Have we all made mistakes?
ad
What a learning experience this site is! I'm coming to learn that I need to be true to myself before I even think of buying gear. You know hit my max potential legit first. My gyno just drives me NUTS! Lumps that won't go away some of you may have this. Frustrating needless to say. I look back at what gear I had and did no research. Went into it all blind. Stuff worked, but god knows what I did to my liver and joints. For anyone and everyone who advises, guides, or help in anyway on this journey I thank you! Hoping to hit as much of my potential as possible by April 2014. Wish me Luck.

You bet we have. Some guys under 35 just dont know it yet. -) Not just with gear ,Im talking major life choices as well.. But if you dont make mistakes you have no life, remember that! Im 54, just did my 1st cycle in 30 years. Finished a 14 weeker about 2 months ago. I learned more from the guys here in 2 months than I learned from pros back in Lou Ferrignos gym in the old days in 2 years! What I realize now is, I dont want to compare myself to anyone, I don't want to be better than anyone. I just want next months me to be better than this months me. Everything else works itself out.
There,s also overkill of advice. I had guys here who because of my typo almost gave me a nervous breakdown thinking I was literally killing myself with way too much gear and they all begged me to get off of it and the truth was, they were right, but for reasons of pushing myself too far ,too fast for 14 weeks and exhausting myself. The gear believe it or not seemed to start kicking in more and more...the less I did. Im not genetically cut out to be a pro. At age 54, I now understand that for me I cant worry anymore about the weight Im using or somebody's secret strength routine that has them only doing squats, presses and deadlifts and benches. I cant train that way for various reasons. But even on gear I was doing better on week 12 with 20 min toal workouts with like 20 seconds rest between sets, than much longer workouts resting a minute. Everyone is different. And truth is, how we react to gear is also genetic. But now the second cycle I try, Im going to know a lot better what is realistic for ME and not the average guy who is giving me advice who might be 25 yrs younger. One thing I discovered is I cant do martial arts twice a week, hit the gym 4x a week and do cardio 2x a week at 54. Its not suitable for me. Now I know, when I feel exhausted, my body is talking. And at 54, it will talk to you a lot more than it did at 34! And I thank everyone here for their 2 cents. I learned a lot.Welcome to Eroids.
