+ 1 My tips for avoiding tren cough

ad

My tips for avoiding tren cough.
1. Do not heat
2. Use a 23g pin and go at the same or slower rate as a 25g.
3. If you taste weird or feel weird in mouth or jaw stop for a minute.
4. Sit down or lay down and relax as you inject.
5. Have a glass of ice water ready
6. I would not pin in warm environment. Must have AC
7. Aspirate
8. Take everything slow as you can. Get in a rush and you will screw up.

Even doing this I will get in a rush and get the cough. If you get the cough at least you are sitting or laying down and you have some ice water to sip on.

The reason for the 23g over the 25g pin is the velocity of the oil coming out is slowed down. Might not work for everyone but does for me. Try it. If you have something to add please do so.

White Bolt's picture

I don't heat my oils or aspirate but i do pin and inject slowly... and I only managed to get the tren cough once out of the 120 shots I did last cycle. Not bad statistics.

Nitti's picture

It's a good list. I am curious about the 23g pin theory? Why use a 23 and the speed/pressure you'd use at a 25g? Also, I think heating the oil is critical. I pin it cold and I always get the tightness in my chest. But I kinda enjoy it in a sick twisted way. Always aspirate , but that still won't guarantee avoidance. Pin a small muscle (delts /tris). I don't know why but I get it way less frequently than a glute /ventroglute shot. I use a 25g x 1". In the small muscles I cut the cap of the pin down to 3/4" and use it as a stopper when I have less control with one hand. It works great. But I go slow no matter what

finafan's picture

Not heating it up stops the fumes from traveling. 23g is just to slow the velocity down not rate. I still go really slow.

Greg's picture

I missed that one... Traveling fumes in the body?

When I soak my syringe in hot water (195 degrees) by the time I'm pinning I'm sure it's only about 92 degrees or less . Not sure what type of fumes would be created by the oil or the ester.

The reduced viscosity of the warmer oil disperses into the muscle faster and creates less PIP.

j223's picture

why do you put your syringe in hot water? I don't see why anyone would do that. I always pin my oils cold and never I mean never get pip.

The only time I've heated my oils was when I only had a 27G needle to draw with.

Greg's picture

Easier to push through a 25g and disperses better in the muscle.

I warm the syringe with the 22g draw pin attached and switch pins before pinning. I'll pin at times with the oil at room temp and get no PIP as well. PIP is not the big motivator.

j223's picture

disperses better in the muscle

I understand what you mean but why would this matter? Once that glob of oil is inside your body it is going to disperse anyways. It doesn't matter if it isn't immediately dispersed the 15 seconds you are injecting because it will post injection.

Warm the syringe doesn't exactly sound completely sterile, I would think that just exposes the needle to more bacteria.

Greg's picture

Again, I swap the needle post soak.
less "glob" equal less risk for abscess and tearing of the muscle.

...I'll take longer than 15 sec inject 2ml of oil

j223's picture

Tearing of the muscle? Isn't that what we try to do during every workout?

I usually inject 3-3.5ml at once 15 second injection never heated and never problems. I only inject 2ml if hitting triceps.

Swab the needle? That's a terrible idea because if you don't let it dry all the way then you get the alcohol in your injection which can cause pain and if you wait for it to dry you are at higher risk for contamination. The needle should NEVER be exposed unless literally seconds away from injection. The second you take that cap off the needle bacteria is much more exposed and you don't want to wait to long to inject or risk contamination.

Greg's picture

Tearing of the muscle? Isn't that what we try to do during every workout?

I can tear your muscle with a baseball bat, but somehow I don't think it's quite the same thing as the micro-tears we're looking for during a workout. ;-)

finafan's picture

Lol

OmNom's picture

I think he means swap the needle for a new one after he has soak the syringe in hot water.. not swab it LOL

j223's picture

oh shit I thought it said swab. lol oops sry greg I had a long day today. but I still don't like the idea of completely setting a syringe in water before injection it just seems weird to me 195 degrees are you sure this is exact greg? that's very close to boiling point especially if you live in high elevation sticking plastic in near boiling water then using that to inject yourself sounds a little risky to me? idk maybe I just paranoid when it comes to injections but it drives me crazy when I hear of all these stupid habits people do "blowdryer, heating oils, heating syringes, pinning slow etc" none of that stuff is necessary

Greg's picture

Water comes from a k-cup coffee maker set at 195 degrees. The syringe is not under water, only deep enough for the oil to warm up. I've never had a bruise, infection, abscess, or even a red mark from pinning.

OmNom's picture

Heating the high dosed stuff does help =D
If it's normal gear I wouldn't even bother heating it

finafan's picture

I heat all but tren. Not to stop pip but to make it easy and flow faster.

OmNom's picture

Same the thick stuff can be a pain to get through the needle and actually disperse evenly.. tren ace never has really bad pip to begin with

finafan's picture

Well I never use water. When I do heat it I will heat until liquid comes out the syringe. I rarely get pip. Especially from 1cc-1.5cc of tren.

x for later Smile

Roid Noid's picture

I kinda like it! I secretly get excited when pinning tren more so then anything else just because of the possibility, even though sometimes I feel like im gonna cough out a lung. there is just something about it that makes me feel strong! I surely wouldnt try any of this stuff to avoid it, but like ive said before im sicker then others.

finafan's picture

lol

gambit's picture

Sorry but there is a lot wrong with this. I mean i like the have water handy, but slow pinning, fast, doesnt matter. gauge info is wrong.

Ive gotten tren cough twice, a 3rd time on just test!

first u will feel the tickle in back of throat. if its coming its coming. its not that bad though but can last a few mins and u will feel tired a bit but snap out of it quick. first time is a little freaky but just remember its nothing and will end. be near toilet when it comes cause u may hurl. however dont kneel down cause frankly if feel doing this just will make ya wanna hurl more.

dont drink water for the first 20-30 secs cause u may just cough this up so wait a bit until its more under control.

u will feel like crap, stuff may come out of noise but srs man up and it will be over in no time.

the worst thing is if u have other around that dont know what ur doing (aas) and hear ya. i pin in bathroom and i ran the shower when i had the cough to try and hide it.

came out and said i sucked some toothpaste into lungs, blah blah.

again, feel like shit.

only thing i think that can break the cough early is have a puffer or something like it.

i also heard rumors about biting up a baby aspirin 20 mins before pin, but eh.

finafan's picture

I have had the weird feeling 30 times without getting cough. I did this by stopping the injection and waiting until that feeling went away and continuing slowly.

Boostedbody's picture

do you leave the needle in the injected spot or do you take it out and reinject in case you did start coughing?

finafan's picture

Leave it in.

ShreddedCheddar's picture

X2. 10 week contest prep and I've only had it 1 time so far. Very minor episode. Didn't even realize it was "Tren cough" till after I thought about it.:-/

ShreddedCheddar's picture

I shouldn't even have said anything cause I probably jinxed myself and will end up having a fucking semi-stroke of an episode. I'll make Anbro do it so I can blame it on her.

OmNom's picture

You jinxed yourself.. first I bragged about not getting it and got it.. it wasn't so bad the first time... then I got it again and it was hoooorrible. But it hasn't been so bad lately.. I don't even cough.. hope I'm not jinxing myself now LOL

ShreddedCheddar's picture

She pinned my right ass cheek last night and all was well. Got to do my left side tonight so we will see how that goes. You also may have jinxed yourself as well! 0_0

OmNom's picture

Pretty hard to get the cough from ass pins.. I always seem to get them from delt or quads (my quads are evil).. and no I'm still not letting my gf pin me.. especially with tren LOL

ShreddedCheddar's picture

I'm still to much of a vagina to do my quads. Maybe when I'm not doing a high mg blend I'll quit being a pussy....:-/

OmNom's picture

They used to be so easy but not anymore I keep hitting veins over and over.. out of all the places to pin I hate pinning them the most

GETBIG1988's picture

I like term cough let's you know you have the real deal man up son

Greg's picture

25g is smaller so rate is slower...

finafan's picture

volume is slower speed as in feet per second is faster.

Greg's picture

Only if you are pushing harder...

You're right, re-reading your post you are advocating a "flood" v. a "jet stream" Not sure how that would make a difference because as you describe it the volume would be the same.

I would think your point would be to pin slower to minimize the cough if you feel one coming on. i.e. less in your system.

finafan's picture

That is exactly what I am saying Flood it vs jet stream. Volume would not be same. The volume from 23g would be more.

Greg's picture

I'm still not following your logic to "flood" your depot is somehow going to prevent you from getting "the cough".

If I think of the muscle as a (dense) sponge and a vain as a vacuum hose (the heart is the vacuum or pump) near or in the area I'm injecting...

If I quickly flood the area before it has a chance to disperse, resistance will reduce the size (area) of my depot and increase the localized pressure until it disperses to to the drier area of the sponge. I also increase the odds that the nicked hose will draw some of that liquid off.

If I slow down and allow the liquid to spread, I increase the size of my depot, reducing the localized pressure, and subsequently minimizing any potential drawing off of any liquid.

Of course both of these scenarios assume that the nicked vain is not near the tip of the needle. In which case you are probably screwed either way.

In any case, I'd rather go slow and pull out if I feel the onset of a cough than to "flood" the area and be helpless as to stopping the amount going into my bloodstream.

I'm no scientist, this is just my opinion on the matter and how I try and minimize chances of getting the cough (and PIP by reducing stress and tears of muscle fibers and blood vessels)

finafan's picture

I'm not saying flood it fast. Still push slow. With a 25g pin the oil comes out like a rocket. I feel the 23g floods more even. If you have a water hose and you fill up a glass with water. Then you fill another glass with a spray nossle you would see the glass without nossle fills with less agitation. The water line will stay flatter.

Greg's picture

Personally I don't see how it'll make that much of a difference. IMO the 25g forces me to go slower and is more comfortable to pin with.

With your water glass analogy it assumes you are using the same water pressure...

This is really a non argument, what it boils down to is how fast you are injecting.

finafan's picture

Get same results by taking a week to inject through 25g

j223's picture

I don't really think it matters bro. I've pinned tren with 23G, 25G, 27G multiple times and I also inject pretty fast almost every single injection and rarely get tren cough

finafan's picture

You are getting lucky. When you get to the feeling in your mouth and avoid the cough then you have beat it.
