+ 1 I KNOW we have the technology to resurrect the TRex

ad

Why don’t we have a Jurassic Park yet?
Yall KNOW they gotta be able to do this!

Who wouldn’t go?

Aggieguy's picture

Because they are going to make us immortal first by using Crispr

Bold of you to assume dinosaurs actually existed

They're already working on it!

Im planning on fucking one of those as soon as they become available on prime

Bad ass. I have a yard full of chickens and I love them, but they’d be so much cooler if they were more reptilian.

The world has changed but not in a good way. Not enough oxygen for Men of size let alone Trex. I sure would not want to be the person responsible for changing the o2 tanks and with the price of meat I don't think Beyond meat will go over very well

Greg's picture

You can't be serious if all the plant life and all the oxygen generating systems on the planet died/stopped. With carbon scrubbers preventing toxicity, the human population would have enough oxygen to survive for approximately 100,000 years before the atmospheric supply was completely exhausted.

The Farts, methane, greenhouse gases, breaks down in about 10 years while coal burning can be 100's.

Closing one coal burning energy plant in the US for a nuclear power plant would support 2.5 million cows.

A T-Rex would eat about 70 to 80 cows per year (roughly one every five days) to sustain its energy needs.
The methane trade-off is a massive net reduction in gas. Because cows are ruminant herbivores, they produce large amounts of methane through fermentation. As a carnivore, a T-Rex would produce virtually no methane from digestion, meaning replacing those cows eliminates their methane footprint completely.

The new tag line would be eat Rex not beef. Or, a Rex is probably closer to a chicken... Rex-fil-A

press1's picture

I am more surprised that Farts take 10 years to break down Shok

Does that vary depending on whether you've eaten an Egg or an Indian (not a whole one - just a leg) beforehand?

bamboo2112's picture

Dinos lived in a time when the o2 levels were much high which allowed them to grow too enormous sizes. The world was covered in massive rainforests that not only replenished the O2 but purified the air.
I get that you are itching to get on your horse and heard them as I am also up to the challenge.
The point being is that many species have become extinct and not on their own terms

I think the high oxygen / large size thing was only true for carboniferous period and it was invertebrates that got huge

In a promo × 2
Greg's picture

That's not factual. The oxygen levels were about the same as today. They use as much oxygen as 2 elephants or one whale

bamboo2112's picture

Actually, the ice cores prove that our atmosphere has changed greatly. As far as creating dinos there have been successful experiments on chicken DNA. Sometimes things are best left in our past. Ask anyone who has gone through a divorce

All subjective including air trapped in amber. The bird like respiratory system would be a benefit from the guesses between 15% and 35% O2 levels (21% today) meaning it could/would adapt.

That said, just like having to use existing elephant DNA to bring a mammoth back the DNA from an ostrich and or alligator would be needed to reproduce the first proto TRex. A modern TRex would be a close relative to its ancestors but have the evolutionary advantage to survive today.

bamboo2112's picture

But would it be something we would eat? We grow meat in labs, so I bet someone has tasted it. As an example, there are many varieties of apples but very few are palatable

Greg's picture

Only one way to find out. However in my experience, eating "exotic" meats: frogs, alligator, snake, rabbit... it all tastes like chicken.

Shelbster's picture

“Similar” in taste, but very different texture

Bro, you just know there has to be some shady govt. lab somewhere in the world doing crazy shit like cloning humans or making fucking dinosaurs.

In a promo × 2

I’m 100% certain they would weaponize cloned TRexes if they could.

Petecastiglione's picture

We keep wondering if we could but never stopped to think if we should

Lol but that would be amazing. Idk if the proper amount of DNA to do it was left behind from 65 million years ago. I don’t think they even found a full fossil in its entirety. If somehow they find it preserved in some way there is a chance I suppose. Or maybe that’s just wishful thinking

Novalentinehere's picture

Just mix it with some Great White, Komodo Dragon and Nile Crocodile to fill in the missing links. Should be fine.

In a promo × 2
Shelbster's picture

Sure they could do something with them. Crocodiles & alligators are literally dinosaurs. It’s crazy to think they been around 250 million years. They’ve changed “adapted” since then, but still here nonetheless

Novalentinehere's picture

Same with great whites except I think they said those haven’t evolved a bit. They were perfect from the get go.

Makes sense bc I doubt their environment has changed much. I could be wrong but, water is water lol

And Tren.

Min Diesel's picture

We probably don’t have jurassic park yet because every jurassic park movie reminds us that having dinosaur parks always turn into a disaster with dinos running amuck and killing and destroying everything and everyone. If they make a movie about a successful dinosaur park with no injuries, that would probably be the first step in the right direction.

Novalentinehere's picture

Would you watch that movie though? Imagine watching a movie about going to the zoo on your average day.

In a promo × 2
Min Diesel's picture

Nah thats hella booring lol

Khandum's picture

We can all imagine a T-Rex, but what about a T-Rex on Tren? The T in T-Rex stands for Tren, it’s a fucking Trenasauresrex lmao

Novalentinehere's picture

What if they could derive a new type of anabolic from the trex!

You think TREN is the shit! Wait til you try TREX!

In a promo × 2
Khandum's picture

Good one! Lol Trex would go insane, can you imagine the pure rage you’ll have in the gym omg

Dead ass was talking about this with my son yesterday. We live in a simulation I swear. Just need to figure out how to manifest this shit now lol

In a promo × 2
TheIcon's picture

I swear we can manifest stuff. I don't know how but I swear we have more abilities than we understand. I have stuff happen all the time. Just simple stuff like for example yesterday I was driving down the road and 2 kids were riding their bikes on the sidewalk. I was like that kid is going to fall off his bike and in front of my truck. So I decided to drive out wide around them into the other lane of traffic and sure enough as soon as I came up on them the kid flips his bike and he falls.

Just wierd shyt like that I have happen all the time.

Novalentinehere's picture

Look up “the double slit experiment”

Shits fucking weird.

In a promo × 2

Funny I literally came across that Slit Experiment like 3 weeks ago fo rthe first time. Never seen it until then.

I fully believe in this as well. Life is fucking strange
