HEARTBURN!!
ad
I don't know exactly what's causing it. I mean obviously I've had heartburn before but now it's every day. I'm taking proviron, aromasin along side all my Supps/vitamins etc. I already tried Zantac and I eat tums like candy. This isn't your run of the mill heart burn. This is stop me in my tracks, down to one knee holding my chest heartburn. Which OTC drug do you all use. Since they're fuckn $30 a box I'm taking a poll instead of rolling the dice again since Zantac doesn't do shit.

So the general consensus is Prevacid or Prilosec both work and increase the fiber intake? Thank you gentlemen. I know those two drugs take a while to start working. About how long are we talkin? A couple days? A week? A month?
It helped after a few days but it was at least a week before it really kicked in and just remember to keep taking it for a couple months even after its gone. i stopped after a couple weeks and it came right back.
I was having heartburn so bad a while back it would litterally make me nauseated. Took Prevacid every day wether I had heartburn or not and after 2 months of taking it everyday I'm good to go. That was prob 5 years ago now.
breakingfaceA few guys mentioned this, but fiber is the key for me.
I've had a lot of stomach issues over the past few years. I get very painful heart burn and reflux that chokes me in my sleep. I'm on a mix of Dexilant and Prilosec. The Dexilant is prescribed. I also take carafate in a slurry to coat my stomach. I have some ulcers, the carafate allows my stomach to heal without too much pain from reflux. I also drink some Aloe Vera juice before meals to help sooth my stomach and prevent reflux.
I know this sounds crazy, but the dentist told me this.... Acidophilus milk.... didn't believe it myself, started drinking 6oz in the morning and 6oz in the evening.... didn't eliminate it completely, but helped lots ;-)
GearofWarI MAY have some prescription Prevacid hanging around bro. I'll PM you tonight after work if I can find it. You're more than welcome to it if I find it.
I know tren is super bad about this for me. Idk if you're taking this but id back your doseage off a bit and see if that helps. Also my roommate get hb so bad he pukes and he said the only thing that helps him is prilosec. So i'd def look into that.
AnonIs there any chance you had a few wild nights lately and popped a viagra or cialis ? That stuff gives me crazy heart burn, Ive had a few wild weekends or evenings, where Ive wanted that "boost" and boy I suffer for it with heartburn.
Now something else you should look in to is the alkaline/acidity ratio in the body . Although it sounds counter intuitive, I have read that drinking water with 1-1/2 lemon each day will help this. I know the thought that your tums are decreasing stomach acid, and you are drinking citric acid seems odd , but look in to it. You'll see that our stomachs are supposed to be acidic, and as we age we loose that acid level. As the acid in our stomach decreases, the acid in our body increases . Which is the opposite of what you want.

Great info. Citrates and citrus can be killer.
Cialis ,yes but that's once in a great while. This heartburn is from sun up to sundown. Thank you for the tip. I'll have to give that a shot. Sounds like a lot of the good anti-heartburn OTC take forever to start working.
AnonThat bad? Are u sure its not your heart champ! I was gettin some extremly annoying heartburn while on dbol it was a pain in the arse! I never thought it hurt tho mate.. Altho its the worst ive had in years there wasnt a slight bit of pain.. Cut out salts and crappy
Fatty foods (if u eat it) for a week or so and eat a good dose of fibre every morning washed down with some water.. Heart burn is just acid reflux only alkalinic supps will help releive symptoms but a good ol fashioned stomach flush should cure it atleast for a while
That was my first thought (fuck am I having a heart attack). But tums takes it away almost immediately. Even tho it only works for 5 mins at a time
AnonWell i can only recommend a good dose of fibre lots of water and a big serving of greens
Everyday for a few weeks as its the only thing ive ever had to try and it worked for me so.. I have a decent understanding of 'ph' and its effects on the body as well as which particular foods are acidic and which arent.. High protein diets arent good for heartburn bro lol ;p but.. Add some greens, nuts, water and fibre and your sorted! Ps supps will only releive symptoms they wont prevent future acid reflux if the diet stays the same
Prilosec works great for me. When real bad take double the dose and it's eqviliant is basically nexium.
Prevacid...been on it for 3 days and it has knocked mine out. Before it was so bad I had to sit upright an try to sleep
