Anyone Else found this??
Normally if I am going to be Lifting I will shower afterwards, or if I am just too shattered later on before bed.
But yesterday I had one after breakfast then trained about 3 hours later, often a shower before training can leave me feeling a little tired from the heat etc so I never tend to risk it! However yesterday it seemed to work in my favour - I found when it came to warming up and lifting I felt much more limber and almost already primed for lifting with no soreness and already feeling very flexible.
I can only assume this is because of the heat from the shower water and steam getting the circulation going in muscle more than normal.
Does anyone else find or do this as I seem to remember someone posting on this in the past and how it aids workouts?

RustyhookerHeat causes bloodflow via vasodialation. But i do am workouts then shower at midnight before bed...old habit. Adhd doesnt allow much sleep.
Post workout i uses to hit sauna. Increased bloodflow and stretching gets that lactic squeazed out...new blood in. Seemed to help soreness and speed recovery.
I know acouple times i had been tanning then right to the gym. Holly hell the vascularity was something amazing
Hey Bud - Good to see you back!
Have you been taking a break?
Being old, 46. I need that shower before the gym, especially in the winter. Hard to get warmed up properly the older i get!
Like you said especially in the winter. Nothing like getting out of a hot steamy ( no homo) shower and running out into the cold. Really gets the blood flowing
Cool Avatar!! Lol
Being very old now ( sixtyfuckingoneandahalf) I know I can't believe it myself haha; I don't stink of TNE anymore but the wife complains about the old man dribble that still smells like test and I havnt produced any natty for more years than I can remember hahaha
Just goes to prove most old Vikings probably stink of piss too hahaha
LMAO We will all get there one day Bud - or maybe not as I keep seeing guys running gear popping their clogs before they reach fifty lol At least you must be Rockin a great tan now in all that sunshine
I would assume old Vikings smell of many things, lol. Its all good, you've paid your dues at 61.5
Thanks brother
Not done yet, I don't\can't blast the iron anywhere near as hard as I used to do but I still have a yearning to train everyday or I just feel wrong! After 40 plus years on the circuit it's impossible to quit what I love and actually what made me, without gyms and weight training I dread to think what kind of person I would be now.
People ask me if I would do it all again........ The answers are yes yes yes and I regret nothing even though I am on certain medications now for yoyo dieting and massive ped usage for nearly all my life.
WOW...read some of your old posts etc. and finally on here to say hello!
Glad you're still getting it done and pleased to meet ya.
Well it sounds as if a few meds were worth the accomplishments you've made. Great your still not done. And quitting after all those years, I couldn't even see it being an option. Cheers
Awesome attitude brother! I absolutely love working out and don't plan on stopping or changing anything here either.
Molinin30246 next month for me, fuck.
RustyhookerYoungster! Happy early bday
Good morning old friend
Molinin302Thanks buddy, every year that goes by feels like five anymore. My 70s should be fun lol
46 is not old Halsey!! Compared to being 21 it is in our sport I guess but no one stays that age forever Lol
Sometimes it feels old! My best drinking buddy is my own kid, lol
I almost always shower after my workout so I've never really noticed but it does seem to make since it would limber you up.
I'll give the sauna a try tomorrow before I lift and see if I notice a difference.
Do it to the point where you are warm but not drained as such, I bet you notice a difference.
