Carb backloading!
Hey guys just wanted to share my experience with carb backloading. Let me start of by saying that it is absolutely amazing. I swear by it, I brag to everyone and tell everyone about it even tho at first I get the ya ok looks and people think its bullshit. Carb backloading is basically staying no carb for the first part of the day, training in the evening then carbing up on High glycemic index foods (jasmine rice, poptarts, corkflakes, ice cream) You don't need to count calories or plans meals. Before this diet I was carb cycling and counting everything I ate, a bunch of headaching math went into my diet figuring everything out, now I've never been on an easier diet with such great results, and after a workout I can ENJOY myself. Since starting I have lost fat, AND gained muscle. My strength increases every week and I have never been so clear headed in the gym and energized throughout the day. I use to pound oatmeal and brown rice before my workout because I Thought I needed the energy from carbs, however I couldn't figure out why I was soo tired all the time. Without taking carbs before my workout everything has changed. Honestly I suggest everyone give this a try, It has changed my workouts and my body and I can never go back to anything different. Plus how fricken sweet to eat things like ice cream and frosted flakes and get better results than any other diet I've been on....

did you use john keifers protocol?
I've been using carb backloading for years.. not terribly strict, but same practice
TropicanaJuiceabsolutely, been doing it for a little over a month and half I'd say. I love it.
I am actually waiting on my cycle because I am just finishing up the prep phase, want to figure out how my body responds to the protocol before adding in gear. Before I bought the book I was basically doing the DB protocol and it was working great and I have never felt better. ****WARNING TOO MUCH INFO AHEAD**** only thing I can't figure out is the end part of digestion has been a little messy, will work on getting acclimated though.
TropicanaJuicehaha ya it takes a little bit for the body to get used to it, starting off I was really constipated for days then I've been fine ever since. I actually skipped the prep phase because I was carb cycling and felt my body was accustomed to burning fat for energy. How far are you into the prep phase? and Ive wondered how adding gear and this diet would do together too
Tomorrow will be day 10. Felt a bit unmotivated at work on days 4-6 but otherwise feel pretty good, strength is going up slowly oddly enough, lost a good deal of water weight, I can feel leverages are already a good deal different in numerous lifts. I would think that adding gear one might just need to increase the protein intake to make use of the enhanced protein synthesis. Only one way to find out I guess.
TropicanaJuiceYa thats what I was thinking, adding gear shouldnt change anything as long as carbs do get in and the protein is there, how much weight have u lost so far?
