Functional Freeze.
About to flip this bullshit Freeze mode back into Greaze Mode. Degen to Regen, if you will.
Anyone fought their way out this and if so, what was your triggers? Inspiration? First step?
Wholesome responses or ridicule welcome as always my people…

It happens bro, sometimes you just need a change of pace. Maybe weights isn't the right fit for you at the moment, try joining an MMA gym or some kind of competition and then you'll have more direction towards a goal.
Don’t think just go and let your blood do the rest
I Honestly think a big reason for why a lot of guys lose the routine, drive and passion for training is because they do not have any access to any lifting equipment at home. If I had to get a gym bag ready, make protein shakes and intra workouts, drive to and from a gym each time I wanted to train then I'm not sure I'd keep it up as much. Once you begin to fall out of the routine of it and miss several sessions I'm sure its very easy to let the mindset go and let other things and priorities take presidence. Then you begin to feel depressed and down and simply do not want to go I imagine. There is also the hurdle of knowing that you have got out of shape, you have to then go back in a busy social place and feel self conscious about this because lets face it - we are all more than aware of how we look on here! If you are feeling down in the dumps and no longer conditioned then this I would of thought is extremely off putting - so you just avoid going and at the same time feel worse about yourself. I am not saying you have to train at home or have all the equipment of a fully kitted out BBing gym, but if you have the room for an adjustable free weight bench and a compact powerlifting rack/squat rack and a barbell then it is so damn easy to walk into the room you have it all in and get creative, and do Full body, effective workouts again. You can do this for a few weeks to feel confident and in shape again and then hit the gym for all the extra machines, cables, platforms, cardio machines you do not have access to at home. When you have equipment at home there is simply no excuse then not to spare an hour and train several times a week rather than having to commit to 2 or 3 hours every night driving to and from a gym
This shit just happened to me man. Here was my situation-- I worked my ass off all winter for the time it counted and than summer hit and BAM- vacations/lake days/nights out happened to frequently/bad foods- I went from 5-6 days a week hardcore training/cardio to MAYBE 3/4 days every two weeks. than would get back in there for a solid week and get all excited again than another weekend of fun would hit . a repeated cycle. Not only summer and good times but a few buddies told me cycling as long as I did played a big fact on just the mental downfall and wall I finally hit---
It took me loosing ALOT of progress physically and mentally to right now being at about 2-3 weeks back on diet/training- at this point I'm just mentally trying to not be so hard on myself but glancing back at before and after photos and kicking my own ass to keep it going.
good luck to you, this feeling REALLY messed with me man and to be back as little time as I have as of now has made me mentally feel AWESOME. go kick some ass brother!
That’s fucking huge man don’t let the fucker tare you back down. Keep them wheels moving.
Appreciate that VERY much brother!
Diet is the hard part for me, I enjoy going to the gym and getting out of the house. Plus I enjoy the eye candy, the views can be great at times. Getting to the gym can be taxing at times but once I’m there the push kicks in and endorphins start flowing.
What got you into the gym in the first place? Why did you stop? Best first step imo would be get your ass in the gym and suck it up for a week or two then cracking on from there should be easy. Was for me.
What got you into the gym in the first place?
Restless mind.
Why did you stop?
Honestly, Went on a 5year long tirade to kill the ego and explore inner Alchemy and the unseen world. Kinda got lost a long the way.
anvilWhat motivates you?
Create attainable goals
Find a schedule that is the least taxing on you, build on it
Look in the mirror and call yourself a fat lazy pile of crap that you are
Healthy habits are hard to build but easy to break. Just commit to 1-2 days in the gym at first until you learn to love it again. Then start adding days. Trying to instantly jump back in to a 6x/week hardcore lifestyle is a recipe for failure.
Appreciate you.
Look like your in top condition btw, excellent work. Reminded me of an old eroids legend, bit of pugilist he was lol.
Thanks but I would not call my habits healthy or sustainable lol. My wife says I’m crazy when trying to describe my dedication. Guess I’ve learned to channel my OCD towards diet and gym. Could be worse things I suppose.
Fuck you on about fella ? Not a clue what any of that gibberish means
Relative of Joe Biden.
just a joke fellas don't go all liberal bent hurt on me.
Liberal Bent Hurt on me
All sounds incredibly homo erotic for this time of day friend.
This post ain’t for you then brother.
What are you talking about? I'm confused lol.
Need to find my way back into the gym. Lost the mindset and motivation. Essentially.
You got this, man. If you really want it, then go get it!!!! I think most of us has been there. Get yo ass up and let’s do this!!!!!!!!
Been there, for me it was as simple as I just gotta go to the gym and DO SOMETHING. And when I went I didn't even care about a routine or what I was gonna work out and all that bullshit. I just went in and did what I want to do. Which was great because I did exercises I would usually never do. I tried things that I would never try.
Eventually (after a month or 2) I converted that new knowledge into a routine and got back on track. It made working out fun again.
