Yeah, definitely not something ya ever see coming. We don't realize that it can happen to any of us, until it happens to you. Never can be too precautious. I advocate for anyone and everyone to get themselves checked out. I'd rather know and be able to do something about it, than to get blindsided and have it take me out.
Def a humbling experience for me! It's a very surreal experience that's for sure. We think we're invincible sometimes. Trust that is not the case. Lol

I must admit I was pretty scared waiting for the results, but like many people said to me worrying won't change the result. If it comes back positive then thats the time you get on and deal with it - did you have radiation treatment?

No radiation thank God! Two surgeries and 8 rounds of chemo was bad enough. Shit takes a lot out of you.

To be the best version of me possible mentally, physically and to be healthy to hopefully enjoy my life with my family and close friends. I compete with no one but myself in Gym if I improve strength, aesthtics , mobility and feel good for it I’m winning. I’m a guy in the gym and life who is happy to see others succeed and progress hate the culture in this era of people trying to drag others down out of jealousy and cause they feel shit inside and only being interested in how many likes there gym video gets them. Community on here is refreshing compared to the widely negative toxic culture in the world these days keep up good work of propping others up and helping them with your knowledge much better use of our energy.

You have 2 different types of people in the world buddy - those who will try to emulate the sucess of others by trying to learn from them, gain knowledge and by putting all their effort into achieving the task and then you have others who will just try to drag them down and pick fault with what they have achieved, often trying to claim they would of achieved the same thing had they had xyz available or done this or that. Being negative will never get you anywhere in life.

I bet these become age-appropriate responses. Number six will be the default for those over 55. Number 5 for those 30 and younger...

Do you think the reason as to why you lift changes as you get older? Do you care less about being in shape and strong and more about longevity and fitness as your lifting career progresses?

Greg's picture

For myself at least, yes.
