Leather Ass

ad

Anyone ever have trouble sticking themselves in the ass? No homo. Like sometimes the needle just won't go in and it feels like your outer layer of skin is 1 inch thick like an aligator.

Anyone else have this trouble. Do I need to lotion my ass prior to injections?

RazorRambo24's picture

Think of a dart motion rather than pushing it in. Most any needle will go right in if you dart it in rather than try and push it through. But yes, the brand and maker of the needle are very important... You'll find stuff you like better and worse over the years and when you find a good one, you tend to stick with that.

Greg's picture

I've bought needles that were not BD and they were dull as hell, sometimes they had "barbs" (bent or flattened tip), often times barbs (bent tip) would form after drawing, other times when recapping and allowing the needle to touch the side of the cap as it's being sheathed.

Rosschestzip's picture

Ya I always buy the cheap Chinese ones because i through about 200 a month and I don’t wanna pay more than 20$ a box but BD is king!

Edit: I just found BD 90 packs for 22$, this whole damn time I’ve been using a sharpened Chinese stick to inject , instead of those beautiful smooth BDs.

Yep. I’ve had many dull needles right out of the box. Hard to puncture and hard to pull out.

Rosschestzip's picture

Idk if everyone already knows this but when pinning the “open” side of the very tip of the needle needs to be facing up, it makes a difference.

I got to hear the logic on this for intermuscular injections. If you are going at a 90 degree angle why would it matter? Legit question.

If you are doing an IV or shooting heroin I could understand perhaps.

I can almost garuntee every nurse out there when giving IM injections is throwing darts like its saturday night at Hustler Club and has no idea if the bevel is up or down or side.

Rosschestzip's picture

I always am curious about this too. If I was to hang upside down should I flip the needle?

Your probably 100% correct, it’s probably for IV, but for me it seems to hurt less. Maybe it’s all in my head

TheIcon's picture

I vaguely remember reading up on IVs and overhearing it during blood donation when the lab techs there talk. But in all honesty I never have ever thought or really taken it into consideration with IM. But after you brought it up i had to think and really not sure i see why.

Even with IV or Blood its a bit hard for me to understand

Rosschestzip's picture

It’s probably with iv just so it sprays the medicine more smoothly up the vein and doesn’t go against flow? But when you think about it the vein is a cylinder so there is no “up” it’s only up because our head is up here, so like you said, I can’t really see a difference

Edit: I think we’re imagining it that your pushing the needle perfectly perpendicular, like straight on, but your probably not, you usually go kinda pointing up and therefore it probably does make a difference and makes a slightly smaller hole initially. Idk

Drexyl's picture

It’s only a concern for IV injections or draws, not IM or sub q. You want the bevel up when dealing with vascular work as it’s all about angles. With the bevel down in order to get the full face of the needle into the blood vessel or vein, you’ll be running the risk of piercing the other side of the blood vessel. Bevel up allows the full face of the needle to be inside with much less risk of a rupture.

Rosschestzip's picture

Bevel! That’s the word!!

And yes that Makes sense, but just for comfort reasons it feels like it has less resistance piercing the skin if the bevel is facing up. I could just be imagining it but it seems easier to me

Yes it makes a diff for sure and syringes off amazon suck ass. DULL!!! West end medical supplies always always has the sharpest smoothest I've been able to find.

UncleYoked's picture

You gotta harpoon it like you're trying to spear moby dick. A warm shower before hand can help too. Probably better to rotate locations for a bit and see if it can heal up, you can try breaking up the scar tissue as well.

DeeMan's picture

@TheIcon yess I know that leather scar tissue feeling and I hate it. Some say it can be broken up but if I were you, just try and find another location which you probably are doing now

TheIcon's picture

Yea I always roatate. Left butt cheeck, then Right butt cheek, then right delt then left delt then start over.

Thought about Quad but hear to many bad things. I know I know someone will chime in and say they never have had an issue. Smile

DeeMan's picture

Good deal

Chad P's picture

Exactly what I do. Even eod injections gives each area an 8 day break.

I've heard ventrogluteal is one of the top spots as well I've just never tried.

Black90tsi's picture

Those are the 6 locations i use. There's just so much real estate on your quad to move around on. I have found a couple spots that must have nerves right under the skin as they're pretty painful. But other than those areas which i know to avoid now i have no issues at all.

Rosschestzip's picture

I’ve never had an issue…. Just kidding, I don’t think I’ve ever touched my quads and don’t plan on it

It may behoove you to take a class or two. Listen bro, I’m not saying this to be an asshole, but your local community college may offer classes that could help you. You don’t have to enroll into a degree program, but take some anatomy and phys courses. Maybe enroll in a program so you can learn proper injection protocols. Share your knowledge with others. I’m seizing the opportunity right here to turn a troll post into something useful. Clean your injection site and flick as much air out as possible. Be deliberate with your injection, and swab with alcohol after.

This is funny lmao but also accurate advice lol. @Drexyl = king (emoji)

not trolling. my humor may come across as trolling perhaps. trying to keep it light when talking about my hard ass

DeeMan's picture

Lol my bro I don't think he's trolling. How are you figuring he is lol? I've had this very same issue with that "leather type" scar tissue upon injection. It's a result of repeated injections in same spot.

Now the lotion on his ass has to be a joke though.

Drexyl's picture

I like to err on the side of caution lol, hear me out my bro. Clean the injection site thoroughly, use a freshly unwarapped needle different from the one you drew the medication with. Clean your injection site again, and inject slowly. Leather ass is scar tissue, scar tissue occurs from a few different scenarios, but proper injection technique is very important. These classes aren’t very expensive.

bigred250's picture

Injection “TRT” 101 right here ladies and gentleman do not mistake. If you’re hittin it subq switch to lats, delts, or glutes…. Those are the ones I switch through

lol dude I know how to inject. appreciate the life lesson.

lotion was a bit of a joke however hydrated skin is easier to puncture then dry skin.

As long as you’re sincere, and not a push the man panties to the side kind of guy, we’re good. Lmao, this went gay hard lolol

Lolol you gotta excuse Drexyl!!! He's just concerned that's all

Drexyl's picture

Absolutely

DeeMan's picture

Lol my bro c'mon now you know I'm up on these certain things but yes you're right. All those things you've mentioned I've done and yet I've still hit scar tissue. It happens my man trust me. You can literally feel that scar tissue. It can be rough.

Drexyl's picture

It stops the needle sometimes, then ya hit a nerve or blood vessel and shit squirts when it’s withdrawn. When the needle goes in be deliberate and finish the job. Those squirters are from blood vessel damage and withdrawing the needle. Be deliberate. As deliberate as I was at 11 when I had to convince my mom to buy me the Run DMC album when I was 10. King of Rock, you know the one…

DeeMan's picture

Lol you went back to the Run DMC days! Wow. Yea man if I ever injected and withdrew followed by blood squirts I'd be freaked the fk out! Luckily I've been lucky and sort of know what I'm doing. Now I always feared hitting a nerve but like you mentioned you gotta know those specific nerve locations. Still freaks me out though...the nerves

Drexyl's picture
TheIcon's picture

exactly. I do each of these everytime all the time.

Drexyl's picture

Not going to clog up the thread, but go get an injection or blood draw for anything. Must be administered by a RN or a practitioner is a physician is not present. Sterility practice is always observed. Do yourself the same justice at home, that’s all I’m saying. Along with my 6.765388853 dick. It’s like Pi doubled. There’s no option for Pi. Just realized that. Can do an eggplant, water squirt, and chocolate donut, but no Pi.

TheIcon's picture

I tell people all the time. Pins are cheap. Alcohol wipes are cheap. When in doubt switch it out. No point jabbing yourself with a dull needle or can't remember if you cleaned a surface, when it costs pennies and you can get 100 at a time. Im one of those better to be safe then sorry. I even alcohol wipe the table im working on first.

DeeMan's picture

A good ole cheeseburger sure sounds helleva good right about now!

It's all good man. Better to be safe than sorry. You know I'm all for safety

TrenAThor's picture

I've had issues especially in my right glute that when the needle is in it would be hard AF to push the liquid in. Then after I was just cruising for like 4 or 5 months it's better now. I think it is from scar tissue like some have said already. Sometimes it will like crackle to in some spots it sounds disgusting and not something you want to hear but I can still inject

press1's picture

The scar tissue will of healed up whilst you were on cruise mission lol Its all about finding those areas that will still accept oil okay after so many years of injecting, when you tend to get lumps thats also a sign the oil went into an area where there is a lot of scar tissue build up and oil dispersal is slowed and affected, especially with longer thicker esters.

Just for why most of us came on here in the first place:

Im more of an ass man. Sit on my face. Squirt on my chest. Get nasty. I want that brown eye dragged over my face like you are lining baseball diamond.

From my experience - toe sucking isn't all that great. I would rather bury my face in that Ass with or without her trousers on ....

Toe sucking very rare for me also
But sometimes when there all painted up and sticking out of those high heels and a few margaritas. Shiiit im in
