NO sig required but didn't leave package

I got a post card in the mail saying I could pick up my item at post office but the item does not require a sig.
This is what it says when I track through USPS:
We attempted to deliver your item at 9:56 am on August 04, 2011 in ADDRESS WAS HERE and a notice was left. You may arrange redelivery by visiting www.usps.com/redelivery or calling 800-ASK-USPS, or may pick up the item at the Post Office indicated on the notice. If this item is unclaimed after 30 days then it will be returned to the sender. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later.
DO you guys think it is safe to pick up?

do you live in a apartment complex or something? most likely thats why they didnt deliver cause of the safety issue of it being stolen. when i got my first pack on here i delivered it to my friends place and he wasn't there to get it. he lives in an apartment complex so they left the note to come get it. Wellll problem is he lives about an hour away from me lol so i had to drive down to his town's post office and pick it up cause it had my name on it so I could do that. I also was paranoid and was driving up and down to make sure it wasn't a set up. The problem tho? there were TONS of cops out that day for some reason so it didn't make it any easier on me lol but at the end of the day all was good bro dont worry about it. It takes alot of time, planning and resources for these guys to suit up and boot up to come get you for a few vials. If you ordered a super huge order tho....go in there with an SK on your back so you can atleast go out with some dignity!!! (disregard the last sentence. it was a joke)
I think they do this when the sender has paid for "proof of delivery" but not necessarily signature required. Got this notice for some meds I ordered recently and filled out the on-line redelivery form. They never redelivered and I'm not going to the post office for it. Fucking USPS.
I understand, but the last time i got order from this supplier they just left it in mailbox, this time they didn't. I went on web and just have it redelivered for tomm. We shall see. If they are trying to sting me for this little bit of shit, then I guess its my day. It went through customs etc just as quick as last time. No delay.
If it went thru customs quick- like in less than a few days, then it hasn't been opened and you can go to the PO and get it. I would not count on the redelivery to actually happen if you filled out that on-line form.

...and the reason I'm not going to the post office to get my mug on camera receiving it is that the package was in us customs longer than 2 weeks giving it a high probability that at best the contents were confiscated.

Thanks my man. I thought it would be ok. I just had it redelivered for tomorrow. So, hopefully they will just drop it off this time. We shall see.
I went through this with a big order, I circled the lot all paranoid before going in but your g2g. They may or may not make you sign. I didnt have to when it happened to me.
