Stubborn Calves

ad

Its shorts weather and pretty obvious to the world that my calves are lacking. My calves lag behind my arms by at least an 1.5 in. I have long legs and large quads so its even more obvious.

I know Arnold had smaller calves and he pounded them into 20 inchers, I've tried his protocols and can only gain quarter inch maybe half if I'm lucky. But at the same time the rest of me is growing so proportionally I look the same.

I ask people with great calves all the time and they almost always say "oh I never train them, was born this way".

Anyone else around here have smaller calves that was able to get some results? Its amazing how important good calves are to a well rounded physique.

Appreciate any help.

Calves respond to higher reps and volume. Train them more often than you are used to. Two to three times a week. Also if you are doing any cardio on a treadmill then do the whole session on the balls of your feet.

Had the exact same issue, took care of it by just hitting them extremely hard and with high volume. Only use rest-pause, dropset them and superset different calf exercises.

What also helped was hitting them every day no matter how sore they were.

Dude I have the same problem, biceps and quads all huge but forearms and calves all tiny.., genetics. Iv tried numerous things ie) working them out EOD, changing stances ( toes at 10/2, 11/1 and both toes pointing to the 12. I tried high reps, low weight and the opposite. I need a new approach also!!

Pound them hard !! Make sure you go all the way down and all the way up !! It may take yrs ? Don't give up and do them 3 times a week.
