I get some acne on my back and quads...the way I get rid of it is by going into the steam room at my gym for 2 intervals of 15 minutes and spray Eucalyptus Oil into the steam. After my first 15 min interval I take a quick cold shower with no soap to refresh myself, then go back in. After the second interval I shower normally, soap, shampoo, conditioner..whatever, but at the end of it when all the soap is washed off I crank it to cold and close up my pores. It helps me basically until my next workout because I sweat like a beast in the gym haha

Acne is caused by clogged pores, it is not related to nutrition or dirt. The black of blackheads is due to pigment or colouring of the plug of "sticky" cells and blocking the hair duct. Some cosmetics may induce acne formation in the skin. Some cosmetics may induce acne formation in the skin. Continual pressure from headbands, tight bra straps may cause spots in those areas of skin. Coming into contact of mineral oil can cause acne like spots in those area of skin.

True but hormonal acne is most likely the cause of acne on the site. I have dealt with my share of acne and have come somewhat of a self proclaimed "Guru" on the subject. The onset of hormonal acne is caused by the production of androgens. Androgen production stimulates sebaceous glands and cause them to enlarge. People who develop hormonal acne have over stimulated sebaceous glands. So the larger the sebaceous glands the easier it is to get bacteria built up in them.

Acne effects the pilosebaceous units (PSUs) of the skin. PSUs consist of a "sebaceous" gland (oil-producing gland) connected to a canal called a "follicle." The follicle contains a fine hair, and the hair grows out through the open end of the canal at the skin's surface. This open end is usually called a "pore." There are numerous PSUs on the face, upper back, and chest (where acne problems often are worst).

The sebaceous glands produce an oily substance called "sebum" that normally empties onto the skin's surface through the pore. Trouble begins when the follicle becomes plugged, thereby preventing the normal draining of sebum. If a follicle becomes blocked for some reason, the mixture of oil cells within allows the bacteria "Propionibacterium acnes" (P. acnes), which is normally present on the skin, to grow inside the plugged follicle.

The P. acnes bacteria multiplies inside the plugged follicle, causing the body to send white blood cells to that follicle, which in turn causes the area to become inflamed and painful. This leads to a variety of skin lesions.

The basic acne lesion is called the "comedo." It is simply an enlarged and plugged hair follicle. If the comedo remains beneath the skin, it is called a "closed comedo" and produces a white bump called a "whitehead." A comedo that reaches the surface of the skin and opens up is called a "blackhead" because it looks black on the skin's surface.

A "papule" is an inflamed lesion that usually appears as a small, pink bump on the skin that may be tender to the touch. A "pustule" is a papule topped by a pus-filled lesion that may be red at the base-- this is commonly called a "pimple." A "nodule" is a large, painful, solid lesion that is lodged deep within the skin. A "cyst" is a deep, painful, pus-filled lesion that can cause scarring.

Hope this helps.

Whatever you do DO NOT get on acutane accutane. I did it and my body had an immune response to it and It caused me to have acne fulminans all over my chest, back and shoulders. If you don't know what that is just google "acne fulminans" and look at some images. It was the worst thing that has ever append in my whole life. I only took accutane for two months and it caused the worst pain of my whole life. Thankfully two years later after whole ordeal the only thing that remains are a bunch of keloid scars all over my chest. I will have to live with the the rest of my life, but i thank God every day that the stuff did not touch my face. Smile

Maybe might want to look into minocycline in ur case of acne, I too also was breaking out but it was minor. I read another member post about zinc for acne. Currently Started to intake zinc a few days ago just to see if it would keep the acne I get at bay with my current cycle I started last week mon, test e and deca.
