$10.00 an hour in the patch? For a driller more like 36.50hr starting. 89 1/2hrs a week. But either way I feel your pain. I am OFT by trade. But these last three years I have had to start charging for my hobby..GunSmithing...I get on a rig when I can..I have worked for just about everyone. Including service company's. Even with the boom on up here I can't get on....SUCKS..........
The economy is has gotten so bad that it cut my families business down to a third of what is used to bring in. There is no shame in a 10 dollar per hour job. We really past the point of a recession we are in a depression now, and from the looks of it this once thriving country, with an awesome economy, will not be recovering
alot of economys are falling ' i bought house 5 years ago for €400 '000 euro in dublin its now worth €250 '000 maybe less i work in building materials 14 years so its a no brainer my job will go -and to be honest they(banks) can have my house ' it take about a year to reposess maybe more ' so thats a year rent free
ha whats sadder to me is to watch those that have had their careers 30+ years ,makin 100k and pissin it away like dont worry i get another check next week. i used to be that guy 04-08 now i make half that but save more than ever. I dont know your situation clese but I'd say tough it out at your current job awhile ntil you can put down that ou have a good bit of experience and atrack record of stayin at one job for a long time . then use that info on aresume and hand m out to every single place asking for 15-18$. be patient like the chinese that built that great wall and as long as u keep placing bricks in the right spot . boom. you'll build something that lasts

AnonI dont know about every country, but the couple Ive looked in to you have to have something to offer the country or they wont let you in. I looked in to Cayman, New Zealand, Scotland. All three want to see either a profession they are looking for or some serious bank accounts. They dont ask for the weary the tired hungry and poor, and Im guessing even though Aus was a penal colony they're no longer asking for people with a record.
If you have a record the borders are closed...nobody will want you. Damn shame...also the damn truth
