Body fat %

ad

As I am closing in in the start of my first cycle I am carrying what I feel to be a high % of body fat. Not sure what it is exactly but if I had to guess I would say some where around 15% body fat. And that's just a guess not exact!! I will cut some of the fats out once the cycle is started but was wondering if a high body fat % would hinder gains while on gear?

Sounds like your winging it where your diet is concerned. Why wait until you start your cycle to dial in your diet?

Using a 1g per pound rule of thumb figure out how much protein you need to take in (don’t rely on shakes as your main source) e.g. 200g for 200lb body weight. This is your baseline. It does not change (unless your weight changes).

There are 4 calories per gram of protein.

If you’re trying to cut you should be getting 33% of your calories from GOOD fat; 33% from COMPLEX carbs; 33% from protein.
If you weigh 200lb that would be about 2400 calories total per day (800 from protein).

If you’re trying to bulk you should be getting 40% of your calories from GOOD fat; 40% from COMPLEX carbs; 20% from protein.
If you weigh 200lb that would be about 4000 calories per day (800 from protein).

Stay away from simple calories, e.g. sugar and processed foods.
Another rule of thumb: Don't eat it if it does not look like it just came from nature.

I'm sure others have their own ratios. What I've outlined above has worked well for me.

Eating alot of good food is hard some people think dieting is about restrictions ..its all numerical and mathematical ...its about eating enough of what type of foods ...I notice for my self I start my carbs off high and end with none for my 6 the meal...all my carbs are complex no fried foods and i easily walk around 10 12 % all year...and trust me I have shit genetics I used to be 52 percent bf so I've been to hell and back with dieting ..

Don't start until your at least 12...the difference between 12 and 15 can mean adding 5 pounds of pure muscle which can take months ...what are your stats?

I won't completely cut out the fats of course but for last few months I have been trying to add as much weight as possible. I use a lot of peanut butter which I'll cut out ( well not completely) and with breakfast I have 4 eggs 3 yolks and 4 whites. I'll cut the yolks out there. Also all the shity food I won't have either ( pizza, Chinese shit like that).

dont think you will be able to see the muscle as much..so it might look like nothing but gains will come
