Need help!!! Kinda lost and need advice

ad

Gonna start with sayng that there are way worst things that can happen in life, but don't know what to do, I work as a waiter in an Italian restaurant probably the only Italian bodybuilding waiter in the nation, aniway owner is old Italian guy about 68 that is addicted to wine, coke and prostitus, yesterday was all crazy called me an idiot at a the fucking table, man wanted to end is life right there so anyways we fight and at the end of the night he talls that Saturday is my last night, ok so the thing I was getting ready for a big show on July 12 national qualifier, know I'm kinda lost do I power trough? Or do I regroup and wait till next show, the only is this there's gonna be a big as expo and all supps company are there scout watching, also did same show last year got 2nd, man this time at the point I'm at already I know I gotta chance to get that 1 st, but all this shit is stressing me out and kind of fucking with my mind, tommorow morning gonna look for new job other issue is man I'm sick of resturant I don't belong in that environment, is it worth beeng a personal trainer? Can u live of it good? Man I don't know I didn't kill the old man after all the fat burners the androgenic steroids gh and antiaromatase don't know how I didn't kill I'm, really think I have the patience of a Jedi , so question is would u continue prep for show while looking for a new job? These guys gave you stellar advice. Do the show. As for work, that's up to you. Most of the personal trainers in my gym look like shit, and train people who also look like shit. I'm sure it is different everywhere. But if I wanted to hire one I would look for someone who looks like you. I had a PT in cali years ago I paid her $50 an hour but I also only saw her a few times a week.

The advice below is good, a cop or highway patrolman might be an option. My husband is a firefighter, those jobs are really hard to get so I wouldn't advise that route. The military could be perfect, but you will lose a shit ton of weight in basic training. Sit down and think of something you might enjoy doing, then figure out how.

Guys advice u gave was fuckin golden......

lots of good advice in here...good luck bro i am in the service industry myself

General gym staff don't get well paid but personal trainers do make good money. Location has a lot to do with how much you can make as a PT as well, living in a large city is definitely a plus.
It's a decent career, and being in your shape will also be a plus, people feel like their getting special service if their trainer compete's, you know when they tell their mates they've hired a PT the next sentence is going to be that your a competing BB.

Anyway bro, it all comes down to cash at hand regarding how to approach the show, if you can still survive and do as you you want then 100% do it.
I hope all works out, I'm sure in time when you look back you'll be wondering what all the fuss was about.

Power through, this could be your chance for recognition. Fck that job you could and should do waaay better! Being a trainer is cool if you have your own clients and are not tied down to any gym. Example: being able to train YOUR different clients at different locations 50.00 hr. Working for say, La Fitness as a trainer 10-12 dollars per hour! Bro, power through and go win that shit, get your sponsorship and say fck that old life. Godspeed

Props on keeping your composure man! As far as your job, maybe you could qualify for unemployment in the time being if you were fired/laid off through no fault of your own.

As others have said, look into a career. You'd make for a badass cop, fireman, military, he'll even a stripper in the mean time like Carlos said Lol.

But in all seriousness your life is more important than a bodybuilding meet. Better to have your rent paid and food on your table then getting a trophy and some recognition. But as you said there will be scouts there and you may possibly get sponsored. Either way, I wish you the best and I hope everything works out for you bro.

Man I was wondering about cop, actually now a guy in swat team, this guy told me straight up with my body they'll get right away, also gonna look in to it, thanks for the help bro....

I think what it really comes down to is money. Are you gonn have to choose between buying gear or paying your bills? If you already have all your gear and shit I see no reason no to compete. Either way your gonna have to find a way to mKe some money for other things. But like I said if it's gonna come down to paying your bills with what you have saved or buying gear then obviously pay the bills and forget about the show for now. And I think you can have make a pretty decent living as a personal trainer. Your physique speaks for itself. It might take a bit to build up a solid clientele basis but I think it's a much more fullfilling career. I would definitely try to transition over into the fitness industry. And you can also train and prep people for shows. Can definitely make a good living between being a prep coach and a personal trainer. And then you get to live in the gym. Sounds like a dream come true to me lol.

italian92101's picture

Got all my gear and support and shit and should make with rent after saturday, but shit gotta try and find something before saturday, tommorow is gonna be a power morning in super serch, and after show I'm on my personal trainer carrier , gonna after get balls out and tradition, gotta do it man

irongame427's picture

Then I don't see why you shouldn't compete. Either way your gonna be doing the same thing and that's looking for a job. And idk Maybe when your just starting out as a trainer you could still bar tend on Fridays and Saturdays to have that extra money until you build up a solid number of clients. But once you get yourself established between training and doing preps you will make great money. Then you can work normal hours like 8- 5 and have the rest of the night to do what you want cause I assume you come in at like 6 and work till midnight or so as a waiter. I would much rather work normal hours. Maybe this isn't so bad bro, everythingg happens for a reason. I would look at it as a positive and it's the time for you to transition into a career instead of just a job.

italian92101's picture

Man last words were eye opening need a fuckin carrier not a job, totally right, gonna after dive in, and put myself out there...

irongame427's picture

You can do it bro, no doubt in my mind. Put the same drive and effort that you do into your physique into making this happen.

Gymjunkie01's picture

Man if you got experience and are a good waiter its hard to get turned down at a restaurant. I got fired about 6 weeks out from a show for some stupid shit and an old manager found out and called me up and said come work for him at the beach. Welll it was a blessing in disguise I make bank now bartending and all cause he knew I was a hard worker. So don't sweat it bro youll find something!

birdbear27's picture

Absolutely power through! Stressing does absolutely nothing positive for you brother. Training can be a fantastic job if you have the drive to make it work.. That's what I do and I make upwards of 5k a month. Its a struggle at the start but its all up to you how much you make bro. Don't ever close yourself off to potential big opportunities either. No matter how tough shit gets you don't wanna bail on somethung and forever think to yourself "fuck, what if?". Especially something you've BUSTED YOUR ASS for. Act like nothing ever happened and look at this whole situation as a kick in the ass toward something much much better.

italian92101's picture

For sure man something positive gonna come out, gonna do that fucking show, and man 5 k a mont is really good bro, I'm gonna seriously gonna look in to it, gonna frien request wanna know how to get started ok?

birdbear27's picture

Hell yeah fire away brother.

BostonGeorge's picture

There's no doubt in my mind you push through and do the comp. No offense brother but fuck the service industry. You have a killer build bro, you definitely have a shot at first like you said. If I was you, the only thing on my mind would be trying to make money off my body...competitions, supp companies, modeling, training(yes your build will bring you clients), stripping, etc. Milk that shit up while you can brother...not everyone has fucking tree trunks for legs like you, you might as well get paid for it ;)

Edit: Obviously look for a new gig doing whatever you can to make ends meet for the time being...even if you have to whore your self out like a gigalo!!

italian92101's picture

Totally right bro, gonna after start taking serious advantage after all the sacrifice I do, I should be a fucking millionaire by now, but as u guys know it's not for the money but for our fucked up muscle brain, but shit I've had enought of the service industry I'm out, and when I'm at shows, at the gym at supps stores at sport events I feel home that must mean something, thanks for advice bro will be applying ure wisdom....

tonytulo's picture

deff power through it man. I was in your same position not with a show but out of work and money got hella tight and I got depressed as all hell because I cannot sit in a house I lose my mind. you have awesome opportunities at this upcoming show a chance to hit it big maybe snag a sponsor and to boot you came in second last time. that is a no brainer my friend. honestly im wondering how you worked in a fucking restaurant that must have been enjoyable coming into a show all dieted down lol. training is worth it my wife and I do it as a second job and could easily survive off it as long as you get some good clients who want goals and are willing to put in work to get them. I hope you figure it out and wish you the best on your upcoming show.

italian92101's picture

Thanks tony, I know in an Italian restaurant, all the others always looked at me weird they were eating spaghetti meatballs, and I would have Tupperware with cicken Brest, brown rice and broccoli, they looked at me like an alien, but I need to make some changes can take in restaurants no more, I belong to something related to fitness

italian92101's picture

Hey brother, ya gonna start looking in training know some guys that own a small gym that might be able to help then again don't know, and ya gonna try powering trough and it goes how it goes gonna try and focus and not think about this shit, man time to power up, man don't think my wife would let me strip Smile

OmNom's picture

You will not have a problem picking up any clients.. most trainers look like dog shit next to you.. you sound like a nice guy so this will prlly be a much more enjoyable job for you
