My situation in the promo section
Update: After some helpful comments (especially from GetRippedOrDieMirin), I realize that what happened has happened. Karma was lost (unfairly, IMO) but that doesn't really mean anything.
I guess you guys are right. Some times mod get under certain pressure and sometimes moderating the site gets too hard.
I see that the best course of action is to let this one go.

As all of you know (at least the ones who know me from here) know that I'm nothing but someone who cares for this community. There's nothing worse than an individual calling me a troll for nothing but expressing my opinion.
Yesterday I posted a comment on a promo, I simply expressed that the promo isn't as good as other promos. I was faced with great hostility from one of the mods which lead him to knock my karma down by 10 points. Yeah, I know the sources pay to have their promos and lose money for offering free stuff and discounts, but that doesn't mean I'm not allowed to criticize. And, please, don't make this about cross-posting. If it's about cross-posting then the mod would have simply edited out the controversial part.
At the same time our News section is riddled with spam, some mods are running around chasing the dude expressing his opinion and calling him troll. That's unacceptable. Yeah, I understand that being here in this amazing community is a privilege, and I certainly treat it as such, but when you're faced with such hostility that privilege turns into a burden.
People posting in the wrong sections and people discussing sources in the forums, all of that is fine, no karma deducted. But say something under a source's promo, you lose 10 karma points.
Anyway, I learned my lesson. This shall be my last comment/post on EROIDS until the situation is rectified. I'll stick to what is safe from being accused of being a troll; I'll stick to watching.

I have, indeed, already let this one go. Other members already suggested that the mods are under too much pressure and sometimes they need to be tough, and I accept that. Shit happens, a man deals with them. I only get initially angry because I didn't know the whole situation and other members have enlightened me regarding the whole picture.
A man doesn't run from what he's done. I will not remove this to "hide" in shame. The mod overreacted, and I, in my turn, overreacted to the mod actions. I've created this post, and since then I learned better.
If you're incapable of understanding that people learn everyday and acquire information that changes their perspective, I'm very sorry, but that's the best I can explain.

I have an idea.... how about we send some random douche to slander/badmouth/ criticize/ whatever to your business or office or jobsite or whatever is your workplace to damage your reputation and threaten your livelihood and your family's well being if you have one and we will see if still find it as trivial as you pass it off. We have a special privilege here on this site to be informed consumers and assinine/ untruthful/ whatever comments compromise the whole purpose and mission of the site.
In what way did you think this post would have a positive effect? I'm afraid you are barking up the wrong tree. Just own the fact that you fucked up and move, 10 Karma? You are prepared to be ostracized and eventually banned over 10 karma? Really?

bigunHere is my deal: this site is a GODSEND. What were you using to find gear before you found this? What did you use to find out if a source was a scammer or if the gear was legit?
This place has been established to help everyone (at no cost to us I might add) make wise consumer choices on gear. You fucked up and got your nose thumped. Get the fuck over it. I never trusted gear from anyone, even in person, until I found this site. Never used anything until I found this site. I agree that this place is a blessing in itself. Following the rules is an important part of being here. Keeps a lot of people out of trouble. Financially, legally, and in quite a few other ways. I understand that losing 10 karma seems like a big deal, but it really isn't. You could get it back by posting a single picture. And karma doesn't really mean anything anyway. Just let it die down, brother.

In all fairness I don't think all my angst was from dude. Just been noticing a lot more of an entitlement mentality around lately like oh, you can't treat me this way or you owe me this bc I'm a member. Members don't run this site and I'm damn glad. Being here is a privilege not a right and we're all free to go back to some other bs site if we feel we've been mistreated.

I fully understand that cross-referencing sources is against the rules. I regret doing that and I will try not to repeat it.
The issue at hand is me being singled out for breaking the rules, at the same time the rules are broken by tens of members with no consequences. In that promo, the mod made it clear that issue is about criticizing the source's promo rather than cross-referencing two sources.
I feel that a simple comment with an edit to my comment would have reminded me about that part of the rules. But insulting me an deducting my karma was too much.
Quite interesting responses even on the personal level. I'm quite surprised to see such reaction.
I guess I had faith that I'll be responded to with reasoning and logic. To be honest, I still have faith in that.

While I tend to agree with you that my behaviour was borderline rude, I'd like to assert that it shouldn't have been ridiculed in that manner, especially by an official entity (a mod).

Should we ban everybody who makes a rude comment? I guess in that case we need to ban almost half of the members here on EROIDS.

I've been around for a while here and see how much shit they have to deal with and handle and that's not even what you see behind the scenes verifying sources and looking out for us so we don't get fucked. So maybe bodybuilder had a ba day and he might have reacted a little stronger than he normally would...it's certainly not an abuse of power by any means. I do not envy their job in the least

He didn't ban you. He took karma. 10 is kind of a lot, but it comes with the territory. It's all good, man. Two wrongs don't make a right, but three doesn't either. I'd just let it lie.
but honestly IMO you had no right to criticize his promo.. what if your comment cost that source x amount of dollars by just your comment alone? if that was you would you be pissed. the mods was just doing there job and they have thousands of members to check and keep in line so sometimes they have to come down hard.
Again, I absolutely understand that what I did wasn't exactly the optimal behaviour. If I were able to edit my comment there now, I'd more than happily edit it.
My problem is with singling me out like this, insulting me, then deducting my karma. I feel that a simple edit with a comment from the mod would have fixed the situation.
bro I have to agree, if you did not like the promo then why would you criticize it? to you that promo may not have seemed good but to others I am sure it did and your comment could have cost the source money by possibly making potential customers go someplace else and buy.

Well the mod kind of had a point, why would you even come into a sources promo thread if you weren't going to partake in the promo...just go to the other one or stfu. A source doesn't have to give any deal
And to top it all off your are. Little over 5'7 160 lbs and 19%bf...that means you have around 129lbs of lean mass, what are you even running gear from, your money is better spent on food

I also happen to respond quite poorly to stress training.
I don't use large amounts of gear, I use enough to sustain my levels. Each couple of cycles I try some PCT to "restart" my natural production but my doctors have always failed.
I'd like to assure you that I'm eating quite well, it's just that I was dealt a very bad hand in life.
My natty test levels were 327ng/dl before I touched anything...I'm 5'8...5'9 if I have my Mohawk up

As you all know, if bodybuilding teaches us one thing it'd be that everybody is different. I'd like to repeat what I already stated. My body doesn't respond well to stress training, even while under gear.
Do you have some auto immune disease? Or some other deficiency? If so I do apologize
