I can’t buy the story that anyone planned against his life/honor… he made his own path, and it caught up to him.

I read that case and it sounded like his ex gf set him up kept going to police and saying he was a pedo then brings his laptop in saying there is child porn on it. Then she was caught sending images to his computer and saving them. Then the police arrest her for putting the images in his computer. Sounds suspicious to me
I am sure he did some of it one way or another, but so much seems to rest on the words of his 'Ex Girlfriend - and when it comes to ex girlfriends they will literally say and do anything to get back at you, nothing surprises me when it comes to vengeful women. You wonder in the end whether there was just so much evidence against him that he couldn't explain, whether its just easier to accept the lesser charges that he admitted to.
The problem I had was that she was caught putting the images on his computer. That’s what makes me so suspicious.

I find this whole story quite sad really, I was a huge Lost Prophets fan when I was younger. A couple of the albums that came out around my 20's remind me of some amazing times in life when things were really getting going and on the up in most aspects. Fake sound of progress was awesome and I became totally obsessed with that song, then everything that followed. When he was initially charged and in the papers I just didn't believe it as its hard to think someone you have listened to for hundreds of hours has done these things. Its only because of the actual evidence in court and the apparent no remorse he showed throughout the trial that you have to in the end. You wonder how such a talented guy who had so many fuckin women throwin themselves at him constantly could be even into such evil twisted shit.
In the end he got 29 years in jail, and a further 6 on tag when he gets out and totally destroyed his career. When you consider the fuckin pitiful sentences you see some people get who have beaten up 80 year olds walking their dogs and literally killed them, who only get 4 to 8 years of which they do half he got more than enough punishment for his crimes and his life is effectively well and truly over if he got out. Surely in this day and age if you are locked up in prison effectively in a secure environment - then how the fuck can people just play judge and jury in there (who are already law breaking fuckin criminals/murderers themselves lets not forget) and just go around killing people slitting their throats? I find the whole thing saddening, such a waste of his life when the guy himself and the band were such a rare talent.
I love that prison takes care of these sickos. Hopefully they made his life hell everyday before putting him out of his misery. A dead pred can’t reoffend. These people cannot be reformed.
Exactly. When people say "death was the easy way out" is nonsense. Just like you said dead people cant re offend or get out on some technicality down the road. You house them for life it costs the tax payers millions and they get served hand and foot daily, food served not having to do dishes, they do his laundry, and he never pays an electric or cable bill for the stuff he is using. Death is the way!

This is crazy, I was just listening to The Fake Sound of Progress like 2 weeks ago. Had no idea he was even in prison or what happened. Kinda shocked honestly.
Good. Fuck that guy. I hope the few seconds he was alive while getting his head sawed off with a prison shank was the most painful and miserable experience he has ever had.
I'm sure his life was hell for the last 13 years in prison. I kinda wish they'd have waited until the day before he got out. And there were still women sending him love letters and pictures of their kids even after being thrown in jail for molesting infants! Wtf?
Doubt it, those guys are generally protected while in. Their weak points are during transits, hearings, etc when they come out of their routine. He had money so he probably was paying out commissary to keep from having his shit pushed in since day 1
I've known several people who did time in the prison he was in, its one of the worst ones in the UK - very old school. In UK prisons if you are a sex offender of any kind, especially a paedophile then you may as well have a crosshair painted on your back because they will come for you at any point on any day they can - gaurds are always in on it too and simply turn an eye. Rapings etc don't really happen that much, its more people having boiling liquids and sugars thrown on them and having their throats slit with tin can lids and shanks.
