Smoker?

ad

Thought it might be useful to a few of the members of Eroids who smoke but would like to give up how I achieved this goal..

Electric cigarette! I've been wanting to stop for over a year now but everytime I did I'd end up starting again on a weekend. I'm completely off the cancer sticks now and have no craving for them. I'm still addicted to nicotine but at least it's only vapour and not smoke containing 100's of Poisonous chemicals I'm inhaling. It's cheaper (small starting price) and you get a choice of loads of flavours from tobbaco to bubble gum. I imagine most of you don't smoke (why would you) but hopefully this is useful for a few brothers! Best of luck.

i have been using the smoke free brand batteries with the cartomizers that come pre packaged... Are these junk compared to the kind where you mix your own liquid?

scoobydoo's picture

I think it depends on what kind of smoker you are.I use to smoke 2 packs a day of roll your own American Spirit organic tobacco. It was the strongest stuff you could get.I like the throat hit.It took me a few ecigs and juice combinations to get what I wanted. The prepacked ones can't produce the hit I like. The ecigs are different at first because of the vapor inhaled and can choke you a little bit.As you get used to it,it won't choke you anymore.Mine kicks pretty hard.I let a lady at work try it and she took a haul off it like I do.I was talking to someone else and next thing I know, she's tapping me pretty aggressively on the shoulder. She took such a big hit that it took her breath away and she couldn't breathe It was quite scary. She smokes over a pack a day.I have let other people try it since, but I limit their intake.

U got me laughin brother....lol...i think i wanna hit off of yours.....you doing 48 mg??? I started
hitting on my womans EC. Hers is 18mg. It gives me a headache sometimes. I quit in 2009. I have been on occasions doing cigars. Cigarettes are unappealing, now. But, this EC strawberries and cream is a new twisted sister in my path....gotta find some way to get off it.....probably replace it with Cohibas from Cuba....lol!!

scoobydoo's picture

Yeah,48mg.It does the trick. You can have a hit.Just hold on for the ride!LoL I use to mix up an orange creamsicle that was real tasty. You can get those flavors without any nicotine.

GrowMore's picture

It's all relative. But you save a great deal of money and there is less waste with liquid.

Glad i saw and read this post and thread....much appreciated....

You're welcome mate. Winning has an interesting thread on this also. Mines about a year old now.

Hey grow, are you still puffing on that e-cig?I've been using them for over 5 years.Haven't smoked a real cig in over 3 years.I could probably quit, but I enjoy nicotine.Besides, caffeine(coffee) and nicotine are natures laxative!LoL

GrowMore's picture

I am big dog! I've got an innokin cool fire 2 which is a great bit of kit. What are you using?

That's how give been keeping all the weight off these years ;). Nicotine and caffeine keep me going throughout the day.

I've just tired mountain dew vapour liquid and it's delicious. Any recommendations from you?

WINNING's picture

I like mountain dew, redbull, Jolly rancher menthol, peanut butter twist, nerds and Miami vice. I use vaporshark, I should quit eventually, god knows what's in that liquid. I've been off cigs for 14 months.

GrowMore's picture

Great work. I'll have too look into nerds.

I use a ego with a mega b low resistance atomizer.I like the upgrade batteries.Ego-t upgrade or ego-c upgrade. You can select a higher voltage with those batteries.4.2 volts,I think.I buy unflavored nic juice and I use to mix my own flavors. Now,I just smoke it unflavored.I just want the nicotine.LoL I buy it on my side of the pond.My woman uses one too.I buy 500ml of unflavored nic juice at 48mg.That's right,48mg!My woman still mixes flavors. The 500ml bottle costs a little under $40.I usually wait for a coupon from the company.Dude, that cool fire looks like a mini hooka! Some of those mods out there look like a cannon.

GrowMore's picture

Ego is an awesome bit of kit, I used one for a long time before I took the leap onto mods & clearomizers. The CF2 has variable wattage so I can can vape light in the mornings and vape heavier in the afternoons and evenings. 7 to 12.5 I believe.

Man 24mg?! What the hell?! You must get high off it. Do you use PG or VG?

MONK's picture

I'm sure I caught a dose of VG once before from a nasty bar maid round the back of the social club ;)

In a promo × 2
GrowMore's picture

You can't catch what you have already fella haha ;)

scoobydoo's picture

It's 48mg.I get a mix of 75% PG and 25% VG.

MedDx's picture

Hey bro...PG=propylene glycol???? VG=vegetable glycerine????? Thanks...

scoobydoo's picture

That's correct Med.

MedDx's picture

Thank u Sir....

GrowMore's picture

Typo, yes 48mg is bloody high but if it works it works! I had a reaction to PG so I stick to 100% VG

GrowMore's picture

Well done mate. No improvments in stamina? Or do you smoke the high stuff all day long?

White Bolt's picture

i quit smoking and started dipping, in my mind the lesser of the two evils

GrowMore's picture

It's a step in the right direction, like electric cigarettes were for me. Nicotine is one of the most addictive substances and it's certainly is a hard habbit to kick

T_luva's picture

yup, I smoked from 18 to 28.... then took me the next 5 years to quit altogether..... oh man, I still miss it Sitting at a redlight with the windows down and the bitch in the car next to me, lights up.... hmmmm the best aroma in the world. LoL

GrowMore's picture

Good will power!

Nitti's picture

Thats a great achievement. I wish you continued success with this. But you know that nicotine in any form is going to cause issues right? But the smoke was much much worse. Elevated bp (which nicotine itself will still cause) , constricted vessels , less oxygen in the blood. Oxygen is what carries the nutrients through the blood to the muscle. Smoking is extremely counter productive to what we are trying to achieve. Overall health and well being is the ultimate goal.

GrowMore's picture

Cheers mate, can't wait to reap the full health benefits. I only really know of nicotine causeing irritability and issues with sleep patterns but I'll do a search on it since you mentioned it and get informed.
