accutane
ad
i have a mild case of acne on my face and its really ugly to look at. i was my face with benzoyl peroxide 10% twice a day and use sylisic acid 2% also and its just not cutting it. on top of that im on this acne supplement called Acnetame. been on it for nearly 2 weeks and still no results. my goal is a completely clear complexion. how would 20mg of accutane EOD work? my source has them in packs of 40 so that would last me 80 days. should i go for it?

testaholicI used it once at HALF my prescribed dose. It cleared my skin up but it made my face so red and chapped that it looked worse! Plus it made my eyes dry as fuck and I was always thirsty, and my joints always ached. These were always all side effects I had and I only used it a month or so. Ill admit that since then I havent had anymore skin issues regardless of what I'm running but I still dont think it was worth it.
Anonyou guys below jus totally flipped out on this thread lol, jeez
AnonJust look into the sides of accutane... I'm not even going to dig up my old detailed post but to summarize it, I work in a hospital and have witnessed some of the horrendous ( are rare - but they still happen ) sides.... inflammatory bowel disease, ulcerative colitis, PERMANENT hair loss ( the kid I saw seriously had half a head of hair ) and of course liver damage among other sides you wouldn't ever think possible. This was all from long term use obviously.... if you are THAT desperate get minocycline ( IMO the best antibiotic in for acne ) and stay the fuck away from accutane. Seriously spend 10 minutes on google and read the horror stories....
OH, and doesn't disrespect grrrl smartass she knows more than you probably ever will. Her post was constructive there's no reason for that.
x2 ive used solodyn. i repeat, talk to a doc before u take any action.
AnonI would NEVER consider using accutane for mild acne.. EVER.. you need to get on a good program with a mild face wash that kills bacteria, a toner to balance the ph of your skin, and a good moisturizer to make sure you are getting to dry which will complicate your issue.. salicylic acid is a good choice to use you also need to make sure you keep your greasy mitts off your face.. so NO the accutane can not only fuck up your liver, it can make your hair fall out, you could go blind, etc etc etc..
e92why do you always post thinking you know it all? i appreciate the advice but i do everything for my face. benzoyl peroxide, sylisic acid, deep pore cleansing mask a few times a week and a good moisturizer. on top of that im using that bullshit acnetame product. im doing all i can for my skin and i still look like a preteen boy with the acne on my face. not cool
Anonshez giving you solid advice, take it and when you get older you will figure out that WOMEN DO KNOW IT ALL hahaha where have you been lol
Anonapparently you don't know what you are doing, and I do KNOW many things which seem to make you feel somewhat insecure.. furthermore, if you don't want advice then DON'T post in the general forum ... and since you wanna be a jerk about it you can take some time off and think about how you address people around here ;-)
That's out of line....no matter who you say it to.
My guess is she's going to see this and ban you for a spell-----mainly because I'm going to tell on you......HAR HAR!
Seriously Bro.....she's has used this stuff, it's VERY hard on your liver-----she was only trying to help you.
ask your doctor. not us
Keyword Accutane in the search box on the top right of this page and you will get tons of feedback on it.
Hopefully your research will change your mind about even considering it's use for mild acne. Don't know about you, but I need all the liver I got.
jasonhx2 this is bad stuff going to be lot of court cases over people getting messed up from it,id suggest leaving it alone
