His body is in ketosis. It's not a big deal. A high protein low carb diet will do it quick. My last check up I wasn't even dieting and my body was in ketosis. The link to steroids is the dumbest thing I've ever heard!!! Where the hell did he go to medical school?
Man I really hate doctors. This same thing happened to me. My doc wanted to check my kidney functions so she had me do a blood urea nitrogen (bun) blood test and a protein/ creatine urine sample. The results came back high protein and creatine in urine and high bun results. I told her I am on a 300+ gram protein diet and I intake creatine as well, so it should not be a surprise that these were high. Now my doc is freaking out and I have to do a 24 hour urine sample and piss into a huge jug for a day. I made sure to cut the protein/ creatine a day prior to the piss test and levels were normal. Sometimes I wish docs would let us tell them about our bodies instead of acting like they know about the bodybuilding lifestyle. Oh yeah then she said it was probably because I'm dehydrated. I look at her dumbfounded and pointed to the gallon of water I brought with me to her office.
if he has a high bun and he isn't taking in a high protein diet it could be from not being hydrated. with proper hydration byproducts will be diluted in the urine and his levels should return to normal
If the doc is so worried about protein in his urin, why didn't he test the kid's blood glucose(sugar)?
This is crazy, most docs don't know shit about Roids usage/dosage. Feel bad for the kid thought, may be high Estro!
That's actually pretty accurate. At 15 he's jacking like a research monkey (couch potato or not) LOL
Protein in urine (proteinuria or microalbuminuria) is an abnormally high amount of protein found in a urine sample. A test to analyze the content of your urine (urinalysis) checks for several substances in your urine, including protein.
Your kidneys filter waste products from your blood while retaining components your body needs — including proteins. However, some diseases and conditions can allow proteins to pass through the filters of your kidneys, causing protein in urine.
Low levels of protein in urine are normal. Temporarily high levels of protein in urine aren't unusual either, particularly in younger people after exercise or during an illness. Protein in urine discovered on a microalbumin test may often be the earliest sign of diabetic kidney damage.

Go to that doctor and punch him in the face. So many doctors are completely ignorant when it comes to steroids. I guarantee there are plenty or people on this site that know more about the endocrine system than a general dr. I feel like I do, some fat slob of a dr. tried to lecture me once on steroid, turned out I knew way more than he did on the topic and I gave him a lecture and also said "look at me, look at you, who know more about diet, exercise, and hormones, stop trying to give advice"
