Blood pressure (Anavar?)
Hello everyone,
I am 6 weeks into my cycle and my BP is 173 over 99 which is kinda high.
Current cycle is..
300 test e per week (1 to 10)
Anavar 50mg ED (3 to 10)
Iv done previous cycle of 600 test a week and my BP was never this high.
I was thinking about adding in some aspirin daily but wanted to see what everyone’s thoughts are…. I kinda think it’s var related but idk. I do my value health so I’m not opposed to dropping the var “if needed”.
I did get blood before this cycle and everything look amazing I guess I can share if needed again just looking for opinions and maybe someone that has been through something similar so that I can make an educated decision.
Thanks to everyone

Damn brother that's pretty high!!
What was it like, felt like shit I suppose right?
I didnt even notice symptom wise. I only knew the numbers because i work in a nursing home and my OCD makes me check all the time or i would have went to my physical and doctor would have freaked because i definitely aint telling her im on the sauce.
Without wanting to scare people, about 2 years ago I blacked out and fell down the stairs. Ended up with a load of stitches in my head and ever since I’m on 2 different types of BP medication. I felt fine, but was walking around with BP of around 160/120, and probably had been for ages. Gotta take better care of ourselves whilst we are playing the steroid game.
We sure have to brother, that shit ain't no joke!
For sure mate for sure, I was running 160 / 95 for a long time without realising it too. Only when I had my BP taken in hospital when I went in for a hamstring tear and they took it did I realise! I was like Jesus Fing christ 160??!! What meds do you take - is Ramipril one of them on script?
TricepatopsIt is called the silent killer because by the time you feel S/S you already have done a bunch of damage.
Ramipril and Lercanidipine. Both prescribed.
I take Rami too - High Five!! Lmao
Hey Question for ya bud as well as anyone else here - How do your Liver ALT and AST look while on BP medications, do you find these raise them at all? I have researched this for hours with long term use and some studies say they can do and others say not?
Mine are fine. I had slightly elevated ALT with a different BP med when I was first diagnosed, (Amlodipine), but they changed it as had a few other side effect issues, (swollen feet etc). No issues since personally. To answer your question though, absolutely can do. No doubt about it.
Fuck it that's the sillent killer right there, if in your place was some other guy or you didn't work in a nursing home this may have gotten bad brother!!
If you’re getting BP readings consistently of those types of numbers, you need to drop the Anavar immediately. At that level you’re in danger of causing heart damage such as LVH long term if you continue.
All steroids cause raised BP, but Var does tend to cause more significant issues for some. I’m assuming your BP was ok before you started your cycle?
Never had any BP issues with var, with drol yes, I know that we all react differently but how can be from a compound that doesn't cause water retention...
Ya my BP was 115 over 74 before also I wouldn’t say this is a consistent reading because I just started taking it today because I fell off
Should always take a couple of measurements as some of these hone BP monitors are near enough random number generators at times.Drop the Anavar if the readings are similar mate. Your plan to use it for 7 weeks was harsh anyway, now it would be ridiculous to continue. Need to see your BP dropping, which it should do fairly soon without the Var. It isn’t worth the risk.
Thank you so much, I will be dropping the var as of today and I will post back most likely daily to let this post know if my BP is dropping I guess I might as well go back to my TRT dosage of 50mg of test a week. I guess this is the end of my cycle dam
Let me know how the BP is 24 and 48 hours later. Hopefully will have calmed down significantly l.
So it turns out that I was using the cuff wrong, my wife correctly did it this morning and it came in at 131/95 this morning…. Way better but the second number still kinda high but it’s not 175 over 99 lol
That’s definitely an improvement. Glad it’s better than you thought.
No thank you for taking the time to comment, I have decided to continue my cycle and to monitor it to get a larger data set and if it increases any more, then my wife is going to make me stop lol.
Important to know who wears the trousers in the house. I find if I do as I’m told, sometimes she lets me borrow them ;)
Haha I get to wear them sometimes, I just scheduled blood donation for today as well. No idea if that will help at all but I’m doing that over training today lol
