+ 1 Benefit of increasing test
ad
I've been running 250 mg of test C for the last 4 months and this typically gets my testosterone up to about 1650. I have also been using four iu of GH daily. I'm about to cycle off of the GH and start a bulking cycle where I'm going to try and do a clean bulk. I'm wondering if going up on the testosterone to like 350 or 400 would be beneficial for hypertrophy or if it's just not worth the trade-offs in side effects.

Are your posted stats correct? 20% body fat?
The difference between 250mg and 350-400mg testosterone per week will be negligible.
A bulk of any sort will require you to eat in a surplus, and you will unavoidably gain more body fat and have a higher probability of estrogenic side effects, elevated blood pressure, cardiovascular strain etc the higher it climbs.
At 5'8" 207lbs 20% body fat either you're,
In either scenario, you should cut first. If you're already fairly muscular, and you cut to 10-12% you will look heaps better than gaining 10-20lbs from 20% body fat. Once you get fairly lean, your body will be in a much better position to bulk.
I would keep ur test at 250/wk, get in a deficit, keep your lifts focused around intensity and monitor your measurements religiously/progress photos etc. As the fat comes off and then you start becoming catabolic, as long as bloodwork permits THEN increase the test to maintain what you have.
No it's not correct. I need to figure out how to adjust it. I'm at 14% body fat.
So you're already highly muscular and fairly lean?
Can only base things off what you're saying, and if that's the case then the sort of "standard" blast dose of test is 500/wk. You're in your 40s (so am I), so keep an eye on your blood pressure and keep on top of your bloods and all should go well for you. Make sure you keep an AI on hand in case you need it.
Takes about a month for cyp/Enanthate to become relevant and fully saturated so expect a delay. You could expedite that by using prop or sustanon and pinning every day though and have an almost immediate change in landscape.
Results will 100% truly hinge on your diet. If you're trying to bulk then eating in a surplus is mandatory. Doing this in June is a perplexing time of year to be starting a bulk tbh. It's the lean season. But to each their own.
Good luck.
I'm so confused, I'm 37 but I'm sure you didn't mean to insult me -- jk... the main thing that I'm cautious about with the increase is the estrogen swing. I feel like everything is pretty stable right now and before I go messing with anything I just want to make sure that the benefits would be worth the extra estrogen and everything that goes along with it
My bad for some reason I thought ur bday said 1983. I guess I'm the only old guy around here
Its all good bro, I was just joking around. Hanging on to every year of youth I have lol.

Ya but you're a DILF

In your 40’s? Gross.
Im 40. And yeah it's gross. Every time I see my reflection I just start throwing haymakers
I agree 100%. If you’ve only been running test for four months and your bf is above 15% then you could have a decent recomp in a moderate deficit. Upping the test will have marginal benefits compared to the additional sides that will come along with it.
I have not only been running tests for 4 months but I have been at 250 for 4 months
So youve been running 250mg a week for 4 months, youre gonna drop the hgh and just run 250mg of test to bulk on?
Are you still experiencing gains is really the question?
I like that youre being cautious, making health a priority. I wish i had that disciplin still.
The side effects youre worried about... you may or may not respond well to a higher test dose. I see alot of ppl being able to tolerate 350-400mg, maybe 500mg a week of test wo any intolerable or permanent sides, but... you never really know until you try. No one can guarantee whats gonna happen but chances are, if youre in good health already, keep an AI on hand, most likely youll get some oily skin, a couple pimples while on, maybe some ball shrinkage.
Id be surprised if you keep seing gains on 250mg, after youve been on it so long.
You could double your dose or raise it to 350/400. You could drop it to 100mg a week for a month or two, let your receptors refresh (or whatever is happening biologically). Then start another low dose cycle again.
What is it youre mainly worried about? Shutting your natural test production off for good? Balding? Acne? If you can handle 250mg and 4iu for 4 months, I dont think 400mg is gonna result in any side effects that arent temporary/tolerable.
After years of experience, here is what I’ve found.
You’re about to get 30 different answers.
Try it. Bump it up for a couple weeks. Listen to your body.
Do you feel better or worse? Go up or down depending on that.
Get labs periodically to make sure nothing silent is creeping up.
That’s how you dial it in.
Or you can run a cookie cutter cycle can get pretty good gains.
Well said, I’ve taken cookie cutter style approach and had great results and also terrible sides so it’s really personal. For once I’m actually going the low and slow, minimal effective dose, with bloods to dial it in and haven’t felt better and have zero sides. Long esters are harder just because it take patience which a lot of us struggle with. But once a baseline is established you can take that and really run with it.
I’m a big proponent of just trying shit to see what works for the individual. Dropping GH has me scratching my head a bit tho.
Yeah I’m happy running it on my trt dose but I CAN NOT WAIT till my blast that’s where I wanna see it do its magic
