Bowflex 1090

ad

So I bought a pair of Bowflex 1090 selecttech Dumbels a few days ago, first impression is there kinda bulky but I like the fact it can go from 10 pounds up to 90 pounds with the turn of a dial. I feel that if dropped they could be broken pretty easy and from other reviews stating that verysame thing. Any one else have these that can lend some insight?

Damn those are expensive. I've never priced them until I read your post. I guess in the end the cost is worth it compared to having to buy a whole racks worth.

I thought about getting a pair of these, but ended up just getting dumbbell handles that I can put Olympic plates on. They do the job but require smaller 5-10ers otherwise the larger plates get in the way.

Bought 10/90s two years ago the only issues I've had is they'll get sticky once in awhile and try to grab the all the plates not the ones that I selected. Just once in a while, little WD-40 seems to work for mine. They're not big and bulky and they work great.

I came close to buying some a couple of weeks ago but the size and plastic spool put me off, I went for a pair of bodymax 32.5kg selectabells instead, not as heavy but a good bit cheaper, metal spool and I got the stand thrown in for free.

I have only had these a few days but I’m liking them so far

I opted for the PowerBlock as there are no moving parts. The Bowflex demo set was getting stuck at times when turning the dial.
