+ 1 Happy Endings and Dark Thoughts (and this forum)
UPDATE : "Ladies and Gentlemen, we got him"
I posted recently how i was robbed in public after having a couple. But after a week, cops called me to say they stopped this junkie in a squat for drug shenanigans, and saw by e-bike with him. What would have been a simple "catch and release" of a dope fiend turned into a felony larceny collar after a positive ID from me at the station. Bike is back with me and in perfect condition, like blessings on toast. Kid is no more than 22yo, hopped up on brown sugar, and hanging out with the wrong crowd.
We checked his records - though he's North African AF, his record is spotless, he's a native-born citizen and comes from a well-to-do family who owns a thriving business in town. Cops sent me a pic while I was in ECS class and I nearly fainted. Bruh, there on my phone was the mofo who robbed me in front of all the lights, cameras and people. Now the kid is in the system, and my e-bike is back home. Happy days!!
Call it "being woke" or whatever but I truly hope he gets treatment because the cops are hammering down on opiate-influenced criminals here. Back in the day I had a friend who got snagged for strong arm robbery to scratch his brownstone itch, and prison just made it easier for him to score H. But at the same time, he needs to learn from his mistakes. Not my problem anymore. We pay taxes so our boys and girls in blue can do their jobs safely and correctly. I have never been more proud of our police than today.
After posting here I read the other stories of how some of you went to some lengths and took liberties to right wrongs of your own accord. I can totally see why you would do something like that, and I cannot, I CANNOT imagine if that e-bike were my daughter or son or wife or baby. I was thinking about all sorts of Charles Bronson pain I would inflict on that kid if I found him on my e-bike. The "Marcellus Wallace medieval" kind of pain. I've never been a hot-headed fire-starter and usually have kept cool in crazy situations, but of course I have also never been on gear. So yeah, to put it mildly, the dark thoughts were insane.
And this is where this forum played its role. Besides the sage advice and amazing stories, this was the only place I opened up about those dark thoughts. Reading post after post from total strangers taught me a valuable lesson about this new journey I have embarked on - to keep calm and rage later at the squat rack. I have been posting on forums since the 1990s and found this medium to truly be a healthy outlet for genuine human interaction. Albeit a total n00b at this kind of life, I am much obliged to this forum for helping me stay on the straight and narrow.
TL:DR - got my shit took, fiend was found, shit restored, cops are good, heroin is bad, dark thoughts are real and this forum kinda helped save my skin

UPDATE - I saw the other dude on Sunday just hanging out with the pub folk, high-fiving the regulars like nothing happened. I had no proof he was in on the steal, and found it odd they that couple since the older dude was clearly well-know by the regulars at the pub that night of the 1st. He's also a drunk, not a the dope fiend
Anyways, a smooth sense of calmness came over me. I looked at him, said nothing, no scowl or frown. Just gave him the "prison 3 sec stare" (he backed off 1st) and we went on enjoying the match. No harm no foul and no dark thoughts. I'm on the very tail end of a 2y SSRI treatment so that interaction was healthy.
Once again, I am glad that I could express this kind of stuff with someone (you guys) and so all is copacetic. I won, his bro is done, and yes, I was only drinking a pepsi in a pub. (Learned that lesson the hard way)
Good you got your bike back. Getting robbed sucks. There is nothing woke about wishing a clown could get his shit together. Would be better for you, him and society in general.
For now though, he is still a scumbag, albeit someone else's scumbag now.
I agree, he needs the hammer coming down on him for this kinda crap
So does the other clown. I'd want to know personally, and wouldn't be holding back. Hopefully the law follow up on the cctv. Data privacy laws are a pig with that, but once they formally request it they should get access.
P.S. the few scoops, shots versus orals... might be an idea to think on whether you are dehydrated, definitely makes a difference with the gargle.
You weren't robbed: 'Robbery is defined as taking the property of another, with the intent to permanently deprive the person of that property, by means of force or fear.'
Your bike was stolen because you were not paying attention. You were not robbed.
Anyway this aint tiktok bro, I don't get all this drama over an e-bike. Wtf is this shit.
It was literally and legal defined in the code of law here as a robbery, not a burglary. Force does not have to be physical. Their intent, (mens rea) was nefarious and the subsequent guilty action (actus reas) has the result to permanently take my belongings with no intent to return them.
Assault also can be completely non-physical and non-forceful. Online harassment is assault in my country.
e-bike is 7500$US, so yeah its a big deal
That damn Davos
Thanks for the grammar lesson.
He isn't being dramatic, "what if" is not dramatic action. He's sharing.
You're right, this is the eroids Off Topic section where we as members can learn to know the men behind the personas (Greek: prosōpa: meaning "face" or "mask") And by doing so, learn who we can trust.
As someone who has been a victim of strong arm robbery- I agree.
I’d seriously seek therapy or counseling for those “dark thoughts” and medieval torture type pain stuff… that is not a normal reaction and letting it take up so much of your mind worries me. Harboring/hyperfocusing and amplifying emotions only hurts you.
Hell… I don’t have those feelings towards people that have done 100x worse than take a e-bike- I am glad you got your property, but get your mental in check before going too crazy with gear my man!
Good advice
I was going to add that, like I've had worse happen to me in life than an e-bike stolen. I've lost ten thousands of euros by stupidity of other people, still I don't have dark thoughts about them. That is wild.
If I drop a piece of toast and it lands jam side up, I'm sharing the story.
Your reading comprehension is seriously lacking or your wokeism is showing.
in case you missed it, THIS is what he is referring to... read the remarks:
@smurfdude1234567 this is for your benefit too
https://www.eroids.com/forums/general/off-topic/so-i-got-robbed-yesterda...
Yeah I know what it was from and my statement completely stands.
I share lots too (even stupid stuff such as that sometimes) and love this community!
I was commenting on the fact that if you harbor and almost fantasize about torture and enacting vengeance there is something deeper rooted I can almost guarantee. He had a bike stolen- didn’t get his wife raped in front of him then murdered. John Wick level thoughts for a low level thing. Driving head first into gear with those problems probably isn’t the smartest idea, but to each their own.
The original post didn’t comment on it much, but
” I was thinking about all sorts of Charles Bronson pain I would inflict on that kid if I found him on my e-bike. The "Marcellus Wallace medieval" kind of pain. I've never been a hot-headed fire-starter and usually have kept cool in crazy situations, but of course I have also never been on gear. So yeah, to put it mildly, the dark thoughts were insane.”
slightly concerned me.
Not even mentioning the drinking on cycle…
Your concern is validated and that's why i shared it here on a fear forum. I don't know who to trust with this kind of info and and really new to this culture. In less than month I have learned so much from you guys, so when I post I am polite and well-cultured but unfiltered and genuine.
That’s the way to do it here man! People pick us on bullshit and lies pretty quickly no matter how well you think you can cover it. Honesty goes a long way.
Exactly my comment wasn’t trying to hate or make you look bad- was true concern especially starting drugs that can have harsh mental effects and amplify those thoughts much more!
Glad it all worked out, and thanks for not taking it as an insult!
Bro, I really appreciate you calling me out so no harm no foul. Those "dark thoughts" are so much less than years before, though to be blunt, I have never shared having dark thoughts with anyone except for my shrink. But even though he helped me years ago from the brink of suicide (depression is a bitch) I have never once spoke about how I think I might react to a person given a highly emotional situation.
I chose to "not engage the enemy" since 2019, because it was my foolish Chuck Norris nature that led to the crumbling of a good marriage and the loss of my best friend.
For what it's worth, I truly appreciate your response, smurfdude1234567
Man, I read Happy Endings and I was expecting to read some extravagant story about plastering some poor broad against the wall with a tsunami load because your libido is back. Whatever. Anyway, I’m glad you got your bike back. I’m gonna go get some help now.
That's a knee slapper right there. lol
I thought this post was going to go in another direction like "im not going to drink tequila and be distracted enough to get robbed right under my nose again" lol. Imagine if you was sober, you would have caught him in the act and got to exact retribution in live time. A larceny charge isnt going to teach a dope fiend but a good ass whooping would have.
Yeah, you are right. Those dark thoughts probably would have manifested in real time, as you suggested. I can't get any charges on me since I am applying for dual citizenship this year.
Yes, @Pumped_ I am not going to drink tequila and be so distracted that I get robbed again.
Haha
