Am I Middle Aged???
What's up fellas. I just turned 39, and it got me thinking. Am I considered middle-aged now?? Are all of my best days now behind me? Because when I think about it, statistically I'm closer to death then I am from my birth. It's just weird how years go by so fast and before you know it, you're 40.
Don't get me wrong, I feel great, I'm in the best shape I've ever been in, my health is great and I don't have any health issues. I know I should be grateful and I certainly am. It just makes me think when I realize that from here out, I'm kinda heading towards the end right? Your thirties are really like the major tipping point in your life. Like in your early thirties, you can say "oh, I'm in my prime". But then in your late thirties it has me saying "fuck, the end is much closer, and I'm not where I really wanted to be".
And I'm not depressed about it and sad, I'm just thinking about it and wondering if this is how a lot of other people who are my age think and come to these realizations?? I can imagine that being this age is probably 10 times worse for women. And I don't mean any offense to anyone who is older than me, I'm just wondering how other people feel about this. Any thoughts or opinions are definitely welcomed!! Thks fellas.

Alphamale500Thanks bro. And no I don't worry about thinning hair because I have a full head of hair that the ladies love running their hands through! I don't know if it's genetics, the supps and special shampoo I use, or just believing that it's not gonna happen to me like I do. Whatever it is, I have no complaints.
I pulled up my big boy pants a long time ago. As soon as your born you're dying so I take age as a lesson. If you make it to 40 you're doing great.

39 i was still doing great things. Just broke up with a 25yr old girlfriend and met the woman i married a few years later. Watched kids graduate varied schools and slowly move on to high school. Making new pr in gym a constant. Etc etc.

Technically speaking middle-aged is 45 - 65. So you are not yet middle-aged. However, the old adage is 'you are only as old as the woman you feel'...oh, wait, I think that it is; 'you are only as old as you feel.' If you are a young man but have an old man's mindset then you are an old man regardless of your chronoligical age. There is a substantial age difference between my wife and myself and yet she often refers to guys younger than me as being old - simply because of their physical appearance and their outlook on life. Keep fit, have a positive outlook on growing older, and you might age but never be old. I'm 64 and got some admiring looks from young women with their young flabby men while on the beach last week. Just never let a number be a defining factor in how you approach and live life.

You are apt to live into your mid to late 90's if not longer. My guess 48-53 would be your middle age.

And shit, by then who knows what kind of advances in health-care, cures and treatments to disease and whatnot we will have. Like I was saying, my health is perfect, 0 health ailments, etc.. Alphamale500Yeah, my uncle recently passed away at age 62. But he smoked cigarettes his whole like since he was a very young kid! And my father died when he was a young guy, but he had many acquired health issues including cirrhosis of the liver from heavy drinking and being very overweight.
I’m already well past my dad and one grandfather. Both pretty much suffocated to death from black lung. My lungs are mostly clear.
Everyman I know who ever had black lung also smoked, Not to say you can’t get it being a nonsmoker but that’s been my observation and I know plenty.
My other grandfather was an alcoholic. He hit 80. It amazes me folks still smoke.
jayiskmy wife's grandfather worked in the coal mines in PA his whole life. would smoke packs of cigs a day, hit the bar after work, drive home drunk speeding through dark dangerous rural wooded farm roads.
He lived to be 92 yrs old. Tough bastard that loved to speak his mind...lol
