People that come into work Sick....

ad

Tell me if I am right about my rant or whether i'm being a dick.

Once again i've come into work and my boss is sick. Today he's coughing and spluttering and I know he'll come over close to be to talk a few times today. I don't want anything to do with it....don't pass those germs to me. If you are sick go home and recover don't take me down with you.
My immune system is more fragile when im low carbing and cutting the last thing I need is to fall victim to this shit. It really makes my blood boil....go the fuck away from everyone if you are sick. Hes always so stubbon that he's going to be in work around everyone no matter what the situation, kind of like playing the hero.

In general at the moment I see work and a lot other people as an annoying distraction. If I could all I would do all day is eat, sleep and workout and smash females to pieces. Im working 9-6 and I want to be at the gym not slouched in front of a work PC having my energy sapped and to make it worse I now suffer the chance of getting ill because of the dude in front of me...

Angry.

Stress is also bad for the immune system. I get sick sometimes when I am stressing about something. I know you want to limit your exposure to diseases, but stressing about it, if you are doing that, I hope not, but if you are, it will not help. You can protect yourself by using vitamins to boost your immune system while cutting, since you wont be getting the vitamin C from eating those sugary oranges or others that help. This is just a weird fact for the hippy health nut types or survivalists. You can get your vit. C by drinking pine tea, pine needles soaked in hot water. It will prevent Scurvy if you are stuck out in the middle of nowhere.

lol buddy at work randomly sends me this on google talk...he's infecting the water supply...we're doomed.

Tristan: i want to go and get a drink of water but J just used it with his flemmy finger
Me: yeah...its not great is it..spluttering all over the place down this end
Tristan: he looks really sick
Me: he doesnt ever listen to nutrition advice on what to take either, too stubborn/know it all so hes always ill
Tristan: i dont care about what he eats or drinks. i just dont want a diseased person near me

This is funny and kind of ironic. I'm sick as a dog today with the flu, but came into work. I was thinking that I am a bastard for exposing my co workers to this plague. Lol. I wonder if you work for me? You better not, or your ass is fired! Smile

I'm with you Noviceaas.. never can take off unless there is no way I can come in my company seems to never get as much done unless I'm there to delegate!!! never the less I had the flu last week and did not go in to spread the love..... The flu is the only reason I will not go in...

This guy isn't the boss of the entire company and he does not pay my wages so that doesn't really work. He's simply more senior than me on a similar team due to his time here. How is it productive to make everyone else sick when you can simply take a few days off and that be the end of it? As a result there is now two other people in here today walking around yacking and coughing( thankfully not me yet). Whether he started it I don't know, maybe it was them first, but productivity goes down when you are sick so why have the whole place in a confined area be sick? hell, work from home. As a result i've already picked up extra work load and now stand to get ill too, yay.

I am man, but how can I stop him breathing across on to me? I just generally dont want to get sick. Ate my food in the other room. You really think I should bust out a face mask?

Cocky75's picture

Actually he should be forced (or have the decency) to wear a face mask. This is what people from most Asian countries do when they are sick. They also do not practice the shaking of hands that we do in the US. I have never understood the need to shake the hand of people, a slight bow is fine by me. I am a manager and if I am sick and feel the need to come to work I put a sign on my door, have hand sanitizer on my desk and do as much phone communication as possible. People may drag into work but their production suffers if they feel like crap. But it would be funny to put on a face mask the next time it happens and tell the guy that you would rather not catch what he has. I would wear that shit around the plant.

Fair replies, I wouldn't mind as much if he did call in sick or have some days off...but he doens't. he is ALWAYS in regardless of how shit it is and doesn't even cover his mouth when he coughs, just blurts it across the room. Is there anything I can take which will help me fight off HIS germs to make sure I don't get taken out of the game? lol

Thanks dude, I take Orange Triad multi-vit plus also an added dose of 1,000mg vit C - Zinc this morning.

The guy next to me just busted out this thing called " First Defence" apparently he uses it on flights to avoid peoples germs, he's had a couple of shots when he's seen this guy.

if sick days are unpayed than you cant blame the guy, bills are bills, I have a tonne of sick time banked, I always call in sick if I feel Id be getting other sick as well and yet I feel guilty any time I call in sick, but there is always the brown noseing hero.

Yeah i think you just been a BIG DICK brah..... Lmao

This shit happens all the time, unfortunatelly there is nothing we can do about it, people has shit to pay just like everyone else so they have to go work to bring food to the table even when they r sick, so with that been said, next time u can be the one sick and passing germs around. I would say this, if u can not control the situation, dont even worry about it, just go with flow. Low carb diets are a bitch anyway and u dont wanna lose ur cool u know...
