Giving props to my girl
Well my GF isn't a member here, but she thoroughly impressed me Saturday and I want to give give credit where credits due. We signed up to run a 5k obstacle course. This is something I would have never done without her as I avoid cardio like the plague since I'm an ectomorph. My GF is a runner but never did any strength training. So needless to say we both had some weaknesses to train through. I also want to say thank god for elevated RBCs from my EQ cycle! That really helped with my cardio.
So Saturday comes along and we're both pretty stoked (I even hit up 100 mg of TNE to get really "focused" lol). We start out in a wave of 6 people, it was us and 2 couples that we didn't know but they knew each other. We stayed kind of bunched up through the first obstacle. Actually both my GF and I ate shit going over these concrete barriers which was a little embarrassing, but oh well. We still managed to be the first couple to the second obstacle, which was a pair of 10' walls. I gave my girl a boost and as she came down on the other side, her knee just gave. She already had one knee taped up and she just fucked up her good one. She screamed in absolute agony. As she's rolling on the ground in pain. The other couples proceed to finish the obstacle and kinda console her as they go by. The course staff called for a golf cart to come get her since her knee was now swollen and purple.
Just as the cart is coming I helped her to her feet, and I started to wipe the tears and gravel from her face. She began limping on it and stretching it out. I knew right then what was going through her mind. She looked at me and told me I better get my ass over those walls cause we're falling behind. The course staff told her she had to get checked out first, to which she replied fuck you I signed a waiver then she started running.
I hopped the walls and caught up to her, and we went on our merry little way, completing everything that was thrown at us. We lost around 5-7 minutes when the injury happened, and it was about 1k into the course. After about 2k we could see that the other couples had split up into the guys in a group and the women in a group. My GFs knee was a lovely shade of purple, and I was already impressed with how far she made it. I asked her if she was gonna make it all the way and she of course downplayed how bad it was, but she was clearly in pain.
We kept up a great pace considering her injury, I hardly want to mention I was nursing an inflamed tendon in my foot since my issue was so insignificant compared to my GFs. At around 3.5k we actually got to the point where the 2 women were in our sight. I looked at my girl and told her that we could beat these bitches (no offense to the ladies of eroids, I was being extreme and trying to motivate my gf). She looked back at me with an almost sick look in her eyes and she just nodded yes. We picked up our pace and by the second to last obstacle we had caught them. We climbed this ridiculously high stack of hay bales, and as the other group took a break at the top we flew right by them. We ran as hard as we could with my minor gimp, and her freakish injury to the final obstacle. It was some weird looking wonky ladder that looked like something out of ninja warrior. Now my GFs fear of heights comes into play. I was able to calmly talk her through it and we made it down the other side together. We hit the ground to our reward of an ice cold beer which they pass out to all that finish. However the sweetest reward for my girl was the look on the faces of the boyfriends that were waiting at the finish line. They could not believe that my GF was able to even finish the race, let alone beat their GFs.
I have no idea the extent of the damage because she is taking a wait and see approach. I don't agree, but that's not the topic here. My GF is one hell of a bad ass. She amazes me everyday and her resilience is an inspiration. I love the hell out of that chick, and she motivates me to keep improving myself.

RustyhookerThat's awesome! Hope she heals up quick too!
Wow. Props to her. When it comes down to pain, my wife kicks my ass. Good for both of you, especially her.
Awesome ass story and congrats but I seriously thought this was going to be a post about how your girl was running Test Prop and kicking asses lol. Not until I got to the very end did I realize... Hey wait where's the part where she took the Prop!
That is a great story. Any man that praises the woman he claims to love is a real man!
Hell yeah.
