Banned Peptides

ad

So whats the news on "banned" peptides. Seems FDA is coming down on some popular ones like BPC-157 etc etc. Although I can't seem to find any straight forward answer as to if they are "banned" or not. Seems some peopel say no its only banned in compound pharmacies. then others are like its not a class 3 its a class 2 drug now. so much garbage to filter through.

Bottom line Im not much a supporter of the FDA any longer. My wife works in the food industry and I see alot of behiind the scenes of what the FDA assumes is "safe" and what other countries refuse to use. To me we are in the Era of money money money more so than ever. If drug companies can't make money off it lets ban it. Or lets ban it and then sell it for 4 times the price.

I agree there is a lot of money behind what the FDA approves and its hard to trust them. I remember the food pyramid when I was in school recommend like 2 loafs of bread a day and not much protein....diabetes city lol

From what I understand from a couple buyers of bulk peptides they all come from China and distributed in the USA but it sounds good to say made in the good ole USA

Only a few more weeks to order BPC, IGF, Ipamorelin, and AOD. The FDA will no longer allow it…..

It really is a shame for the industry. There is so much research-backed evidence that many peptides are safe and effective.

I cant imagine them going away neither. Its just a new market change.

I read awhile back that it's hard to ban or regulate most peptides because they are just a chain of amino acids that make them. That's more towards FDA. WADA has its own thing. I don't if that was true. It's just what I've read. Also this is months ago so idk I anything has changed since then.

Thats was going to be a comment I made too. I see no way they could ever completely ban it. Thats like banning protein because it has aminos in it. sure its a chain which is a little more advanced but its not really a "drug"

TrenAThor's picture

Yeah I don't see how either but who knows in the future. It is the FDA and they pretty much do and get away with whatever they want. Like how they are trying to regulate NMN cause it works and they want to capitalize on it. It's insane.

This has been going on for years. It is a shame.

Some compounding pharmacies will no longer be allowed to produce and distribute them, but not all of them. This is just for human consumption. Nothing from peptide websites are regulated for human use anyways so to my knowledge it’s not applicable there.

Ultimately I agree with Drexyl below. It’s pretty rare that I will prescribe any peptides as there is not a lot of good research to support their use. If patients request something specifically I will educate them on the potential risks and benefits and help them make an informed decision.

It’s my opinion, and only my opinion, why? These are classified as research medications. Drugs such as testosterone, deca, dbol, even GH have been around for a long time. What we do is not risk free. If you get yourself in trouble a physician will be able to help you if you’ve been using drugs that have been around for seventy years. There’s just not enough trial and error with the peptides at this point for me to be comfortable with using them. In addition you’re going to get much more bang for your buck with the proven androgens and anabolics. Just my two cents bud.

That’s my thoughts on it too. Same with recreational drugs, vaping and medications. Some may be bad for you but we know what they do and what to expect, new weird chemicals we have no idea what issues they are going to cause especially long term. I’d rather trust the evil I know then the one I don’t or however the saying goes lol

Those are Anabolic steroids buddy for muscle building, peptides are more along the lines of injury healing and tanning compounds etc. There are quite a lot of proper studies on things like TB 500 and BPC 157 online if you have a look.

I don't see what the difference is. Peptides fall in the gray area where they are legal for research but not for human consumption, so either way if for some reason they open your mail and you have bpc or a so called legal peptides, they are all getting taken anyway. Most of what we use is all illegal so it's not making much of a difference other than if it's illegal, sarm and peptides websites won't sell it anymore but you are a member here so you can still easily get it .

Yea I mean for most people it won't make a difference as of now. However I know many people like to go the straighter path. Such as my welness clinic offers peptides for various things. But liek you said most of us on this site and others can still get them.

I was more just interested in what the ruling was on peptides since I couldn't seem to find a direct answer before. I will say this I think it is just another step by the FDA to controlling more. As I mentioned in my post im not a big supporter of Big Pharma and the FDA. Hell I work for the Fed Gov. I got all kinds of stories I can tell you about our tax dollars Smile

I never knew that wellness center would prescribe bpc 157. I know they can prescribe peptides like tesamorelin and hcg and things like that, because they are approved peptides for medical use. Like dude above said almost every peptides is basically a research chemical that's not approved for medical use.

Mine has a whole string of peptides available to us. BPC-157 they recommend 2 months. $350. I asked previously because my shoulder was in pain for months.

Bought from my own supplier. Did .250mcg for roughly 21 days and I was good. But yea the welness center I go to has atleast 15.

Actually here is the list from my welness center:
AOD 9604
BPC-157
GHK-CU (Injectable or Foam)
IGF- 1 LR3
Ipamorelin w CJC 1295
Melanotan II
Ibutamoren Men & Women)
MOTS
PT-141 Injectable & Nasal Spray
Sermorelin w Ipamorelin
Tymosin Alph 1
Tymosin Beta 4

Nice list! I'm a big believer in the benefit of BPC-157. About 5 years ago I experienced a partial bicep tendon tear and I got an MRI to confirm and my Doctor buddy wrote me a script for BPC. I took 500 mcg a day for about a month and got a follow-up MRI and the doctor was so impressed! He told me that my tendons looked like thick ropes and it had completely healed with no evidence of injury.

FlemDaddyKush's picture

That's a pretty crazy wellness center prescribing igf1 Lr3 lmao

TheIcon's picture

Yep that stands out to me. No clue price on that one. like Mac said I'm sure it's more than $350 if bpc157 was $350

Dragoon's picture

I pay between $62-$86 for bpc-157 10mg. there are some that are way cheaper but not much info on the company and there doing. There are tons of usa made peptides sites.

Mac12769's picture

And I’m sure their prices reflect that as well….
