+ 1 Weightlifting Shoes

ad

Lately I've been debating on getting myself a good pair of kicks specifically designed for weightlifting. The ones I've had my eye on right now are the Risto Series 2. Anybody rocking a pair of lifting shoes in the squat rack that can vouch for their efficacy? Anybody that wears them have any recommendations?

I don't understand do the shoes really make a difference? If so, how and in what way? I've worn lifting gloves before and still would if I could remember where I put them, but they helped with gripping, it was more comfortable and kept my hands in place, for shoes I just wear some top notch nike or Adidas running shoes or something like that, the most comfortable ones are those new high top Adidas that are featherlite those are the shit they support your ankle and everything if u tie them tight enough, yet it feels like your in your socks, there like $100 worth it imo, for basketball too

The raised heel gives your legs, knees, and hips the anatomically correct posture especially for Olympic movements and squats. The good quality ones (like the Risto) has a heel made of cured wood.

well if your just wearing causal shoes then the heal of the shoe is going to give in a lil. With lifting shoes I think they are made out of corks or something like that which gives you a hard surface to push off of. Is it easier to squat off concrete or a trampoline?

Hah, why the Crocs man? I've always worn high top chucks. My current pair are pretty worn out now. There's like holes all along the sides. Gotta start looking to replace them soon. Either with a new pair or drop the money on some lifting shoes.
