Flagging functionality
Many times I see bashing posted in the review section, or selfies posted in the gear section or vice versa.
It'd be really neat to have a flagging functionality to let mods know about stuff. That way, we'd crowdsource the whole eroids community to spot stuff. To combat abuse of this feature, there would be a flag-weight rating. When the mod handles the flag, he votes on it (helpful flag, or unhelpful/trolling flag). The more votes a user gets, the more important his flags are (he's more trustworthy), and karma could be factored here as well.
When a user abuses the feature (flags stuff that aren't supposed to be flagged) his future flags would be unimportant in the mods flag queue.
I don't know, just an idea.
Here are some examples of stuff that needs mod attention and it would have been nice to have the flagging functionality to deal with them:

- Supplements in the self-pic section: http://www.eroids.com/pics/mad-supplements-haha

Mike1982I understand your idea but I'm not sure if it would be good to implicate. There isn't much bashing on review pages as its for reviews and if someone leaves a review just to bash someone its usually picked up pretty quickly. The bashing is done mainly on the source page and sometimes in the forum. And we can't hit someone up bad for gear in a self pic section, it could just be misplaced. We have to be able to separate the real bullshit from the petty. I'm all for becoming a more tight knit and vigilant community but we can't take away the power of the mods. If power is equally distributed then their power diminishes and they are mods for a very good reason. Again I see what you are saying and its an idea BUT the mods are in a way overwhelmed and we do have to help as a community but we can't take power away from them. I'm not saying your implying we take power away but if we create more systems then we are crewting more need for oversight. Ok I'm getting carried away, my entire point is instead of implementing the system you are proposing all we need to do is pm a mod and let them know. That's all. If you see someone being bashed for no reason or something "out of whack" just send them a message and let them know. We don't need a system for it. Like I always say I'm a nobody here and I know you mean well but we don't need an entire system when all we need is a PM. Have a good one brother and thank you for your contributions.
Please don't think I'm downing or attacking you because I see where you are coming from. Cheers my friend.
Oh, not at all, buddy. I fully understand where you're going. While I don't disagree with you, I feel I need to explain a couple of points.
Think of the flagging functionality as a mod-global PM. It's just a way to "poke" a mod and get their attention for a post. No actions are done by users themselves. So instead of PMing a mod, the flag button would PM (not really PM, but notify) all the mods. When a mod resolves the issue, the notification disapperas.
As for misplacing posts and photos, the flag will just tell the mod "Hey, check this out". The mod will come and move the pic to appropriate place. That's all.
Again, thanks for your input. It's much appreciated.
Mike1982Ahhhhhh I see where ur going with it. Kind of like instead of sending the pm there could be just a small flag button somewhere that can notify a mod automatically. Now I think I like the idea hahaha. It's always good when level heads can understand each other. I gotcha now brother. Point taken and understood. Good call on that self pic though. Looked it up on the site you referenced and a couple others and that was definitely a good callout. If that was him the pic wouldn't be from a 2012 comp and he would know better to cover his face from the beginning and also with a physique like that would seem to have all the knowledge he needs.
