Good info I'll give it a shot

Something that has worked best for me is Ziana, which is a clindamyacin and tretinion (retin A) gel mixture. I am not very prone to acne, but my last cycle I got acne on my shoulders, chest and upper back. I tried just about every gel and cream to get rid of it, but it just wouldn't completely go away. I found a sample of the Ziana gel and within a week, my acne started to improve. By week three, almost all of it was gone. Along with showering twice a day and using shower scrub, this worked for me and showed real results. I now have a tube of Ziana all the time.

T2, I got this from a prescription (dermatologist). There may be generics out there as well, since it's just a mix of an anti-biotic and retin A. I've never searched for it on the web, but I'm sure you could get it on some site out there.
Also, as I re-read my origian post, it kind of sounded like a commercial. Didn't mean it to be. It just worked well and I was pleased.

I've heard deff tanning. Benzifoam and also head and shoulders as a body wash. Nizaral didn't work that well for me. Hard to find in the states too. Also keep in mind I went to a dermo and was too much showering, or drying of the skin is a bad thing. The body treys to produce more oil when dried out. It's like a never ending battle

My current formula. Dramatic reduction in acne. I use it on arms, shoulders, chest, upper back. Nizoral alone was only partially effective for me.

Nizoral 2% shampoo
benzoyl peroxide 10% cream

In shower, wet skin and rub nizoral on to affected area. Then apply benzoyl peroxide and massage around area. Rinse off.

Careful, the peroxide can stain towels, clothes, hair.

Also, it is highly recommended to wash acne areas with soap after workouts.

I find when my acne is flaring my hormones are off and a blood test usually indicates i need to better control prolactin or estro. can i clear all of it? nope. but i know my body and its telling me something is off.

not saying u can fully clear it but i think with the right steps we can manage it much better.

I've never had this issue but I also hear too much of an AI as in low estro also causes acne.. thoughts?

OmNom's picture

I take it your aro isn't working so great? adex works great for me but I know of others who swear it does nothing for their estro.. Hopefully it works for you

OmNom's picture

Just something I was talking about with someone the other day.. In my experience running letro for slight gyno I had no acne.. maybe a bump or two but nothing.. the guy swore when your estro gets too low you should break out.. I'm thinking this is either specific to the person or his AI was total bullshit

I'd say they have access to products like ugl accutane (isotretinoin) or they just go to the dermo for pharma grade. I've tried both and pharma grade is hella better. It's not hard to get it from a dermatologist anymore, I've seen kids with VERY LITTLE ACNE and they got a script. I go to the dermo (I get severe cysts) and they just ran labs for lipid levels and other liver value before they scribe the medication and while you're on it.

I wouldnt recommend taking this but ive suffer from severe back / neck acne and it was gone within 8months clear as a babys ass. Take Accutane it will close the glands that produces oil and side effect like very sore lower back and chap lips and prolly damage liver

BrevilleBSJ600's picture

Was taking 10mg for the first month bump to 20, 40, 60, 80, and 120 for the last 2week. Btw in my experience the higher the dosage the better but not for your liver so start slow thats why it took me 8months to complete. Get prescription from your GP usually theyre subsidize or covered by insurance, dont buy the ugl they are way expensive than the pharmacy. In terms of result after 2months taking them youll feel shit its like acne just keep getting worse 3rd to 4th is the healing 5th and 6th is where the scar is actually disappearing slowly and 7th and 8th is just to get your full dose of accutane to make sure it wont comeback. This is all based on my experience some people take them only for 3months .

i honestly dont know since i didnt get any call from my GP usually they call you if there's a problem with your bloodwork which is done every month. The problem with over the counter medicine like benzyl is it only cures the spot where u put it to. No more side effects just chap lips. My gf takes them too but only 10mg eod and she have Hormonal acne.

epsom salts two cups if you want the full benefits of the salt bath ... you absorb the magnesium from the salts and magnesium is very very important in helping your body utilize what is secreted from the pituitary gland.

kodiakGRRL's picture

just so everyone can see .. its once a week for at least 20 minutes.. good thing i forgot to mention before was that epsom salt baths help to loosen the mucsle fascia .. you'll get better pumps

cmo25cent's picture

Epsom salt works good too. It takes a lot of sea salt to make the bath like seawater. I think at least a couple cups. I put one cup of Epsom salt in my bath and I don't soak no longer than 10-12 minutes.
