Organ donation

ad

The laws on organ donation are possibly/going to change over here in the UK, meaning that you have to opt out of organ donation rather than opting in as we have previous done. I wanted to hear people’s opinions not just from the uk but all my juicy friends around eroids.

I donate blood and I am all for helping where possible but for whatever reason in my head donating my organs doesn’t sit well with me. We’ve all read about the man who received a heart transplant and hunted down a mysterious woman for an unknown reason, who then ended up being the wife of the donor who he fell in love with or even worse the woman who had never tried a mars bar but craved them constantly after a kidney transplant and you guessed it, mr donor loved a mars bar.

There’s some mumbo jumbo there and I can’t shake that feeling it could have a bigger effect than just passing my love of reese's butter cups and injectable superdrol onto the unknowing organ recipient.

Something else I can’t shake is throwing away something which could dramatically change the life of a family for the better:

There are currently around 6,000 people on the UK Transplant Waiting List. Last year over 400 people died while waiting for a transplant.

If one of my children needed a transplant and were lucky enough to receive one I’m sure that would change my mind.

My thoughts exactly, children change everything including your mind set. If it’ll help a family in need and mean a child/children get their parent for a little longer it’s worth it.

The more I think about it the more I want to be a donor.

After watching Tyson Fury beat the fuck out of Wilder, lick blood off his neck and then sing
“American Pie” I’ve decided not to comment on a Brits thread on body parts...

I can’t wait for the 3rd instalment of Tyson slapping him around the place. Wilder is a brave man.

Only chance he has is a lucky right hand.
Fury’s just to skilled. Box, punch, defense.
The guy doesn’t gas either.
Never seen a guy that big that is that athletic.
Sings pretty good to...

Who do you think will win between him and Joshua?

GrowMore's picture

There’s a reason Joshua is avoiding fighting both Wilder and Tyson. Very much like Lennox avoided fighting Mike Tyson, he’s scared and it wouldn’t be in his best interests in fighting either of them in their prime.

Joshua will wait a few years for Tyson to age/get take on the drink and drugs and then it’ll be all fighting talk. He got TKO’ed 7th round my Ruiz, now no credit away from Ruiz but you think that would have happened to Tyson, not a chance. Joshua is a great fighter but Tyson is on a different level, in my opinion he’s the best heavy weight boxer to ever live.

Aah so it's Joshua who is avoiding the fight is it?

Did you happen to watch this the other night? I'm amazed she could still stand up at the end of that with all the pressure build up in her head! That just looks brutal

Both Wilder and Tyson have called him out on numerous occasions but Joshua stays quiet. He’s a great fighter but he would loose a lot of credibility early on if he lost such a big fight and in doing so money also. He’s doing the smart thing and picking fights he can win to build his career up and keep up his good reputation.

I thought it was fake, pure savage.

I had my first lesson in Muay Tai/MMA a few nights ago and Damn I have a new level of respect for those guys now. I think you do some of that too don't you? Training weights is just completely different to doing that. No way could you do it on Tren, I was gassed out after 5 minutes on just test & Deca Lol Had us doing some of the basic UFC groundwork moves too and man my hams and glutes are just so inflexible from training. Had us shrimping and doing leg holds etc. After only an hour I walked out of the gym feeling dead!

It’s another level of exhausting, I wasn’t build for the quick and agile movements either, they hurt in ways that lifting alone couldn’t do. Are you going to train for the experience/fun or will it lead to a fight? I’ve trained and had a fight but I didn’t carry on training at the boxing club as I had other priorities. There’s a MMA competition local to me which I’ve been threatening to enter for a while. I need to start back training as I would love to have another fight and something to work towards.

I've just really wanted to do martial arts for a long time but in all honesty never had the balls to turn up as I thought the first few sessions would consist of getting stared down by the other guys and getting my arse kicked Lol But of course its totally different to that in reality - everyone is really friendly and respects the hell out of the owner/head coach so wouldn't dare step a foot wrong in there. God no, I'd be a year at least off a fight I think. I just want to do it as an addition to lifting once or twice a week to be able to fight well - plus I think it looks so cool when you see someone take up the stance in the street when they get picked on and the other guys arse goes Lol Although training can give you a hard punch it doesn't actually teach you how to fight does it.

It’s the same as a BB/powerlifting gym, daunting at first but in my experience everyone is super friendly. Once you have the confidence or somewhat of a base you should look at doing a white collar mma fight local to you, it’s for people who have no previous fighting exp so usually it’s more of a fair fight.

From a professionals point of view I’ve heard many time’s that’s a lot of what wilder brings to a fight. Although I’ve only seen a handful of his fights he seems like a true athlete who doesn’t waste punches.

Yeah Tyson’s an animal but also an inspiration for many men who suffer with mental health issues.

Me and a coworker were talking about this last week.
I support it, he’s a cynic though and was concerned that it could lead to purposely letting people die to harvest organs.

I hear that argument also, I don’t how it’ll go in the uk as I’m sure there won’t be a link to doctors being able to control who gets the organ which should stop any kind of behaviour like that happening.
