heart burn and pct

ad

I'm currently doin a pct with Clomid nolva and aromisin. My question is I have terrible heartburn and thought bout taking prilosec otc(14 day treatment) Has any one ever used this during pct? I don't want to throw another drug into the mix if it can be harmful with the others. I would really appreciate any feed back as it feels like I'm having a heart attack it gets so severe

I alternate between Zantac 75 and half a shotglass of apple cider vinegar.

I like Prilosec OTC or any of the generic brands, at 40mg when I wake up. I take a Zantac 150 (again usually generic Ranitidine) about a half hour before I have meals that I know will cause issues for me. Usually red meat, peanut butter and some types of fish bother me. Also, I like a little Aloe Vera juice as well. Find it's very soothing for the stomach, give it a try.

Bro i have become the heart burn king the last few years, started having a lot of trouble about the time i turned 30. I take prescription strength prilosec, omeprazole, every day on and off cycle. Its basically 2 of the over the counter pills in 1. It's never effected my cycle or my post and i get bloods done regularly. U can take zantac twice a day if need be. One a.m. and one p.m. If its a regular thing ,go get a script. My insurance covers mine and I don't even have to pay for it. But the otc lasts about a week after u discontinue use, at least thats all it lasted for me. Hope this helps man. Oh and FYI, store brand is just as good as prilosec and half the price.

Thanks if this doesn't work I'm heading to the doctor for sure

I've used several heart burn remedies during cycles that gave me flare ups. I used Zantac, Prilosec, Alk Seltzer... Prilosec worked best for me, even though it ended up being the pricier of the bunch. I also stopped drinking any kind of carbonated drink whatsoever, even slightly carbonated water. I also watched my acidic food intake to minimize any flare ups, but once they happened Prilosec managed to relieve them relatively quickly.

edit: Pege is right, as Prilosec did need to build up in my system for about a week before kicking in. But take it daily and you should notice improvements.

Does prilosec last awhile after u take it says take for 14 days. Hence the 14 day treatment then what it just stops for awhile and u don't need it after that until symptoms come back

I just took it straight. Perhaps going over the 14 days wasn't advised, but I took it for about two months. I tried Zantac but I was literally popping them like candy. For me they would give me maybe two hours of relief at most. I think the reason they give for not taking it over two weeks is that it might be a more severe conditions (acid reflux, gastro issues, etc) and recommend consulting a doctor. I knew what caused it and just took it for the remainder of the cycle. The heartburn stopped once I came off
