Spironolactone and anavar

ad

Hi there!!!

Trying to start my 3rd cycle of anavar which I always get great results with. History i had a hysterectomy in oct2020 and dr had me on spironolactone prior to surgery for breakouts.. should I discontinue the meds while I'm on a cycle??? Thanks in advance!

So spirinolactone is a potassium sparing diuretic, what do you mean by breakouts? Stopping a diuretic can cause a lot of problems esp if you CHF or some other chronic conditions. Also you def wouldn’t want to take both at same time as anavar is largely processed through your kidneys and diuretics place a good strain on your kidneys in fact thats why they are used to regulate blood pressure, if your on spirinolactone my guess is that you have already been on another diuretic and had trouble w electrolyte imbalances which can be very dangerous. Also quitting any medication like this without assistance or supervision can be extremely harmful lookup rebound hypertension and then consider your adding a drug known to cause htn anyways. Probably best to be honest with your Dr and lay it all out and let them guide you.

Deffinately don't take this var.. Sironolactone takes about 3 months to see results, consult ur doc, but they might have have questions about taking u off so soon. Also ur only 10 weeks out from having a major surgery,, most docs don't release their patients from this procedures until 8-9wks. It's just too soon to be thinking this way. Imo, finish up ur acne treatment and spend the next couple of months light training, dieting, and fully recovering to 100%. It's just to soon to be straining ur body and organs.. Glad ur having a good recovery and good luck

It appears that spironolactone is an anti androgen???? Wouldnt it seem that this might conflict with anavar??? I personally would just ask my doctor.

I'd wait at least 3-4 months till using gear again! Better safe than sorry!

I quote
Depending on the type of operation, you should expect a recovery time of approximately 4 to 6 weeks. With an operation via the sheath or viewing tube, this will be more likely towards 4 weeks, with an abdominal cut recovery takes at least 6 weeks.
I think maybe it's better 2 wait after your surgery to start your anavar cycle anavar also benefits in scar healing!! Good luck with your surgery!
