First Anavar Run
Hey everyone! Hoping for some tips for starting my first cycle of Var this coming week!
I did my research ( Holy Cow is that a lot of reading!) stalked the forums on several sites, spoke to (reluctant) folks at the gym, and decided to go for it. BUT! I still have a few iffy concerns, hoping to get some wise words?
Little about me and I hope I can answer the questions anyone would want to know to give their best opinion:
I'm 27 at 5'2 weighing at 135 BF 21%. I lift six days a week, my rep ranges and exercises change every thirty days to keep me going. But I lift to muscle failure.
I train in Muay Thai so I DO cardio often either running, skipping rope, focus mitts, heavy bag drills, or something else. This is about five to six days.
Nutrition is great. Wouldn't say it's fantastic, but great. I'm a good 80% clean and 20% wiggle room. I have a cheat meal every 12-14 days which is typically Thai food because it's sex in your mouth ( yes yes I'm prepared for the comments).
My Goal is to cut down a little of the body fat and push myself more in the gym. I've heard some great things about Var and athletes so I want to give it a shot. I plan on taking 10mg a day, splitting the dose between morning and night.
My concerns are: I am on birth control. I take a low dose pill ( Loestrin 24 FE), I understand taking a male hormone and a female hormone are contradictory. BUT since my BCP is a low dose would it really limit my results on Var? I've heard a ton of different testimonies some say come of the BCP some say it doesn't matter much. I'm not currently sexually active so getting pregnant isn't the issue. I just don't want to stop taking it unless it's going to totally waste my time with Var.
Second. My body fat is higher then a good bit of you amazing ladies here
I'm strong, I'm determined, and I can cut weight like I do for fighting ( although I'm not totally pleasant...) Is my BF% to high to really see results or will I still get those strength gains and lean down a bit.
Thank you for reading my novella! Any advice or tips and tricks would be great!

the interaction between BC and AAS is negligable at best and ONLY becomes a "real" issue if you are competing on a professional level
BF won't stop you from getting results you will just be thicker than you would normally be .. anavar was created to add muscle mass on people with muscle wasting disease so you will add muscle regardless of bodyfat just dont be surprised if your clothing is a lot tighter ..
I m running about 20% bf give or take and can take off BF with adjustments to diet (I d like to know who is pleasant while in the process of taking off BF ;-)
My only concern for you is that A) you are eating enough to add the muscle mass and B) that the muscle pumps you get from the var will restrict your cardio and boxing... I think you will have to ensure that you supplememt with taurine and pottassium and plenty of water
Thanks for advice!
I was a little concerned about my boxing as well, but Var, from what I've learned so far is a 'cutting' steroid that aids in also building lean muscle tissue. With that in mind I'm eating more consciously because as much as I'd LOVE to be able to sit on my ass and be fit and that the Var would magically do that, I know it doesn't ::sigh::
My hope with cycling the Var is to maintain my lean tissue and gain strength while cutting.
So far everything is running smoothly but much to soon to tell I think! I'm running 10mg split 5 in the am and 5 in the pm each day. This is day two.
I'll be sure to supplement with pottassium and taruine as you suggested!
any steriod can be used as a "Cutting" compound .. some provide different looks depending on your body fat but the reality is that cutting is about diet not about what compound you are using ... when i say eat make sure your protein intake is adequate to support the lean muscle mass
I am running a cycle right now (my first). It depends on what you are looking to get out of it. I am looking for mainly gains. I am not too worried about whether or not I have a little extra poundage on me. My feeling is that the primary reason for using gear is to put on some type of mass.
Cutting fat is easy (well not EASY, but easier than putting on muscle). I want to give the gear all the calories and nutrients it needs to work its best. So unless you are looking for something else, I would say to give it a whirl!
