+ 4 Keys to the Kingdom

ad

I wanted to share a nugget of wisdom that has taken me until almost 40 years of age to realize. A little background...A decade or so back I thought I was right where I was supposed to be, doing exactly what I was made to do...ENTER an unforseen/career ending injury that erased 20+ years of hard work & derailing my dreams as a professional athlete. I somehow managed to get a degree in education along the way & reluctantly began coaching & have done so ever since, wasting years being bitter about things I was unable to control. Fastforward some time & the gift of Fatherhood offered me a chance for redemption...I began coaching my Son & through this process I rediscovered the inner athlete inside that had been buried many years ago. The process has led me back to the things I truly love: training, hard work, & obsession with perfection. It has led me to being in the best shape of my life (at almost 40) & the privilege of being a Dad/Coach of a teenage athlete with plans of being a pro...Encouraging him to grind in the gym & joining him in the pain & purpose found there & the journey of it all is a beautiful thing. I wanted to encourage those who work harder than the rest, those who push just one more rep, those who run an extra mile & those who LEAVE IT ALL ON THE MATT...those unlike us won't understand why or how we do it? Our response is & always will be...bc it can't be done (YET)...until it's done! Keep digging, breaking records, leading others to do the same, & work to perfect what's imperfect...without pause...without regret. HUA!

I Agree wholeheartedly buddy - give it everything you've got and more if you truly have a goal you want to reach. Never ever give up no matter how many times you get knocked down, its how many times you are willing to get back up that will win the fight. I watched the new Sly Netflix Documentary last night and his whole vision is very much like this, its a great watch and he is an extremely intelligent human too - honestly he makes Arnie sound like a fake when you listen to him talk.
