+ 3 What is considered a cruise dose only?

When I think of cruising I think of a TRT like dose of Testosterone only; however, a guy at my gym said he is on a cruise while he uses 200mg Test, 200mg tren e, and an oral i forget which one. Is that a legitimate cruise at the elite levels of body building or is it delusional?

125mg every week or so for me, 2 cycles a year that are tame by most guys standards. I feel good, look good for soon to be 50, and planning on sticking around a while. Bloods are always pretty good doing that.

I think the compounds are relative. For example, I shed bad on winstrol but not on primo. Master on definitely had that effect but perhaps Finasteride can slow it down? I read no matter what, master is pure dht and will effect hair no matter what preventative measures.

lol yes! Bro my wife got so mad at me one time. I got some dbol suspension from a very less then reputable source, his stuff was either motor oil or some of the most overdosed, powerful, sauce you’ve ever had. So, I went on a cycle and added this dbol at what I thought was 30mg a day, to this day I have no idea how much I was actually taking, I’d guess closer to the 100mg point. I actually hit the ground mid conversation with someone because a charleyhorse in my hamstring hit so bad. It get them in my neck and it would wake me up at night. I had put on 30lbs and was big and bloated, people staring at me from their cars (I live near a busy road) and my wife started calling me Sloth, you know, from the goonies. She actually really dislikes muscles, prefers skinny guys, she said “don’t to that again.” I have to admit, it was kinda fun. Except for my knuckles turning bright white when I put my palm down flat from the water retention swelling… Sloth.

Bro, cruise and TRT get thrown around a lot like they mean the same thing but they’re not.

TRT is for health. That’s what your doc gives you (if he’s not a VA zombie) to keep your hormones in a healthy range, usually around 100–200mg/week. It’s about feeling good, keeping libido, energy, preventing age-related crash, all with the goal of longevity. No chasing gains, no wild stack, just quality of life.

Cruise? Totally different game. That’s from the whole Blast & Cruise concept, most say it came from the DC Training crowd (Dante Trudel era).

The idea is simple:
• You blast hard ( stacked doses, pushing growth )
• Then you cruise ( low gear, give the body a breather but stay enhanced enough to hold onto gains )

Cruise is for guys who live the lifestyle full-time. If you’re not blasting, then calling anything a cruise doesn’t really make sense. it’s just a long-ass low dose cycle.

Now your gym bro saying he’s “cruising” on 200mg Test, 200mg Tren, and an oral? Come on, that’s not a cruise, that’s a light blast.

Tren and cruising don’t go together( Tren lover speaking ), unless you’re trying to cruise your way into high BP, trashed lipids, and anxiety attacks. Ain’t sustainable, even for top guys.

I know people who have been running for years( year-round ), believe me they are all fucked.

Sure, some pros might cruise on higher doses ( 400–800mg Test or add Mast/Primo ), but they’re over 300 lbs, freaks of nature, and usually do it to stay stage-ready or keep sponsors happy. That doesn’t mean it’s healthy…it’s just their normal.

Cruising properly is about cleaning up getting your markers back in range, recovering your system, and holding on to what you’ve built IMHO. No orals, no 19-nors, no Tren. Usually just Test, maybe a DHT like Mast or Primo if your body handles it.( I do like that and usually keep them in my protocol )

At the end of the day:

• TRT is health-based
• Cruise is performance-based
• What works best? Depends on you, your goals, and whether you’re trying to keep growing or just stay alive :lol:

Hope that clears things up … just my perspective based on experience and what I’ve seen over the years. Take what makes sense for your journey, leave the rest in the trash where it belongs. No ego here, we’re all learning. Smile

Just keep it real with yourself, and if you’re on Tren and Dbol and calling it a cruise… be honest and call it a lite blast, nothing wrong with that Lol

I know everybody responds differently, but I've seen some numbers thrown around like 1mg test per 1 lb. body weight to maintain during a cruise. I'm about 230 lbs. fairly lean right now, so that would imply 230mg weekly on cruise.

Obviously, this is a gross simplification of the science, but anybody got a better rule of thumb?

I was a high intensity low volume 4 day a week guy at the time. Then that came out. And i was like fuck that's basically how I'm working out right now. But of course i was in a yard in the middle of no where soooooo... obv didn't get into the supplement regiment cuz it wasn't available. I lean towards volume more now. I built allot size and strength training like that though. Naturally.

Absolutely, Big Mikey, what’s wild is how DC broke so many “rules” back in the day. Everyone was stuck on bro splits and chasing the pump, then BOOM you’ve got Dante preaching progressive overload, logbooks, blasting the same lifts week to week, and stretching between sets like a psychopath Lol

And here’s the funny part: now in 2024, science is finally catching up saying, “Hey, maybe lower volume, higher intensity with progression is actually super effective.” Like we didn’t already see that with guys like DH and Dugdale!

Also… people forget DC wasn’t just about training, the “supplement protocols” Dante hinted at were borderline underground Bible for advanced users. A lot of that was way ahead of the curve and became the blueprint for many enhanced setups.

So it’s cool you naturally fell into it when it fits, it fits. That foundation you built back then? Makes the modern volume work hit 10x harder now that you’re training with more maturity and precision.

Respect for keeping it real through all the eras, brother man. Solid roots.
