice cream. It tastes great and adds some quality calories.
bigwillypenut butter !!
Cooked oats, milk, spinach, berries, pb, greek yogurt or cottage cheese.. that with some whey is way better than any steroid you could take pre work out.. oh I take cinnamon with it... cant stand cinnamon in the shake so I just bought tabs of it.
RustyhookerCoffee and chocolate whey. Add in cooked oats and blender. Yogurt in if i have it.
stunnerhrI see a lot of you add coffee can't believe I never tried this.
Coffee. I don't know why I never thought of that. I do a chocolate whey with plain yogurt and a tiny bit of almond extract. I think I'll go mocha later tonight.
RustyhookerThe mocha give a nice lil zing preworkout. I try to avoid the high sugar turbo drinks. They stick to my belly.
It won't add calories, maybe a little protein but that isn't the real benefit. Find grass fed unsalted butter. Kerri gold is the one I use. But drop a few table spoons of that in your shakes. The medium chain saturated fats from grass fed cows are like steroids for cognitive function. That's brain power for you kids who may not know. Extreme mental focus and alertness. No speeding or jolts like energy drinks. Just clarity. No crazy urges for heavy starchy carbs throughout the day. Try it for a week.
stunnerhrThanks I'm definitely going to try this I knew saturated fats were beneficial but never realized the full extent of their benefits.
Now when i write shit like this no one listens...i need to get a penis!
CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid) to be exact..it acts like a fat burner but only from products from grass fed cows like you said...also coconut oil has the same affect...Thank you for posting this.
Coconut oil is good to cook with. It does have the same effect on the prefrontal cortex, however , you can't dump loads of the stuff in your food or shakes. You can however find MCT oil or C-8MCT which is a highly concentrated and refined coconut oil that you would add a teaspoon or two to your shakes. It is 18x stronger (in the cognitive function dept) than coconut oil. Also, using straight up coconut oil can be hazardous to your health and social life. It's a natural laxative. Just sayin. Stick to unsalted grass fed butter for the shakes kids. And I'll make a post about the foods that promote healthy brain function. Most of you walk around feeling like shit and you don't even know it.
Wow sir thank u for your knowledge can u get grass feed butter at most chain grocery stores wanna try this out
Wow very impressive there more to u than meets the eye so does that make u a transformer
As long as im not a transvestite im good lol
Wow okay glad your not one of those to lol
Giving this a try
BRO FIST................ Nice to have you back :)))
Yeah buddy!!! All this friggen snow and ice in my hood has me stuck in doors with nothing to do but come online. Can only spank it so much before that gets boring.
RustyhookerThanks boss! Gonna try this!
No shit, I got some in the fridge, not that brand, but I'll have to try it out
Milk(Lactaid cuzz im lacto intolerant)Weight gainer. Peanut butter, cottage cheese(1 cup) 1 frozen banana & strawberries if i have some.
A friend of mines even put whole eggs & a can of tuna but fuck it taste weird as hell
I use a weight gainer thats about 600 cals a scoop and 25g protein, I drink it with whole milk and sometimes add 1 cup of chocolate chips or 1tsp of PB.
I use milk over water in all my shakes. Typically, it's just a protein blast and energy replacement shake post workout. That usually consists of 1-2 scoops if whey, 1 cup milk, and 1-2 tbsp of honey. If I'm bulking and looking for more calories, I'll add peanut butter, swap the 2% for whole milk, and toss in some yogurt.
stunnerhrI would always use water post workout but I think I'll start using milk like you see how that goes.
Not only does it taste better with milk, but the milk adds nutrients. Water adds virtually nothing.
stunnerhrThanks would the milk slow down absorption in any way post workout?
Compared to water, yes, bc it contains proteins and fats. But not significantly enough to offset the benefits or to even matter.
This is my shake; Chocolate flavored protein powder mixed with unsweetened vanilla almond milk, almond butter, small piece of banana, frozen blueberries & bananas & lots of cinnamon.
stunnerhrNever used cinnamon on it I'll try this out today to add some flavor thanks.
Not just flavor. Cinnamon helps increase sensitivity to insulin, meaning receptors respond better to insulin which makes cellular uptake of glucose more efficient for energy replacement.
Thats why i use the cinnamon..I'm also hypoglycemic..cinnamon helps to stabilize my blood sugar, especially after working out when it drops low
thats the reason i use cinnamon in the tuna/coke pro blast...... theres reasoning behind everything i choose to do lol
My mornings starts with a serving of oatmeal mixed with 40g graham cracker protein powder, creatine, glutamine powder, almond butter and tblsp of honey all mixed together. ....tastes awesome.
I workout at night so I do one scoop of chocolate hydrolyzed whey one scoop of cinnamon bun casein then I add in a whole banana 3 spoons of reduced fat peanut butter and 1/3 cup of steel cut oats mix with fat free milk and it really helps after leg day with the casein so I don't wake up starving and feeling dead
