I'm a fight fan and I've always loved watching the UFC fights but they seem to be a little boring lately. Does anyone agree that it would be infinitely more fun to watch the UFC abandon the PED ban and take it back to the Vitor Belfort and Prime Rampage days?

I also miss the old ufc. In my opinion let everyone take steroids in sports. Who cares about some NFL player risking CTE to make 10s of millions a year. I would be more than willing to take that risk for that much money. Same goes for ufc. Before it was mainstream it was the best. I’m still a fight fan tho. Very excited for Strickland and khamzat this weekend. I hope they kill each other
I miss the old days of the UFC, for me that was 2005-2012ish. Before 05 I was too young, after 12 I think is when they made that big deal with fox. Definitely went downhill after that.

Lets face it friends. Everything is better on roids! Early days Pride & UFC. Football in the 70s and 80s when the Raiders & Steelers were juiced to the gills. The East German Women's Swim Team. With weight classes and current sanctions opening up PED use could drastically change the top level guys going against each other, but if it’s on an even playing field it very well may not. The examples we’ve seen of guys recently caught on them have often won, but also often lost. None of the fights had serious injuries or performances that were enhanced to the point of drastically changing the fight’s entertainment value imo, and that usually was with only one party having the advantage. Of course that is not saying there isn’t compounds that seriously increase performance.
I’d almost argue for a league that allows that, but bigger as a whole allows freak fights like Japan, Russia, and rare U.S. promotions used to put on! Zero weight limits, drug restrictions, gender restrictions, etc.
Like 400lb sumo vs 3 133lb guys, 200lb woman pro fighter vs 1 average guy, 450lb The Mountain vs 200lb pro fighter, bare knuckle, no strike restrictions, and more.
Allow them to risk what they choose. Of course with the current social environment I don’t think anything of the sort will ever seriously happen again anytime soon. No sponsors = no money. No platforms hosting = no eyes. I assume the current social climate just wouldn’t accept it or push it mainstream even if it was just knowing PEDs were involved.

I think sometime around 2015 testing became a big thing in the UFC. Prior I believe if someone was on "TRT" it was considered ok, with some test range limits. But yeah there were some obvious dudes on gear

I had never gone on a dive really looking at the side by side through the years! You know about it and hear about it, but seeing how drastic the “fight shape” changes even at the same weight class is definitely supporting your thought lol!
