Vitamin Debate
I posted the other day that I spend about $150 a month on vitamins. Some people mentioned I was wasting my money and should just get more GH. I'm curious about people's opinions on this matter.
I have high blood pressure and cardiovascular disease in the family. So I try to take some care of my heart.
I take the following:
SAN multi vitamin
Liquid B complex.
B12 injectable.
Curcumin
Fish Oil
CoQ10.
Vit D3
Zinc.
Magnesium Powder.
I take most for heart health. I use the multi because I don't get enough greens in my diet. I take the extra b vitamins because I lack an enzyme for conversion of b vitamins and I need extra (some MFRTHR genetic something or other).
I'm pretty hard on my body by running long cycles, lifting hard and heavy, working so many hours, and I have generic shit going on.
Am I wasting my money? Or should I add something more?
Thanks.

AnonI have heard that Americans have the most expensive urine in the world . Im sure you have noticed too that certain vitamins do even make your urine a different smell or color. So the question is really what are you actually absorbing with all the vitamins you take ?
This is akin to that raw food and juicing discussion we had. The vitamin may indeed contain a tremendous amount of what you need but are you absorbing it or just letting it pass through ?
Basic info
http://www.livestrong.com/article/375429-definition-of-bioavailable-vita...
I'll list what I take it's a small list but it works.
+ calcium magnesium and zinc - low dose only for the zinc because zinc is hard to get in diet
+ CoQ10 - I have high BP in my genetics too
+ Potassium plus iodine - I'm hyperthyroid
+ multivitamin
that's it really. I can't take fish oil because it gives me the worst heartburn ever. too much magnesium and I get indigestion and stomach pain. I've tried the B vitamins and other stuff but that makes me sick to the stomach.
pretty much all supplements that cause side effects I don't take because well if my body doesn't like it then I don't need it
Bro years back I noticed that every once in a while my heart would speed up to where I could see my shirt moving. I started drinking this fiber called konsyl. It has heart healthy on the container. It hasn't happened since. I get it at Walmart. You should try it I drink it twice a day. It helps your digestive system too.
This site will search for the lowest price out there. But the big plus is that the site has a tool where it'll give you unbiased information on the supplement. (benefits, sides, dose). when you do a search

BigBmajThanks that's going to come in handy.
What do you take?
multivitamin, fish oil, D3, CoQ10
Used to take a lot more but figured a better diet was the best way to go.
BigBmajHow much CoQ and fish oil. As I said heart health is my primary concern.
120 mg of CoQ10 (with a diet of salmon and tuna and chicken hearts and liver -natural sources of CoQ10)
3 Grams of fish oil.
.
Check out the anti-aging group.Check out the vitamins at lef.org.The price isn't bad when you hit the super sale. The vitamins will help with deficiencies where as the gh will not.
AnonWhen it comes to vitamins the best ones are the ones with the most bioavaiable form
D3 is better than D2
What Zinc are you taking Zinc oxide is garbage u need glucanate or picolinate
List me the vitamin B complex forms
B6= P-5-P is the best pyroxidine HCl is garbage
B5= D-calcium Pantothenine is one of the best forms
When i mean best forms i mean the form that the body absorbs the most and doesnt pes out the majority i take all best bioavaiable vitamins and I NEVER pee Bright Yellow
BigBmajD3, Zinc Gluconate, and those are the b vitamins I take.
The multi I take is supposedly very good and bioavailable. Take a look at stop aging now and tell me what you think.
I also take a strong anti oxidant blend with green tea, goji, and pomegranate.
AnonThrow me the link i cant find it
BigBmajStopagingnow.com
I don't know how to post a link or make cool colors or post a picture in text, no skills in that dept.
Dont ;listen to people if you think it helps thats all that matters
BigBmajI can feel a difference. Especially with b complex, turmeric, and vitamin d.
I don't know if I'd take them if I didn't feel so good.
