Rescue mission

ad

Three and a half years ago I just got out of prison and I was living at the rescue mission. I would go to my brothers everyday and take a shower at his house and look for a job. I had a pair of shoes with holes in them. One pair of pants and a shirt. My brothers gfs cousin was staying there and she liked me even though I was broke and homeless. She believed in me. I would walk there every morning just to cuddle with her before she went to work. I couldn’t believe this pretty girl likes me when I was broke. I got a job making very little money. I managed to get an apartment for me and her. Then found a better paying job. A year later I bought a used car. No more walking ten blocks to do laundry and my girl walking an hour I. The freezing cold to go to work. Fast forward to now and I just landed a new job making soooo much more money. Life changing money. Just bought a brand new SUV for our new baby being born. I just got approved for a new house too. I was living at the rescue mission three and a half years ago and now I’m going to be a homeowner when my lease is up in April. I almost cried today. I had help from family that loved me and this wonderful woman that believed in me. I didn’t let her down. I made it and made everybody that loves me proud. I made mistakes but I learned from them. When I went to prison I wanted to lift weights. This bodybuilder there showed me the ropes about training and nutrition. He changed my life. Wish I could find him to thank him. The gym helped save me in so many ways. It’s a part of my life now and will never leave me. I don’t mean to get sentimental but I worked really hard and it’s paying off. My parents are proud of me for the first time in years. I made all my money through hard work all legal. If any of you are just coming home anything is possible with hard work. I went into prison at 142 now I’m 198 lean. I set my goal and all this time later I achieved it. Everybody kept saying I will never be big. Well I proved them fuckers wrong. I feel so good about being able to take care of my family. I feel like a man. Healthy and fit. If anybody is going through something just keep working hard and have hope and faith and you can succeed. I’m so fucking happy right now.

Thanks everybody for the kind words. I love it that I can get stuff off my chest at this site. That’s what I love about people that lift weights. They are the most non judgmental and most positive people I know. That and dead heads. Ha!

Living the dream man, congratulations. I worked a short time as a prison guard and always tried to motivate the guys in my pod to better themselves and have a legit plan for when they got out, but so many ended up violating within weeks. So glad to see that you broke the chain and are now living the good life. You’re an inspiration.

good for you dude, especially on beating the revolving door on fucking prisons bro.

You started from the bottom and worked your way up physically , mentally and monetarily . That's a real mans mission , and you had a good woman to rise with you.
