Clothing options for bodybuilders
I'd like to share a couple of options for bodybuilders and meatheads out there but also get some feedback because when you're in this game long enough it seems like nothing fucking fits. I'd also prefer to buy American as much as I can, I know it's harder and harder these days.
Jeans I've had the most luck with Bar*ell. They're made in the USA and will fit most guys because they have a lot of stretch. My quads rub when I walk and these lasted over a year of use. Much more than others I've tried. Still not as long as I hoped for 150$ a pop.
L*vi's 541 their "athletic-stretch" fit like sausage casings but at least I could get the legs in them and walk around and sit down and look presentable for a few hours if I can't wear sweats that day. They wore through the crotch in about two months from legs rubbing together.
Shirts I've liked bi*nk a company from Australia for shirts that don't break the bank but are long enough and don't look like a dress.
Dress shirts have to be tailored, I don't see a way around it. If anyone knows any companies that make good shirts for 20+ inch arms I'd love to hear about them. There must be some guys out there who know some stuff cuz we've got some gorillas on these boards.
I've edited the brands a bit, not sure if that's ok or not just playing it safe, hopefully you can still see what they are.

What size shirts is everyone wearing that has issues with finding sizes? 3x to 5x
I'm on the 2x-3x border. A few styles 2x works in the chest and shoulders, and arms if the sleeves are stretchy but others it's gotta be 3x
AnonSame, the only 2X ive found to work is the all cotton hanes tshirts at walmart. My chest has dropped from 52 1/2 to 50 1/2 since april but 3X is still tight in the arms. I hate the look and feel of shirts that are tight in the arms, looks like those smaller guys that wear extra smediums.
When you get those puppies up to 24"'s, you can just rip the sleeves off. Won't no one question it. I've got a little further journey there than you.
I can't stand the tight sleeves myself. An xl is full homo tight on the arms and chest, but fits the rest of my short ass like a moo moo. When I throw the 2x on, I might as well get a flat billed hat and kick it sideways. I think I own maybe 3 shirts I like. Lol.
Anonhaha, im with you on having only a select few shirts. I ruin most but i have a handful that ill wear when we go out to dinner, special events, ect. The rest are walmart specials
I just ordered some things from monsta clothing, if you want to send me a FR I can let you know how they fit compared to the clothing offered in stores for mortals.
Pm sent, much appreciated. I've been eyeing them
Dress shirts are impossible. I get mine tailored and there still like a fucking dress at the bottom. It's a real pain in the ass. And there's a lot of guys out there that are wider then I am, idk what they do.
AnonTheres another thread on here about the same thing, the conclusion to that thread was we all look like a bag of ass when not in the gym. I am not going to spend high dollars for clothing because outside the gym im in the garage wrenching on cars and bikes so clothes dont last long for me. At work its uniforms so thats just a whole different problem.
Went with the Mrs to go shopping and I didn't fit into a thing. If I did I would of needed a 46 inch waist..
Size on shoulders and chest with a slim waste and your fucked because XXL is for fat people.
Lol ya you said it right. The xxls waist are fucking insane, I could probably fit two of me in there. Even after paying the tailor it still looks absolutely stupid. Even when I tuck it in it still doesn't look great.
A lot of places do 'muscle fit' which is better of sorts.. not perfect but you need to get it taylored for that but my body is constantly changing it wouldn't fit 8 months of the year.
Right? I'm hoping all this new stretch fabric stuff will help us a bit, there are some shorts by Hurley that fit and have four way stretch. Like you said though, anything that fits the chest and shoulders is at least ten sizes too big in the waistline. I remember seeing clips of jay cutler at the tailor and he had something like a 20 size difference between his chest and his waistline.
Avoid this look at all costs
what a man, lived like an animal!
He lived it that's for sure. His videos will be missed.
Aw haha yeah it's not a good look.
Rest In Peace brother Rich
Well said.
For dress shirts Hotbodz has some decent ones and they are cut with us in mind.
I like the levi 541's and own several pairs but I wish they would include the normal amount of belt loops. For work I wear CAT workwear pants .
Appreciate it Pale, that's just the kind of stuff I'm looking for.
