Bigun2Cash app is the easiest I’ve found. I’ve used them all but Cashapp seems to be the simplest and most straight forward.
Coinbase is the one I would stay away from. Easy to use but if you google their reviews you will see multiple reports of people's accounts being locked out with no reason, transactions on hold till you provide your ID and selfie again, and their site going down.
Obviously this is not good especially at times when the value of a crypto is falling sharply and you can not even access your account to move your money. Or making an order from a source, purchasing btc to send to your source then your account gets locked and by the time it gets unlocked the value of your btc has decreased.
I use exodus as it is the most secure and you can set your fees manually. Also lets you change your wallet address. Can also link external crypto hardware wallet.
UNIT_yeah ive heard some bad things about coinbase... i dont plan on using them
but i have exodus as my wallet have you tried purchasing bitcoin through the app with apple pay?
and i didnt know you could change your bitcoin address on exodus
In the wallet click on Bitcoin then in the right hand corner there are 3 dots like a menu sign, click this. Then click advance option and then "enable multiple addresses" there also the option below to set custom fees which you can also enable and then each time you set up a transaction you can set the fee manually.
I don't know much about Apple pay but I wouldn't register or use my personal payment details on the wallet as the whole appeal of Exodus is trying to keep anonymous.
UNIT_thanks bro ill check it out... whats the reason someone should change they're bitcoin address?
also i decided to use cashapp it was super easy to send to my wallet but i can no longer see the "send and receive" option on the exodus app in my profile it just shows the exodus logo... anyone know how to fix this?
Bigun2Security. Don’t keep the same wallet and don’t pay with the wallet you use to buy the BTC. Always send to at least a 2nd wallet. The 3rd wallet would be the sources.
UNIT_so if i enable the multiple addresses option on exodus would that be good enough?
could having different addresses cause transaction problems when ordering from sources?
Bigun2Yea I’ve been using it as an additional layer between where I purchase the BTC and where I send them to.
AnonWhat does it mean/how do you set your fees manually?
The network fee to send the money on the exchange is calculated automatically by most crypto exchanges and is deducted from the amount you are going to send (plus the fixed fee). It is normally calculated so that your transaction is usually processed within 30 minutes (from experience). The fees can range from £2-£20 depending on the volume on the BTC exchange. The idea is that the higher the network fee you pay the higher the priority and the quicker your transaction will be processed.
However using Exodus I can manually adjust the fee that I want to pay for my transaction. I have set the fee as low as £0.10 and my transaction still gets processed within 30 minutes.
AnonNice! Thanks for the education. Im going to have to check Exodus out.
Give them a vote if you find it helpful.PermalinkBigun2I just used it based off this thread. It’s a breeze. Used it as a pass through wallet to break the chain from the wallet I purchased into. Then I can burn that wallet (Exodus) and use a new one next time.
Cashapp, Bitpay are both good. Coinbase is also ok.
Soon you’ll be able to buy at a grocery store
Cashapp
Coinbase
And Robinhood are what I use
I use coinable. I think no matter what the first time you use any of the apps for buying crypto you have to in the beginning
i get mine from cashapp and transfer it through 2 diff wallets
UNIT_how long does cash app usually take to send it to your wallet?
