Muscle car of your dreams!
ad
Mostly alpha males around here. Whats that one car that gets you feeling like a kid when you talk about it? The one you would drive everyday in a perfect world! It doesn't have to be a muscle car, mine just happens to be. 1967 Shelby Mustang aka Eleanor!

1956 Corvette
AnonI gotta say this is my second fav car after the shelby and of course my cobra..
Sadly, Eleanor was a Hollywoodized 'stang and not an actual production. That being said the one of my dreams would be a '68 GT500 KR Convertible 'stang. 428PI, 4spd (damned few of those made, and I know where one is at, a friends mom has owned it since new!) As for the movie Eleanor (the original Eleanor was actually a '73 Mach I) I picked up a '67 6cyl coupe a couple years ago that had a tree limb mash the roof that I am (slowly) making into a Eleanor convertible clone.
Anonthe original eleanor sucks ... I didn't like the original movie either.
I agree, the remake was better action-wise, altho the chase scene in the original was not a bad scene and when you consider when it was shot was pretty cutting edge at the time. As for the 73 Mach, it's not at the top of my list, but I wouldn't turn one down if it was given to me either!
On a different note, passed a CLEAN 72 convertible 'stang today! Only mods were the chrome tips on the exhaust out the back. Other than that nice and stock, just plain clean!!
AnonI guess I am just spoiled with my mustangs ...
Definately gotta love the 'stangs!!! My first car was a '67, 289 HiPo, 4spd and Cragar SS wheels
Interesting. So the original 67' is a nice pretty shell with nothing under the hood?
IIRCC, the motor sound effects during the chase scenes in the remake were actually from a big block 'vette. Altho a true GT500 would be big block powered, the majority of the clones are actually small block cars. The movie used a mix of BB and SB's as I recall.
tread-m69 Roadrunner, 69 chevelle, 70 chevelle, 68 vette...any will work.
irishpride79nice taste... 70 chevelle 454 big boy plum purp. w/race stripes amer. racing rims plain ones not the jazzy ones all the homies put on there muscle cars. bad ass whip right there yes sir
irishpride79but then again theres always a "judge"
tread-mThe JUUUUUDGE! Hellz yeah...
Any INDEED!! Sorry to the import junkies I respect them all but give me American Muscle ALL DAY!
tread-mYeah its hard to explain to my kid who loves the imports. I still remember sitting in the seat of a 69 Roadrunner with triple deuces and dumping that clutch...Fuuuuuuuu......you can't feel that in an import brother. The rear end was limited slip before my buddy welded the spider gears and the first time I dumped it that sucker did a 180 in about a half second and scared the shit out of me, was only about 18. They made cras back then too brother. He ran that bitch into the front of a convenience store one day as he pulled up and his foot slipped off the clutch, barely scratched it! Then years later he did total it. He was out drinking and cruising neighborhoods after the club closed and passed out and drove it through a house! Crazy story there was he ran it through the house of another good friend of mine and one called me and told me brother I got drunk and ran my car through a house. So a while later my other buddy calls and said "some crazY MFer ran a car through my house last night and almost killed me! Small world!
all fox mustangs in general from 87-93 both coup and hatch back and also love the sn95 (94-95).
Anonwe got an 89 fox body that we are putting some work on but otherwise it is mint..;-) needs a paint job and we are putting a new hood on it
oooh, they'r sweet. I love the way they look with a cowl hood and some weld racing drag lights OMG. You must have recently got it cuz I seen the pics with you and the (96-98?) cobra and didn't see a fox in those pics. That cobra looked nice too. I think I seen goth say he put a supercharger on that one, but I don't know if he was joking. Ive messed with mustangs forever and probably will do so the rest of my life. I just love those cars. I got 2 of them and my girl has 1 also
Anonthe one in the pic is a 95 cobra..super charger cam etc... only thing missing is the NO.. ;-) ... we've had the 89 fox body for a few years but it is not picture worthy yet ;-) we'll be working on that one and and another 95 gt convertible this summer
The tail lights threw me off. They must have been replaced with the 96-98 at one time. I bet its fast as hell. My 94 is carburated with a turbo, 5 speed, built small block, and sliks. If you guys ever run into some problems or have some questions about the stangs or just wanna talk cars, you can PM me anytime.
AnonWe d be happy too...:-)
X2 on the 67 mustang, that was my first car and the one I learned to drive in.
I remember the first ads for the Mustang, Maverick, and Pinto. They were about $2,000 new. I remember thinking to myself how easy it would be to save up for one of those...
69 chevelle ss
